them under the soles

וְעַתָּ֕ה

so that there is neither adversary

occurrent

nor evil

וְהִנְנִ֣י

And behold I purpose

לֵאמֹ֔ר

in thy room he shall build

יִבְנֶ֥ה

an house

הַבַּ֖יִת

unto my ~

לִשְׁמִֽי׃

as the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

my God

אֱלֹהָ֑י

 

כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֣ר׀

spake

דִּבֶּ֣ר

as the LORD

unto David

דָּוִ֤ד

my father

אָבִי֙

And behold I purpose

לֵאמֹ֔ר

Thy son

בִּנְךָ֗

 

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

whom I will set

אֶתֵּ֤ן

 

תַּחְתֶּ֙יךָ֙

 

עַל

upon thy throne

כִּסְאֶ֔ךָ

 

הֽוּא

in thy room he shall build

יִבְנֶ֥ה

an house

הַבַּ֖יִת

unto my ~

לִשְׁמִֽי׃

 

וְעַתָּ֡ה

Now therefore command

צַוֵּה֩

thou that they hew

לִכְרָת

 

לִ֨י

me cedar trees

אֲרָזִ֜ים

 

מִן

out of Lebanon

הַלְּבָנ֗וֹן

and my servants

עֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙

 

יִֽהְי֣וּ

 

עִם

and my servants

עֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙

hire

וּשְׂכַ֤ר

and my servants

עֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙

and unto thee will I give

אֶתֵּ֣ן

 

לְךָ֔

 

כְּכֹ֖ל

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

according to all that thou shalt appoint

תֹּאמֵ֑ר

 

כִּ֣י׀

 

אַתָּ֣ה

for thou knowest

יֹדֵ֥עַ

בָּ֛נוּ

that there is not among us any

that he rejoiced

וַיִּשְׂמַ֣ח

מְאֹ֑ד

and said

וַיֹּ֗אמֶר

Blessed

בָּר֤וּךְ

be the LORD

יְהוָה֙

this day

הַיּ֔וֹם

 

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

which hath given

נָתַ֤ן

unto David

לְדָוִד֙

son

בֵּ֣ן

a wise

חָכָ֔ם

 

עַל

people

הָעָ֥ם

over this great

הָרָ֖ב

 

הַזֶּֽה׃

sent

שָׁלַ֖חְתָּ

And Hiram

חִירָם֙

 

אֶל

to Solomon

שְׁלֹמֹ֣ה

saying

לֵאמֹ֔ר

I have considered

שָׁמַ֕עְתִּי

אֲשֶׁר

שָׁלַ֖חְתָּ

My servants

עֲ֠בָדַי

shall bring them down

יֹרִ֨דוּ

from Lebanon

הַלְּבָנ֜וֹן

them by sea

וַֽ֠אֲנִי

and I will convey

אֲשִׂימֵ֨ם

in floats

דֹּֽבְר֤וֹת

unto the place

הַמָּק֞וֹם

that thou shalt appoint
