And it was so when the king

הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ

Esther

אֶסְתֵּ֔ר

the golden

הַזָּהָב֙

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

that was in his hand

בְּיָד֔וֹ

drew near

וַתִּקְרַ֣ב

Esther

אֶסְתֵּ֔ר

and touched

וַתִּגַּ֖ע

the top

בְּרֹ֥אשׁ

of the sceptre

הַשַּׁרְבִֽיט׃

Then said

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר

 

לָהּ֙

the king

הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ

 

מַה

 

לָּ֖ךְ

Esther

אֶסְתֵּ֣ר

unto her What wilt thou queen

הַמַּלְכָּ֑ה

 

וּמַה

and what is thy request

בַּקָּֽשָׁתֵ֛ךְ

 

עַד

thee to the half

חֲצִ֥י

of the kingdom

הַמַּלְכ֖וּת

it shall be even given

וְיִנָּ֥תֵֽן

 

לָֽךְ׃

answered

וַתֹּ֣אמֶר

And Esther

If it seem good

וְהָמָן֙

that I have prepared

עָשִׂ֥יתִי

 

לֽוֹ׃

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר

So the king

to make haste

מַֽהֲרוּ֙

Cause Haman

וְהָמָ֔ן

had prepared

עָֽשְׂתָ֥ה

דְּבַ֣ר

as Esther

אֶסְתֵּֽר׃

וַיָּבֹ֤א

So the king

unto Esther

לְאֶסְתֵּר֙

at the banquet

בְּמִשְׁתֵּ֣ה

of wine

הַיַּ֔יִן

What is thy petition

שְּׁאֵֽלָתֵ֖ךְ

and it shall be granted

וְיִנָּ֣תֵֽן

 

לָ֑ךְ

 

וּמַה

thee and what is thy request

בַּקָּֽשָׁתֵ֛ךְ

 

עַד

even to the half

חֲצִ֥י

of the kingdom

הַמַּלְכ֖וּת

it shall be performed

וְתֵעָֽשׂ׃

Then answered

וַתַּ֥עַן

Esther

אֶסְתֵּ֖ר

and said

וַתֹּאמַ֑ר

My petition

שְׁאֵֽלָתִ֖י

and my request

וּבַקָּֽשָׁתִֽי׃

 

אִם

If I have found

מָצָ֨אתִי

favour

חֵ֜ן

in the sight

בְּעֵינֵ֣י

as the king

הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

 

וְאִם

 

עַל

as the king

הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

and if it please

ט֔וֹב

to grant

לָתֵת֙

 

אֶת

my petition

שְׁאֵ֣לָתִ֔י

and to perform

אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֖ה

 

אֶת

my request

בַּקָּֽשָׁתִ֑י

יָב֧וֹא

as the king

הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

and Haman

וְהָמָ֗ן

Zeresh

his wife

אִשְׁתּ֜וֹ

 

וְכָל

and all his friends

אֹֽהֲבָ֗יו

and he caused

וַיַּ֥עַשׂ

the gallows

הָעֵֽץ׃

high

גָּבֹ֣הַּ

of fifty

חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים

cubits

אַמָּה֒

and to morrow

וּבַבֹּ֣קֶר׀

Then said

אֱמֹ֣ר

thou unto the king

הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ

may be hanged

וְיִתְל֤וּ

 

אֶֽת

that Mordecai

מָרְדֳּכַי֙

 

עָלָ֔יו

thereon then go

וּבֹֽא

 

עִם

thou unto the king

unto the banquet

thou in merrily

וַיִּיטַ֧ב

And the thing

and he caused
