and sending

וְשָׁלֹ֖חַ

And the LORD

יְהוָ֨ה

 

אֲלֵיכֶ֜ם

unto you all his servants

עֲבָדָ֧יו

the prophets

הַנְּבִאִ֛ים

rising early

הַשְׁכֵּ֥ם

and sending

וְשָׁלֹ֖חַ

them but ye have not hearkened

לִשְׁמֹֽעַ׃

 

וְלֹֽא

nor inclined

הִטִּיתֶ֥ם

 

אֶֽת

your ear

אָזְנְכֶ֖ם

them but ye have not hearkened

לִשְׁמֹֽעַ׃

They said

לֵאמֹ֗ר

Turn ye again

שֽׁוּבוּ

 

נָ֞א

now every one

אִ֣ישׁ

way

מִדַּרְכּ֤וֹ

from his evil

הָֽרָעָה֙

and from the evil

וּמֵרֹ֣עַ

of your doings

מַעַלְלֵיכֶ֔ם

and dwell

וּשְׁבוּ֙

 

עַל

in the land

הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה

 

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

hath given

נָתַ֧ן

that the LORD

יְהוָ֛ה

 

לָכֶ֖ם

unto you and to your fathers

וְלַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם

 

לְמִן

and ever

עוֹלָֽם׃

for

וְעַד

and ever

אַֽחֲרֵי֙

gods

אֱלֹהִ֣ים

to serve

לְעָבְדָ֖ם

them and provoke me not to anger

תַכְעִ֤יסוּ

with the works

בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֣ה

and I will do you no hurt

אָרַ֖ע

Yet ye have not hearkened

שְׁמַעְתֶּ֥ם

 

אֵלַ֖י

unto me saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

 

לְמַ֧עַן

that ye might provoke me to anger

הַכְעִסוֵ֛נִי

with the works

בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה

of your hands

יְדֵיכֶ֖ם

to your own hurt

לְרַ֥ע

 

לָכֶֽם׃

 

לָכֵ֕ן

 

כֹּ֥ה

Therefore thus saith

אָמַ֖ר

the LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

of hosts

צְבָא֑וֹת

 

יַ֕עַן

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

 

לֹֽא

Because ye have not heard

שְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ם

 

אֶת

my words

דְּבָרָֽי׃

 

הִנְנִ֣י

Behold I will send

שֹׁלֵ֡חַ

and take

וְלָקַחְתִּי֩

 

אֶת

 

כָּל

all the families

מִשְׁפְּח֨וֹת

of the north

צָפ֜וֹן

saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

 

וְאֶל

and Nebuchadrezzar

נְבֽוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֣ר

the king

מֶֽלֶךְ

of Babylon

בָּבֶל֮

my servant

עַבְדִּי֒

and will bring

וַהֲבִ֨אֹתִ֜ים

 

עַל

them against this land

הָאָ֤רֶץ

 

הַזֹּאת֙

 

וְעַל

and against the inhabitants

יֹ֣שְׁבֶ֔יהָ

 

וְעַ֛ל

 

כָּל

thereof and against all these nations

הַגּוֹיִ֥ם

 

הָאֵ֖לֶּה

round about

סָבִ֑יב

and will utterly destroy

וְהַ֣חֲרַמְתִּ֔ים

them and make

וְשַׂמְתִּים֙

them an astonishment

לְשַׁמָּ֣ה

and an hissing

וְלִשְׁרֵקָ֔ה

desolations

וּלְחָרְב֖וֹת

and perpetual

עוֹלָֽם׃

Moreover I will take

וְהַאֲבַדְתִּ֣י

 

מֵהֶ֗ם

and the voice

ק֥וֹל

of mirth

שָׂשׂוֹן֙

and the voice

ק֥וֹל

of gladness

שִׂמְחָ֔ה

and the voice

ק֥וֹל

of the bridegroom

חָתָ֖ן

and the voice

ק֥וֹל

of the bride

כַּלָּ֑ה

and the voice

ק֥וֹל

of the millstones

רֵחַ֖יִם

and the light

וְא֥וֹר

of the candle

נֵֽר׃

 

