And Samson

שִׁמְשׁ֔וֹן

and caught

וַיִּלְכֹּ֖ד

שְׁלֹשׁ

hundred

מֵא֣וֹת

foxes

שֽׁוּעָלִ֑ים

and took

וַיִּקַּ֣ח

firebrand

לַפִּ֥יד

and turned

וַיֶּ֤פֶן

tail

הַזְּנָב֖וֹת

 

אֶל

הַזְּנָב֖וֹת

and put

וַיָּ֨שֶׂם

firebrand

לַפִּ֥יד

And when he had set

וַיַּבְעֵ֛ר

אִשְׁתּ֔וֹ

וַֽיִּתְּנָ֖הּ

her to his companion

לְמֵֽרֵעֵ֑הוּ

came up

וַיַּֽעֲל֣וּ

And the Philistines

פְלִשְׁתִּ֔ים

and burnt

וַיִּשְׂרְפ֥וּ

 

אוֹתָ֛הּ

 

וְאֶת

her and her father

אָבִ֖יהָ

with fire

בָּאֵֽשׁ׃

said

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר

 

לָהֶם֙

And Samson

שִׁמְשׁ֔וֹן

unto them Though

תַּעֲשׂ֖וּן

yet will I be avenged

And he smote

and he went down

וַיֵּ֣רֶד

עֵיטָֽם׃

וַיַּֽעֲל֣וּ

Then the Philistines

פְלִשְׁתִּ֔ים

and spread

וַיִּנָּֽטְשׁ֖וּ

themselves in Lehi

בַּלֶּֽחִי׃

against us And they answered

unto them Swear

הִשָּֽׁבְע֣וּ

unto me that ye will not fall upon

תִּפְגְּע֥וּן

אַתֶּֽם׃

And they spake

לֵאמֹ֗ר

No but we will bind

וַיַּֽאַסְרֻ֗הוּ

וַיִּקָּחֶ֔הָ

it and slew

And it came to pass when he had made an end

out of his hand

מִיָּד֑וֹ

וַיִּקְרָ֛א

וַיִּצְמָא֮

And he was sore

Thou hast given

נָתַ֣תָּ

into the hand

of thy servant

עַבְדְּךָ֔

deliverance

הַתְּשׁוּעָ֥ה

this great

הַגְּדֹלָ֖ה

 

הַזֹּ֑את

 

וְעַתָּה֙

and now shall I die

אָמ֣וּת

for thirst

בַּצָּמָ֔א

and fall

וְנָֽפַלְתִּ֖י

into the hand

בְּיַ֥ד

of the uncircumcised

הָֽעֲרֵלִֽים׃

וַיִּבְקַ֨ע

But God

אֱלֹהִ֜ים
