all that is in thine heart

בִּֽלְבָבְךָ֖

Do

עֲשֵׂ֑ה

 

כִּ֥י

for God

הָֽאֱלֹהִ֖ים

 

עִמָּֽךְ׃

 

וַיְהִ֖י

And it came to pass the same night

בַּלַּ֣יְלָה

 

הַה֑וּא

 

וַֽיְהִי֙

that the word

דְּבַר

of God

אֱלֹהִ֔ים

came to Nathan

נָתָ֖ן

saying

לֵאמֹֽר׃

 

לֵ֤ךְ

Thus saith

David

דָּוִ֣יד

my servant

עַבְדִּ֔י

 

כֹּ֖ה

Thus saith

אָמַ֣ר

the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

 

לֹ֥א

 

אַתָּ֛ה

Thou shalt not build

תִּבְנֶה

 

לִּ֥י

me an house

הַבַּ֖יִת

to dwell in

לָשָֽׁבֶת׃

 

כִּ֣י

 

לֹ֤א

For I have not dwelt in

יָשַׁ֙בְתִּי֙

an house

בְּבַ֔יִת

 

מִן

since the day

הַיּ֣וֹם

 

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

that I brought up

הֶֽעֱלֵ֙יתִי֙

צְבָא֔וֹת

 

אֲנִ֤י

I took

לְקַחְתִּ֙יךָ֙

thee from the sheepcote

הַנָּוֶ֔ה

even from following

אַחֲרֵ֖י

the sheep

הַצֹּ֑אן

 

לִֽהְי֣וֹת

that thou shouldest be ruler

נָגִ֔יד

 

עַ֖ל

over my people

עַמִּ֥י

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

 

וָאֶֽהְיֶ֣ה

 

עִמְּךָ֗

 

בְּכֹל֙

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked

הָלַ֔כְתָּ

and have cut off

וָֽאַכְרִ֥ית

 

אֶת

 

כָּל

all thine enemies

אֽוֹיְבֶ֖יךָ

from before

מִפָּנֶ֑יךָ

thee and have made

וְעָשִׂ֤יתִֽי

 

לְךָ֙

like the name

כְּשֵׁ֥ם

like the name

כְּשֵׁ֥ם

of the great men

הַגְּדוֹלִ֖ים

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

that are in the earth

בָּאָֽרֶץ׃

Also I will ordain

וְשַׂמְתִּ֣י

a place

מָ֠קוֹם

for my people

לְעַמִּ֨י

יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל

and will plant

וּנְטַעְתִּ֙יהוּ֙

them and they shall dwell

וְשָׁכַ֣ן

 

תַּחְתָּ֔יו

 

וְלֹ֥א

in their place and shall be moved

יִרְגַּ֖ז

 

ע֑וֹד

 

וְלֹֽא

them any more

יוֹסִ֤יפוּ

no more neither shall the children

בְנֵֽי

of wickedness

עַוְלָה֙

waste

לְבַלֹּת֔וֹ

 

כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֖ר

as at the beginning

בָּרִֽאשׁוֹנָֽה׃

that I commanded

be expired

מָלְא֤וּ

And it shall come to pass when thy days

יָמֶ֙יךָ֙

 

לָלֶ֣כֶת

 

עִם

to be with thy fathers

אֲבֹתֶ֔יךָ

that I will raise up

וַהֲקִֽימוֹתִ֤י

 

אֶֽת

thy seed

זַרְעֲךָ֙

after

אַֽחֲרֶ֔יךָ

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

 

יִֽהְיֶ֖ה

thee which shall be of thy sons

מִבָּנֶ֑יךָ

and I will establish

וַהֲכִֽינוֹתִ֖י

his kingdom

מַלְכוּתֽוֹ׃

He shall build

יִבְנֶה

I will be his father

and he shall be my son

my mercy

וְחַסְדִּי֙

and I will not take

הֲסִיר֔וֹתִי

and I will not take

הָיָ֖ה

it from him that was before

לְפָנֶֽיךָ׃

But I will settle

וְהַֽעֲמַדְתִּ֛יהוּ

him in mine house

בְּבֵיתִ֥י

and in my kingdom

וּבְמַלְכוּתִ֖י

עַד

evermore

עוֹלָֽם׃

and his throne

וְכִסְא֕וֹ

 

יִֽהְיֶ֥ה

shall be established

נָכ֖וֹן

דָּוִֽיד׃

הֲבִֽיאֹתַ֖נִי

הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ

וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב

לִפְנֵ֣י

and what is mine house

בֵיתִ֔י

הֲבִֽיאֹתַ֖נִי

me hitherto

הֲלֹֽם׃

And yet this was a small thing

וַתִּקְטַ֨ן

in thine eyes

בְּעֵינֶ֙יךָ֙

אֱלֹהִֽים׃

for thou hast also spoken

וַתְּדַבֵּ֥ר

of thy servant's

there is none like thee neither is there any God

אֲשֶׁר

thee according to all that we have heard

שָׁמַ֖עְנוּ

with our ears

בְּאָזְנֵֽינוּ׃

is like thy people

עַמְּךָ֛

גּוֹיִֽם׃

אֶחָ֖ד

in the earth

בָּאָ֑רֶץ

הָלַ֨ךְ

whom God

הָֽאֱלֹהִ֜ים

is like thy people

עַמְּךָ֛

thee a name

of greatness

גְּדֻלּ֣וֹת

and terribleness

by driving out

לְגָרֵ֗שׁ

from before

מִפְּנֵ֧י

is like thy people

פָּדִ֥יתָ

out of Egypt

מִמִּצְרַ֖יִם

be established

וַֽעֲשֵׂ֖ה

 

כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר

as thou hast said

דִּבַּֽרְתָּ׃

Let it even be established

וְ֠יֵֽאָמֵן

may be magnified

וְיִגְדַּ֨ל

and hast promised

this goodness

Now therefore let it please

הוֹאַ֙לְתָּ֙

and it shall be blessed

וּמְבֹרָ֖ךְ

לְעוֹלָֽם׃
