Hear

וְאָנֹכִ֣י

I beseech thee and I will speak

אֲדַבֵּ֑ר

I will demand

אֶ֝שְׁאָלְךָ֗

of thee and declare

וְהוֹדִיעֵֽנִי׃

I have heard

לְשֵֽׁמַע

of the ear

אֹ֥זֶן

of thee by the hearing

שְׁמַעְתִּ֑יךָ

 

וְ֝עַתָּ֗ה

but now mine eye

עֵינִ֥י

seeth

רָאָֽתְךָ׃

 

עַל

 

כֵּ֭ן

Wherefore I abhor

אֶמְאַ֣ס

myself and repent

וְנִחַ֑מְתִּי

 

עַל

in dust

עָפָ֥ר

and ashes

וָאֵֽפֶר׃

 

וַיְהִ֗י

And it was so that after

My wrath

against thee and against thy two

friends

רֵעֶ֔יךָ

for ye have not spoken

דִבַּרְתֶּ֥ם

 

אֵלַ֛י

of me the thing that is right

נְכוֹנָ֖ה

as my servant

Therefore take

קְחֽוּ

 

לָכֶ֣ם

and seven

וְשִׁבְעָ֨ה

bullocks

פָרִים֩

and seven

rams

אֵילִ֜ים

 

וּלְכ֣וּ׀

 

אֶל

and my servant

כְּעַבְדִּ֥י

Job

אִיּֽוֹב׃

and offer up

וְהַעֲלִיתֶ֤ם

for yourselves a burnt offering

עוֹלָה֙

 

בַּֽעַדְכֶ֔ם

and my servant

shall pray

יִתְפַּלֵּ֖ל
