הַקְשִֽׁיבוּ׃

הַ֭לְאֵל

Will ye speak

תְּֽדַבְּר֥וּ

wickedly

עַוְלָ֑ה

 

וְ֝ל֗וֹ

Will ye speak

תְּֽדַבְּר֥וּ

deceitfully

רְמִיָּֽה׃

his person

הֲפָנָ֥יו

Will ye accept

תִּשָּׂא֑וּן

 

אִם

for God

לָאֵ֥ל

will ye contend

תְּרִיבֽוּן׃

 

הֲ֭טוֹב

 

כִּֽי

that he should search you out

יַחְקֹ֣ר

 

אֶתְכֶ֑ם

 

אִם

another do ye so mock

תְּהָתֵ֥לּוּ

 

בֶּ֝אֱנ֗וֹשׁ

עֲלֵיכֶֽם׃

Your remembrances

זִֽ֭כְרֹנֵיכֶם

are like

מִשְׁלֵי

unto ashes

אֵ֑פֶר

to bodies

גַּבֵּיכֶֽם׃

of clay

חֹ֝֗מֶר

to bodies

Hold your peace

הַחֲרִ֣ישׁוּ

 

מִ֭מֶּנִּי

let me alone that I may speak

וַאֲדַבְּרָה

 

אָ֑נִי

Wherefore do I take

אֶשָּׂ֣א

my flesh

בְשָׂרִ֣י

in my teeth

in mine hand

בְּכַפִּֽי׃

Though

הֵ֣ן

he slay

יִ֭קְטְלֵנִי

me yet will I trust

אֲיַחֵ֑ל

 

אַךְ

mine own ways

דְּ֝רָכַ֗י

 

אֶל

פָּנָ֥יו

in him but I will maintain

אוֹכִֽיחַ׃

He also shall be my salvation

I know

יָ֝דַ֗עְתִּי

that I shall be justified

from me and let not thy dread

make me to know

הֹדִיעֵֽנִי׃

 

לָֽמָּה

thou thy face

פָנֶ֥יךָ

Wherefore hidest

תַסְתִּ֑יר

and holdest

וְתַחְשְׁבֵ֖נִי

me for thine enemy

לְאוֹיֵ֣ב

 

לָֽךְ׃

a leaf

הֶעָלֶ֣ה

driven to and fro

נִדָּ֣ף

Wilt thou break

תַּעֲר֑וֹץ

 

וְאֶת

stubble

קַ֖שׁ

the dry

יָבֵ֣שׁ

and wilt thou pursue

תִּרְדֹּֽף׃

 

כִּֽי

For thou writest

תִכְתֹּ֣ב

 

עָלַ֣י

bitter things

מְרֹר֑וֹת

against me and makest me to possess

וְ֝תוֹרִישֵׁ֗נִי

the iniquities

עֲוֹנ֥וֹת

of my youth

נְעוּרָֽי׃

Thou puttest

וְתָ֘שֵׂ֤ם

also in the stocks

בַּסַּ֨ד׀

my feet

רַ֝גְלַ֗י

and lookest narrowly

וְתִשְׁמ֥וֹר

 

כָּל

unto all my paths

אָרְחוֹתָ֑י

 

עַל

upon the heels

שָׁרְשֵׁ֥י

my feet

רַ֝גְלַ֗י

thou settest a print

תִּתְחַקֶּֽה׃

 

וְ֭הוּא

And he as a rotten thing

כְּרָקָ֣ב

consumeth

יִבְלֶ֑ה

as a garment

כְּ֝בֶ֗גֶד

eaten

אֲכָ֣לוֹ

that is moth

עָֽשׁ׃
