of their hand

יָדָֽם׃

And they covet

וְחָמְד֤וּ

fields

שָׂדוֹת֙

and take them by violence

וְגָזָ֔לוּ

and his house

וּבֵית֔וֹ

and take them away

וְנָשָׂ֑אוּ

so they oppress

וְעָֽשְׁקוּ֙

a man

גֶּ֣בֶר

and his house

וּבֵית֔וֹ

even a man

וְאִ֖ישׁ

and his heritage

וְנַחֲלָתֽוֹ׃

 

לָכֵ֗ן

 

כֹּ֚ה

Therefore thus saith

אָמַ֣ר

the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

 

הִנְנִ֥י

do I devise

חֹשֵׁ֛ב

 

עַל

Behold against this family

הַמִּשְׁפָּחָ֥ה

 

הַזֹּ֖את

an evil

רָעָ֖ה

 

אֲ֠שֶׁר

 

לֹֽא

from which ye shall not remove

תָמִ֨ישׁוּ

 

מִשָּׁ֜ם

your necks

צַוְּארֹֽתֵיכֶ֗ם

 

וְלֹ֤א

 

תֵֽלְכוּ֙

haughtily

רוֹמָ֔ה

 

כִּ֛י

for this time

עֵ֥ת

an evil

רָעָ֖ה

 

הִֽיא׃

In that day

בַּיּ֨וֹם

 

הַה֜וּא

shall one take up

יִשָּׂ֧א

 

עֲלֵיכֶ֣ם

a parable

מָשָׁ֗ל

against you and lament

וְנָהָ֨ה

lamentation

נְהִ֤י

with a doleful

נִֽהְיָה֙

and say

אָמַר֙

We be utterly

נְשַׁדֻּ֔נוּ

We be utterly

נְשַׁדֻּ֔נוּ

the portion

חֵ֥לֶק

of my people

עַמִּ֖י

he hath changed

יָמִ֑יר

 

אֵ֚יךְ

how hath he removed

יָמִ֣ישׁ

 

לִ֔י

 

לְשׁוֹבֵ֥ב

our fields

שָׂדֵ֖ינוּ

he hath divided

יְחַלֵּֽק׃

 

לָכֵן֙

 

לֹֽא

 

יִֽהְיֶ֣ה

 

לְךָ֔

Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast

מַשְׁלִ֥יךְ

a cord

חֶ֖בֶל

by lot

בְּגוֹרָ֑ל

in the congregation

בִּקְהַ֖ל

of the LORD

straitened

הֲקָצַר֙

is the spirit

ר֣וּחַ

of the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

 

אִם

 

אֵ֖לֶּה

are these his doings

מַעֲלָלָ֑יו

 

הֲל֤וֹא

do not my words

דְבָרַ֨י

do good

יֵיטִ֔יבוּ

 

עִ֖ם

uprightly

הַיָּשָׁ֥ר

to him that walketh

הוֹלֵֽךְ׃

Even of late

וְאֶתְמ֗וּל

my people

עַמִּי֙

as an enemy

לְאוֹיֵ֣ב

is risen up

יְקוֹמֵ֔ם

with

מִמּ֣וּל

the garment

שַׂלְמָ֔ה

the robe

אֶ֖דֶר

ye pull off

תַּפְשִׁט֑וּן

from them that pass

מֵעֹבְרִ֣ים

by securely

בֶּ֔טַח

as men averse

שׁוּבֵ֖י

from war

מִלְחָמָֽה׃

The women

נְשֵׁ֤י

of my people

עַמִּי֙

have ye cast out

תְּגָ֣רְשׁ֔וּן

houses

מִבֵּ֖ית

from their pleasant

תַּֽעֲנֻגֶ֑יהָ

 

מֵעַל֙

from their children

עֹֽלָלֶ֔יהָ

have ye taken away

תִּקְח֥וּ

my glory

הֲדָרִ֖י

for ever

לְעוֹלָֽם׃

Arise

ק֣וּמוּ

 

וּלְכ֔וּ

 

כִּ֥י

 

לֹא

 

זֹ֖את

for this is not your rest

הַמְּנוּחָ֑ה

 

בַּעֲב֥וּר

because it is polluted

טָמְאָ֛ה

it shall destroy

תְּחַבֵּ֖ל

destruction

וְחֶ֥בֶל

you even with a sore

נִמְרָֽץ׃

לוּ

a man

אִ֞ישׁ

walking

הֹלֵ֥ךְ

in the spirit

ר֙וּחַ֙

and falsehood

וָשֶׁ֣קֶר

do lie

כִּזֵּ֔ב

he shall even be the prophet

מַטִּ֖יף

 

לְךָ֔

unto thee of wine

לַיַּ֖יִן

and of strong drink

וְלַשֵּׁכָ֑ר

 

וְהָיָ֥ה

he shall even be the prophet

מַטִּ֖יף

of this people

הָעָ֥ם

 

הַזֶּֽה׃

I will surely

אֶאֱסֹ֜ף

O Jacob

יַעֲקֹ֣ב

 

כֻּלָּ֗ךְ

all of thee I will surely

אֲקַבֵּץ֙

all of thee I will surely

אֲקַבֵּץ֙

the remnant

שְׁאֵרִ֣ית

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

them together

יַ֥חַד

I will put

אֲשִׂימֶ֖נּוּ

as the sheep

כְּצֹ֣אן

of Bozrah

בָּצְרָ֑ה

as the flock

כְּעֵ֙דֶר֙

in the midst

בְּת֣וֹךְ

of their fold

הַדָּֽבְר֔וֹ

they shall make great noise

תְּהִימֶ֖נָה

by reason of the multitude of men

מֵאָדָֽם׃

עָלָ֤ה
