וְכֶ֖רֶם

of the wicked

רָשָׁ֣ע

and they gather

יְלַקֵּֽשׁוּ׃

They cause the naked

עָר֣וֹם

to lodge

יָ֭לִינוּ

 

מִבְּלִ֣י

without clothing

לְב֑וּשׁ

 

וְאֵ֥ין

that they have no covering

כְּ֝ס֗וּת

in the cold

בַּקָּרָֽה׃

with the showers

מִזֶּ֣רֶם

of the mountains

הָרִ֣ים

They are wet

יִרְטָ֑בוּ

 

וּֽמִבְּלִ֥י

for want of a shelter

מַ֝חְסֶ֗ה

and embrace

חִבְּקוּ

the rock

צֽוּר׃

They pluck

יִ֭גְזְלוּ

from the breast

מִשֹּׁ֣ד

the fatherless

יָת֑וֹם

 

וְֽעַל

of the poor

עָנִ֥י

and take a pledge

יַחְבֹּֽלוּ׃

naked

עָר֣וֹם

They cause him to go

הִ֭לְּכוּ

 

בְּלִ֣י

without clothing

לְב֑וּשׁ

from the hungry

וּ֝רְעֵבִ֗ים

and they take away

נָ֣שְׂאוּ

the sheaf

עֹֽמֶר׃

בֵּין

their walls

שׁוּרֹתָ֥ם

Which make oil

יַצְהִ֑ירוּ

their winepresses

יְקָבִ֥ים

and tread

דָּ֝רְכ֗וּ

and suffer thirst

וַיִּצְמָֽאוּ׃

from out of the city

מֵ֘עִ֤יר

Men

מְתִ֨ים׀

groan

יִנְאָ֗קוּ

and the soul

וְנֶֽפֶשׁ

of the wounded

חֲלָלִ֥ים

crieth out

תְּשַׁוֵּ֑עַ

yet God

וֶ֝אֱל֗וֹהַּ

 

לֹא

layeth

יָשִׂ֥ים

not folly

תִּפְלָֽה׃

 

הֵ֤מָּה׀

 

הָיוּ֮

They are of those that rebel

בְּֽמֹרְדֵ֫י

against the light

א֥וֹר

 

לֹֽא

they know

הִכִּ֥ירוּ

not the ways

דְרָכָ֑יו

 

וְלֹ֥א

thereof nor abide

יָ֝שְׁב֗וּ

in the paths

בִּנְתִיבֹתָֽיו׃

with the light

לָא֡וֹר

rising

יָ֘ק֤וּם

The murderer

רוֹצֵ֗חַ

killeth

יִֽקְטָל

the poor

עָנִ֥י

and needy

וְאֶבְי֑וֹן

and in the night

וּ֝בַלַּ֗יְלָה

 

יְהִ֣י

is as a thief

כַגַּנָּֽב׃

No eye

עָ֑יִן

also of the adulterer

נֹאֵ֨ף׀

waiteth

שָׁ֤מְרָֽה

for the twilight

נֶ֣שֶׁף

saying

לֵ֭אמֹר

 

לֹא

shall see

תְשׁוּרֵ֣נִי

No eye

עָ֑יִן

me and disguiseth

וְסֵ֖תֶר

his face

פָּנִ֣ים

 

יָשִֽׂים׃

they dig through

חָתַ֥ר

In the dark

בַּחֹ֗שֶׁךְ

houses

בָּ֫תִּ֥ים

for themselves in the daytime

יוֹמָ֥ם

which they had marked

חִתְּמוּ

 

לָ֗מוֹ

 

לֹא

they know

יָ֥דְעוּ

not the light

אֽוֹר׃

 

כִּ֤י

is to them even as

יַחְדָּ֨ו׀

For the morning

בֹּ֣קֶר

 

לָ֣מוֹ

of the shadow of death

צַלְמָֽוֶת׃

 

כִּֽי

if one know

יַ֝כִּ֗יר

them they are in the terrors

בַּלְה֥וֹת

of the shadow of death

צַלְמָֽוֶת׃

He is swift

קַֽל

 

ה֤וּא׀

 

עַל

as the waters

פְּנֵי

 

מַ֗יִם

is cursed

תְּקֻלַּ֣ל

their portion

חֶלְקָתָ֣ם

in the earth

בָּאָ֑רֶץ

 

לֹֽא

he beholdeth

יִ֝פְנֶה

not the way

דֶּ֣רֶךְ

of the vineyards

כְּרָמִֽים׃

Drought

צִיָּ֤ה

 

גַם

and heat

חֹ֗ם

consume

יִגְזְל֥וּ

waters

מֵֽימֵי

the snow

שֶׁ֗לֶג

so doth the grave

שְׁא֣וֹל

those which have sinned

חָטָֽאוּ׃

shall forget

יִשְׁכָּ֘חֵ֤הוּ

The womb

רֶ֨חֶם׀

shall feed sweetly

מְתָ֘ק֤וֹ

him the worm

רִמָּ֗ה

 

ע֥וֹד

 

לֹֽא

on him he shall be no more remembered

יִזָּכֵ֑ר

shall be broken

וַתִּשָּׁבֵ֖ר

as a tree

כָּעֵ֣ץ

and wickedness

עַוְלָֽה׃

He evil entreateth

רֹעֶ֣ה

the barren

עֲ֭קָרָה

 

לֹ֣א

that beareth

תֵלֵ֑ד

to the widow

וְ֝אַלְמָנָ֗ה

 

לֹ֣א

not and doeth not good

יְיֵטִֽיב׃

He draweth

וּמָשַׁ֣ךְ

also the mighty

אַבִּירִ֣ים

with his power

בְּכֹח֑וֹ

he riseth up

יָ֝ק֗וּם

 

וְֽלֹא

and no man is sure

יַאֲמִ֥ין

of life

בַּֽחַיִּֽין׃

Though it be given

יִתֶּן

him to be in safety

לָ֭בֶטַח

whereon he resteth

וְיִשָּׁעֵ֑ן

yet his eyes

וְ֝עֵינֵ֗יהוּ

are upon their ways

דַּרְכֵיהֶֽם׃

They are exalted

ר֤וֹמּוּ

for a little while

יִקָּפְצ֑וּן

וּכְרֹ֖אשׁ

And if it be not so now

אֵ֭פוֹ

 

מִ֣י

me a liar

יַכְזִיבֵ֑נִי

and make

וְיָשֵׂ֥ם

nothing worth

לְ֝אַ֗ל

my speech

מִלָּתִֽי׃
