and they shall take away

וְלָקְח֣וּ

her multitude

הֲמוֹנָ֔הּ

וְנֶהֶרְס֖וּ

and her foundations

They also that uphold

סֹמְכֵ֣י

Egypt

מִצְרַ֔יִם

shall come down

וְיָרַ֖ד

and the pride

גְּא֣וֹן

of her power

עֻזָּ֑הּ

from the tower

מִמִּגְדֹּ֣ל

of Syene

סְוֵנֵ֗ה

in it by the sword

בַּחֶ֙רֶב֙

shall fall

יִפְּלוּ

 

בָ֔הּ

saith

נְאֻ֖ם

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֥י

the LORD

יְהוִֽה׃

And they shall be desolate

נְשַׁמּ֑וֹת

in the midst

בְּתוֹךְ

of the countries

אֲרָצ֣וֹת

And they shall be desolate

נְשַׁמּ֑וֹת

and her cities

עָרִ֥ים

in the midst

בְּתוֹךְ

and her cities

עָרִ֥ים

that are wasted

נַחֲרָב֖וֹת

 

תִּֽהְיֶֽינָה׃

And they shall know

וְיָדְע֖וּ

 

כִּֽי

 

אֲנִ֣י

that I am the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

when I have set

בְּתִתִּי

a fire

אֵ֣שׁ

in Egypt

בְּמִצְרַ֔יִם

shall be destroyed

וְנִשְׁבְּר֖וּ

 

כָּל

and when all her helpers

עֹזְרֶֽיהָ׃

In that day

בְּי֣וֹם

 

הַה֗וּא

go forth

יֵצְא֨וּ

shall messengers

מַלְאָכִ֤ים

from me

מִלְּפָנַי֙

in ships

בַּצִּ֔ים

afraid

לְהַחֲרִ֖יד

 

אֶת

Ethiopians

כּ֣וּשׁ

to make the careless

בֶּ֑טַח

 

וְהָיְתָ֨ה

and great pain

חַלְחָלָ֤ה

 

בָהֶם֙

In that day

בְּי֣וֹם

of Egypt

מִצְרַ֔יִם

 

כִּ֥י

 

הִנֵּ֖ה

for lo it cometh

בָּאָֽה׃

 

כֹּ֥ה

Thus saith

אָמַ֖ר

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֣י

GOD

יְהוִ֑ה

to cease

וְהִשְׁבַּתִּי֙

 

אֶת

I will also make the multitude

הֲמ֣וֹן

of Egypt

מִצְרַ֔יִם

by the hand

בְּיַ֖ד

of Nebuchadrezzar

נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥ר

king

מֶלֶךְ

of Babylon

בָּבֶֽל׃

 

ה֠וּא

He and his people

וְעַמּ֤וֹ

 

אִתּוֹ֙

with him the terrible

עָרִיצֵ֣י

of the nations

גוֹיִ֔ם

shall be brought

מֽוּבָאִ֖ים

to destroy

לְשַׁחֵ֣ת

the land

הָאָ֖רֶץ

and they shall draw

וְהֵרִ֤יקוּ

their swords

חַרְבוֹתָם֙

 

עַל

against Egypt

מִצְרַ֔יִם

and fill

וּמָלְא֥וּ

 

אֶת

the land

הָאָ֖רֶץ

with the slain

חָלָֽל׃

And I will make

וְנָתַתִּ֤י

the rivers

יְאֹרִים֙

dry

חָֽרָבָ֔ה

and sell

וּמָכַרְתִּ֥י

 

אֶת

and I will make the land

אֶ֤רֶץ

by the hand

בְּיַד

of the wicked

רָעִ֑ים

waste

וַהֲשִׁמֹּתִ֞י

and I will make the land

אֶ֤רֶץ

and all that is therein

וּמְלֹאָהּ֙

by the hand

בְּיַד

of strangers

זָרִ֔ים

 

אֲנִ֥י

I the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

have spoken

דִּבַּֽרְתִּי׃

 

כֹּֽה

Thus saith

אָמַ֞ר

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֣י

GOD

יְהוִ֗ה

I will also destroy

וְהַאֲבַדְתִּ֨י

the idols

גִלּוּלִ֜ים

to cease

וְהִשְׁבַּתִּ֤י

and I will cause their images

אֱלִילִים֙

out of Noph

מִנֹּ֔ף

and there shall be no more a prince

וְנָשִׂ֥יא

in the land

בְּאֶ֥רֶץ

of Egypt

מִצְרָֽיִם׃

 

לֹ֣א

 

יִֽהְיֶה

 

ע֑וֹד

and I will put

וְנָתַתִּ֥י

a fear

יִרְאָ֖ה

in the land

בְּאֶ֥רֶץ

of Egypt

מִצְרָֽיִם׃

desolate

וַהֲשִׁמֹּתִי֙

 

אֶת

And I will make Pathros

פַּתְר֔וֹס

and will set

וְנָתַ֥תִּי

fire

אֵ֖שׁ

in Zoan

בְּצֹ֑עַן

and will execute

וְעָשִׂ֥יתִי

judgments

שְׁפָטִ֖ים

in No

בְּנֹֽא׃

And I will pour

וְשָׁפַכְתִּ֣י

my fury

חֲמָתִ֔י

 

עַל

upon Sin

סִ֖ין

the strength

מָע֣וֹז

of Egypt

מִצְרָ֑יִם

and I will cut off

וְהִכְרַתִּ֖י

 

