but their strength

אוּלָֽם׃

They are not in trouble

בַּעֲמַ֣ל

as other men

אֱנ֣וֹשׁ

 

אֵינֵ֑מוֹ

like

וְעִם

other men

אָ֝דָ֗ם

 

לֹ֣א

neither are they plagued

יְנֻגָּֽעוּ׃

 

לָ֭כֵן

compasseth them about as a chain

עֲנָקַ֣תְמוֹ

גַאֲוָ֑ה

covereth

יַעֲטָף

them as a garment

שִׁ֝֗ית

violence

חָמָ֥ס

 

לָֽמוֹ׃

stand out

יָ֭צָא

with fatness

מֵחֵ֣לֶב

They are corrupt

יָמִ֤יקוּ׀

wickedly

concerning oppression

loftily

מִמָּר֥וֹם

יְדַבֵּֽרוּ׃

They set

שַׁתּ֣וּ

against the heavens

בַשָּׁמַ֣יִם

their mouth

through the earth

בָּאָֽרֶץ׃

How doth God

אֵ֑ל

וְיֵ֖שׁ

knowledge

דֵּעָ֣ה

in the most High

בְעֶלְיֽוֹן׃

 

הִנֵּה

 

אֵ֥לֶּה

Behold these are the ungodly

רְשָׁעִ֑ים

who prosper

וְשַׁלְוֵ֥י

in the world

ע֝וֹלָ֗ם

they increase

הִשְׂגּוּ

in riches

חָֽיִל׃

 

אַךְ

in vain

רִ֭יק

Verily I have cleansed

זִכִּ֣יתִי

my heart

לְבָבִ֑י

and washed

וָאֶרְחַ֖ץ

in innocency

בְּנִקָּי֣וֹן

my hands

כַּפָּֽי׃

 

וָאֱהִ֣י

long have I been plagued

נָ֭גוּעַ

 

כָּל

For all the day

הַיּ֑וֹם

and chastened

וְ֝תוֹכַחְתִּ֗י

every morning

לַבְּקָרִֽים׃

 

אִם

If I say

אָ֭מַרְתִּי

I will speak

אֲסַפְּרָ֥ה

thus

כְמ֑וֹ

 

הִנֵּ֤ה

against the generation

ד֭וֹר

of thy children

בָּנֶ֣יךָ

behold I should offend

בָגָֽדְתִּי׃

When I thought

this it was too painful

I their end

לְאַחֲרִיתָֽם׃

them in slippery places

בַּ֭חֲלָקוֹת

Surely thou didst set

תָּשִׁ֣ית

 

לָ֑מוֹ

thou castedst them down

הִ֝פַּלְתָּ֗ם

into destruction

לְמַשּׁוּאֽוֹת׃

 

אֵ֤יךְ

 

הָי֣וּ

How are they brought into desolation

לְשַׁמָּ֣ה

as in a moment

כְרָ֑גַע

they are utterly

סָ֥פוּ

consumed

תַ֝֗מּוּ

 

מִן

with terrors

בַּלָּהֽוֹת׃

As a dream

כַּחֲל֥וֹם

when one awaketh

מֵהָקִ֑יץ

so O Lord

אֲ֝דֹנָ֗י

when thou awakest

בָּעִ֤יר׀

their image

צַלְמָ֬ם

thou shalt despise

תִּבְזֶֽה׃

 

כִּ֭י

was grieved

יִתְחַמֵּ֣ץ

Thus my heart

לְבָבִ֑י

in my reins

וְ֝כִלְיוֹתַ֗י

and I was pricked

אֶשְׁתּוֹנָֽן׃

 

וַאֲנִי

So foolish

בַ֭עַר

 

וְלֹ֣א

was I and ignorant

אֵדָ֑ע

I was as a beast

בְּ֝הֵמ֗וֹת

 

הָיִ֥יתִי

 

עִמָּֽךְ׃

 

וַאֲנִ֣י

Nevertheless I am continually

תָמִ֣יד

 

עִמָּ֑ךְ

with thee thou hast holden

אָ֝חַ֗זְתָּ

hand

בְּיַד

me by my right

יְמִינִֽי׃

me with thy counsel

בַּעֲצָתְךָ֥

Thou shalt guide

תַנְחֵ֑נִי

and afterward

וְ֝אַחַ֗ר

me to glory

כָּב֥וֹד

receive

תִּקָּחֵֽנִי׃

 

מִי

 

לִ֥י

Whom have I in heaven

בַשָּׁמָ֑יִם

 

וְ֝עִמְּךָ֗

 

לֹא

that I desire

חָפַ֥צְתִּי

but thee and there is none upon earth

בָאָֽרֶץ׃

My flesh

שְׁאֵרִ֗י

צוּר

הִנֵּ֣ה

For lo they that are far

רְחֵקֶ֣יךָ

from thee shall perish

יֹאבֵ֑דוּ

thou hast destroyed

הִ֝צְמַ֗תָּה

 

כָּל

all them that go a whoring

זוֹנֶ֥ה

 

מִמֶּֽךָּ׃

But

וַאֲנִ֤י׀

for me to draw near

קִֽרֲבַ֥ת

to God

אֱלֹהִ֗ים

 

לִ֫י

it is good

I have put

שַׁתִּ֤י׀

in the Lord

בַּאדֹנָ֣י

GOD

יְהוִֹ֣ה

my trust

מַחְסִ֑י

that I may declare

לְ֝סַפֵּ֗ר

 

כָּל

all thy works

מַלְאֲכוֹתֶֽיךָ׃
