for you O ye to dwell

לָשֶׁ֖בֶת

and this house

וְהַבַּ֥יִת

in your cieled

סְפוּנִ֑ים

and this house

וְהַבַּ֥יִת

 

הַזֶּ֖ה

lie waste

חָרֵֽב׃

 

וְעַתָּ֕ה

 

כֹּ֥ה

Now therefore thus saith

אָמַ֖ר

the LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

of hosts

צְבָא֑וֹת

Consider

שִׂ֥ימוּ

 

לְבַבְכֶ֖ם

 

עַל

your ways

דַּרְכֵיכֶֽם׃

Ye have sown

זְרַעְתֶּ֨ם

much

הַרְבֵּ֜ה

and bring

וְהָבֵ֣א

in little

מְעָ֗ט

ye eat

אָכ֤וֹל

 

וְאֵין

but ye have not enough

לְשָׂבְעָה֙

ye drink

שָׁת֣וֹ

 

וְאֵין

but ye are not filled with drink

לְשָׁכְרָ֔ה

ye clothe

לָב֖וֹשׁ

 

וְאֵין

you but there is none warm

לְחֹ֣ם

and he that earneth wages

מִשְׂתַּכֵּ֖ר

Consider

שִׂ֥ימוּ

 

לְבַבְכֶ֖ם

 

עַל

your ways

דַּרְכֵיכֶֽם׃

Go up

עֲל֥וּ

to the mountain

הָהָ֛ר

and bring

וַהֲבֵאתֶ֥ם

wood

עֵ֖ץ

and build

וּבְנ֣וּ

the house

הַבָּ֑יִת

and I will take pleasure

וְאֶרְצֶה

 

בּ֥וֹ

in it and I will be glorified

וְאֶכָּבְדָ֖

saith

אָמַ֥ר

יְהוָֽה׃

Therefore the heaven

from her fruit

for a drought