וְהָֽיְתָה֙

And this whole land

הָאָ֣רֶץ

shall be a desolation

לְחָרְבָּ֖ה

and an astonishment

וְעָ֨בְד֜וּ

and these nations

And I will bring

all my words

them according to their deeds

כְּפָעֳלָ֖ם

and according to the works

וּכְמַעֲשֵׂ֥ה

of their own hands

יְדֵיהֶֽם׃

For thus saith

אָמַ֨ר

the LORD

יְהוָ֜ה

God

אֱלֹהֵ֤י

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵל֙

unto me Take

קַ֠ח

 

אֶת

cup

כּ֨וֹס

the wine

הַיַּ֧יִן

of this fury

הַחֵמָ֛ה

 

הַזֹּ֖את

at my hand

מִיָּדִ֑י

thee to drink

וְהִשְׁקִיתָ֤ה

 

אֹתוֹ֙

 

אֶת

 

כָּל

and cause all the nations

הַגּוֹיִ֔ם

 

אֲשֶׁ֧ר

 

אָנֹכִ֛י

to whom I send

שֹׁלֵ֥חַ

 

אוֹתְךָ֖

 

אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

And they shall drink

וְשָׁת֕וּ

and be moved

וְהִֽתְגֹּֽעֲשׁ֖וּ

and be mad

וְהִתְהֹלָ֑לוּ

הַחֶ֔רֶב

that I will send

וָאֶקַּ֥ח

I the cup

הַכּ֖וֹס

hand

מִיַּ֣ד

at the LORD'S

יְהוָ֖ה

to drink

וָֽאַשְׁקֶה֙

כָּל

and made all the nations

הַגּוֹיִ֔ם

 

אֲשֶׁר

had sent

שְׁלָחַ֥נִי

at the LORD'S

יְהוָ֖ה

To wit Jerusalem

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙

עָרֵ֣י

of Judah

thereof and the princes

שָׂרֶ֑יהָ

them a desolation

he shall mightily

יִשְׁאַג֙

habitation

וּמִמְּע֤וֹן

from his holy

קָדְשׁוֹ֙

and utter

his voice

upon his habitation

נָוֵ֔הוּ

a shout

הֵידָד֙

as they that tread

בָּשָׂ֑ר

them that are wicked

הָרְשָׁעִ֛ים

he will give

נְתָנָ֥ם

to the sword

לַחֶ֖רֶב

Behold evil

רָעָ֛ה

shall go forth

יֹצֵ֖את

from nation

גּ֑וֹי

 

אֶל

from nation

גּ֑וֹי

whirlwind

וְסַ֣עַר

and a great

גָּד֔וֹל

shall be raised up

יֵע֖וֹר

from the coasts

מִיַּרְכְּתֵי

of the earth

אָֽרֶץ׃

 

וְהָי֞וּ

And the slain

חַֽלְלֵ֤י

of the LORD

יְהוָה֙

shall be at that day

בַּיּ֣וֹם

even unto the other end

קְצֵ֣ה

Howl

הֵילִ֨ילוּ

ye shepherds

הָרֹעִ֜ים

and cry

וְזַעֲק֗וּ

and wallow

וְהִֽתְפַּלְּשׁוּ֙

yourselves in the ashes ye principal

אַדִּירֵ֣י

of the flock

הַצֹּ֔אן

 

כִּֽי

are accomplished

מָלְא֥וּ

for the days

יְמֵיכֶ֖ם

of your slaughter

לִטְב֑וֹחַ

and of your dispersions

וּתְפוֹצ֣וֹתִיכֶ֔ם

and ye shall fall

וּנְפַלְתֶּ֖ם

vessel

כִּכְלִ֥י

like a pleasant

חֶמְדָּֽה׃

to flee

וְאָבַ֥ד

shall have no way

מָנ֖וֹס

 

מִן

And the shepherds

הָֽרֹעִ֑ים

to escape

וּפְלֵיטָ֖ה

nor the principal

מֵאַדִּירֵ֥י

of the flock

הַצֹּֽאן׃

A voice