אֶת

the multitude

הֲמ֥וֹן

of No

נֹֽא׃

And I will set

וְנָתַ֤תִּי

fire

אֵשׁ֙

in Egypt

בְּמִצְרַ֔יִם

pain

תָּחיּל֙

Sin

סִ֔ין

לְהִבָּקֵ֑עַ

when I shall break

בְּשִׁבְרִי

there the yokes

מֹט֣וֹת

of Egypt

מִצְרַ֔יִם

shall cease

וְנִשְׁבַּת

 

בָּ֖הּ

and the pomp

גְּא֣וֹן

of her strength

עֻזָּ֑הּ

in her

הִ֚יא

as for her a cloud

עָנָ֣ן

shall cover

יְכַסֶּ֔נָּה

her and her daughters

וּבְנוֹתֶ֖יהָ

into captivity

בַּשְּׁבִ֥י

 

תֵלַֽכְנָה׃

Thus will I execute

וְעָשִׂ֥יתִי

judgments

שְׁפָטִ֖ים

in Egypt

בְּמִצְרָ֑יִם

and they shall know

וְיָדְע֖וּ

 

כִּֽי

 

אֲנִ֥י

that I am the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

 

וַיְהִ֗י

And it came to pass in the eleventh

בְּאַחַ֤ת

 

עֶשְׂרֵה֙

year

שָׁנָ֔ה

in the first

בָּֽרִאשׁ֖וֹן

month in the seventh

בְּשִׁבְעָ֣ה

day of the month

לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ

 

הָיָ֥ה

that the word

דְבַר

of the LORD

the arm

זְר֛וֹעַ

of Pharaoh

פַּרְעֹ֥ה

מִצְרַ֖יִם

I have broken

שָׁבָ֑רְתִּי

 

וְהִנֵּ֣ה

 

לֹֽא

and lo it shall not be bound up

לְחָבְשָׁ֥הּ

 

לָתֵ֨ת

to be healed

רְפֻא֜וֹת

to put

לָשׂ֥וּם

a roller

חִתּ֛וּל

and lo it shall not be bound up

לְחָבְשָׁ֥הּ

it to make it strong

לְחָזְקָ֖הּ

to hold

לִתְפֹּ֥שׂ

the sword

בֶּחָֽרֶב׃

 

לָכֵ֞ן

Therefore thus saith

אָמַ֣ר׀

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֣י

GOD

יְהוִֹ֗ה

 

הִנְנִי֙

 

אֶל

Behold I am against Pharaoh

פַּרְעֹ֣ה

king

מֶֽלֶךְ

of Egypt

מִצְרַ֔יִם

and that which was broken

הַנִּשְׁבָּ֑רֶת

 

אֶת

his arms

זְרֹ֣עֹתָ֔יו

 

אֶת

the strong

הַחֲזָקָ֖ה

 

וְאֶת

and that which was broken

הַנִּשְׁבָּ֑רֶת

to fall

וְהִפַּלְתִּ֥י

 

אֶת

and I will cause the sword

הַחֶ֖רֶב

out of his hand

מִיָּדֽוֹ׃

And I will scatter

וַהֲפִצוֹתִ֥י

 

אֶת

the Egyptians

מִצְרַ֖יִם

among the nations

בַּגּוֹיִ֑ם

and will disperse

וְזֵרִיתִ֖ם

them through the countries

בָּאֲרָצֽוֹת׃

And I will strengthen

וְחִזַּקְתִּ֗י

 

אֶת

arms

זְרֹע֣וֹת

of the king

מֶ֣לֶךְ

of Babylon

בָּבֶ֔ל

and put

וְנָתַתִּ֥י

 

אֶת

my sword

חַרְבִּ֖י

in his hand

בְּיָד֑וֹ

but I will break

וְשָׁבַרְתִּי֙

 

אֶת

arms

זְרֹע֣וֹת

Pharaoh's

פַּרְעֹ֔ה

and he shall groan

וְנָאַ֛ק

him with the groanings

נַאֲק֥וֹת

of a deadly wounded

חָלָ֖ל

before

לְפָנָֽיו׃

But I will strengthen

וְהַחֲזַקְתִּ֗י

 

אֶת

and the arms

וּזְרֹע֥וֹת

of the king

מֶֽלֶךְ

of Babylon

בָּבֶ֔ל

and the arms

וּזְרֹע֥וֹת

of Pharaoh

פַּרְעֹ֖ה

shall fall down

תִּפֹּ֑לְנָה

and they shall know

וְֽיָדְע֞וּ

 

כִּֽי

 

אֲנִ֣י

that I am the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

when I shall put

בְּתִתִּ֤י

my sword

חַרְבִּי֙

into the hand

בְּיַ֣ד

of the king

מֶֽלֶךְ

of Babylon

בָּבֶ֔ל

and he shall stretch it out

וְנָטָ֥ה

 

אוֹתָ֖הּ

 

אֶל

upon the land

אֶ֥רֶץ

of Egypt

מִצְרָֽיִם׃

And I will scatter

וַהֲפִצוֹתִ֤י

 

אֶת

the Egyptians

מִצְרַ֙יִם֙

among the nations

בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם

and disperse

וְזֵרִיתִ֥י

 

אוֹתָ֖ם

them among the countries

בָּאֲרָצ֑וֹת

and they shall know

וְיָדְע֖וּ

 

כִּֽי

 

אֲנִ֥י

that I am the LORD
