from Jerusalem

מֵרֹֽעַ׃

And I said

וָאֹמַ֖ר

the LORD

יְהוָ֜ה

 

אֵלַ֗י

אַתָּ֤ה

unto me What seest

רֹאֶה֙

thou Jeremiah

יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ

And I said

וָאֹמַ֖ר

הַתְּאֵנִ֤ים

מֵרֹֽעַ׃

 

וַיְהִ֥י

Again the word

דְבַר

of the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

 

אֵלַ֥י

came unto me saying

לֵאמֹֽר׃

 

כֹּֽה

Thus saith

אָמַ֤ר

the LORD

יְהוָה֙

the God

אֱלֹהֵ֣י

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

figs

כַּתְּאֵנִ֥ים

Like these good

לְטוֹבָֽה׃

 

הָאֵ֑לֶּה

 

כֵּֽן

so will I acknowledge

אַכִּ֞יר

 

אֶת

them that are carried away captive

גָּל֣וּת

of Judah

יְהוּדָ֗ה

 

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

whom I have sent

שִׁלַּ֜חְתִּי

 

מִן

out of this place

הַמָּק֥וֹם

 

הַזֶּ֛ה

into the land

אֶ֥רֶץ

of the Chaldeans

כַּשְׂדִּ֖ים

Like these good

לְטוֹבָֽה׃

For I will set

וְשַׂמְתִּ֨י

mine eyes

עֵינִ֤י

 

עֲלֵיהֶם֙

upon them for good

לְטוֹבָ֔ה

and I will bring them again

וַהֲשִׁבֹתִ֖ים

 

עַל

to this land

הָאָ֣רֶץ

 

הַזֹּ֑את

and I will build

וּבְנִיתִים֙

 

וְלֹ֣א

them and not pull them down

אֶהֱרֹ֔ס

and I will plant

וּנְטַעְתִּ֖ים

 

וְלֹ֥א

them and not pluck them up

אֶתּֽוֹשׁ׃

And I will give

וְנָתַתִּי֩

 

לָהֶ֨ם

them an heart

לִבָּֽם׃

to know

לָדַ֣עַת

 

אֹתִ֗י

 

כִּ֚י

 

אֲנִ֣י

me that I am the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

 

וְהָיוּ

 

לִ֣י

and they shall be my people

לְעָ֔ם

 

וְאָ֣נֹכִ֔י

 

אֶהְיֶ֥ה

 

לָהֶ֖ם

and I will be their God

לֵאלֹהִ֑ים

 

כִּֽי

for they shall return

יָשֻׁ֥בוּ

 

אֵלַ֖י

 

בְּכָל

them an heart

לִבָּֽם׃

figs

וְכַתְּאֵנִים֙

And as the evil

הָֽרָע֔וֹת

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

 

לֹא

which cannot be eaten

תֵאָכַ֖לְנָה

they are so evil

מֵרֹ֑עַ

 

כִּי

 

כֹ֣ה׀

surely thus saith

אָמַ֣ר

the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

 

כֵּ֣ן

So will I give

אֶ֠תֵּן

 

אֶת

Zedekiah

צִדְקִיָּ֨הוּ

the king

מֶֽלֶךְ

of Judah

יְהוּדָ֤ה

 

וְאֶת

and his princes

שָׂרָיו֙

 

וְאֵ֣ת׀

and the residue

שְׁאֵרִ֣ית

of Jerusalem

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם

that remain

הַנִּשְׁאָרִים֙

in the land

בְּאֶ֥רֶץ

 

הַזֹּ֔את

and them that dwell

וְהַיֹּשְׁבִ֖ים

in the land

בְּאֶ֥רֶץ

of Egypt

מִצְרָֽיִם׃

And I will deliver

וּנְתַתִּים֙

 

לְזַוֲעָ֣ה

for their hurt

לְרָעָ֔ה

 

לְכֹ֖ל

into all the kingdoms

מַמְלְכ֣וֹת

of the earth

הָאָ֑רֶץ

to be a reproach

לְחֶרְפָּ֤ה

and a proverb

וּלְמָשָׁל֙

a taunt

לִשְׁנִינָ֣ה

and a curse

וְלִקְלָלָ֔ה

 

בְּכָל

in all places

הַמְּקֹמ֖וֹת

 

אֲשֶֽׁר

whither I shall drive

אַדִּיחֵ֥ם

 

שָֽׁם׃

And I will send

וְשִׁלַּ֣חְתִּי

 

בָ֔ם

 

אֶת

the sword

הַחֶ֖רֶב

 

אֶת

the famine

הָרָעָ֣ב

 

וְאֶת

and the pestilence

הַדָּ֑בֶר

 

עַד

among them till they be consumed

תֻּמָּם֙

 

מֵעַ֣ל

from off the land

הָאֲדָמָ֔ה

 

אֲשֶׁר

that I gave

נָתַ֥תִּי

 

לָהֶ֖ם

unto them and to their fathers

וְלַאֲבוֹתֵיהֶֽם׃
