Then Hezekiah

חִזְקִיָּ֛הוּ

הַקִּ֑יר

and prayed

וַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֖ל

 

אֶל

unto the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

And said

וַיֹּאמַ֗ר

I beseech

אָנָּ֤ה

now O LORD

יְהוָה֙

Remember

זְכָר

 

נָ֞א

 

אֵ֣ת

 

אֲשֶׁ֧ר

thee how I have walked

הִתְהַלַּ֣כְתִּי

before

לְפָנֶ֗יךָ

thee in truth

בֶּֽאֱמֶת֙

heart

וּבְלֵ֣ב

and with a perfect

שָׁלֵ֔ם

that which is good

וְהַטּ֥וֹב

in thy sight

בְּעֵינֶ֖יךָ

and have done

עָשִׂ֑יתִי

wept

וַיֵּ֥בְךְּ

And Hezekiah

חִזְקִיָּ֖הוּ

 

בְּכִ֥י

sore

גָדֽוֹל׃

 

וַֽיְהִי֙

Then came the word

דְּבַר

of the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

 

אֶֽל

to Isaiah

יְשַׁעְיָ֖הוּ

saying

לֵאמֹֽר׃

Go

הָל֞וֹךְ

Thus saith

אָמַ֤ר

 

אֶל

to Hezekiah

חִזְקִיָּ֗הוּ

 

כֹּֽה

Thus saith

אָמַ֤ר

the LORD

יְהוָה֙

the God

אֱלֹהֵי֙

of David

דָּוִ֣ד

thy father

אָבִ֔יךָ

I have heard

שָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙

 

אֶת

thy prayer

תְּפִלָּתֶ֔ךָ

I have seen

רָאִ֖יתִי

 

אֶת

thy tears

דִּמְעָתֶ֑ךָ

 

הִנְנִי֙

behold I will add

יוֹסִ֣ף

 

עַל

unto thy days

יָמֶ֔יךָ

fifteen

חֲמֵ֥שׁ

 

עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה

years

שָׁנָֽה׃

out of the hand

וּמִכַּ֤ף

of the king

מֶֽלֶךְ

of Assyria

אַשּׁוּר֙

And I will deliver

אַצִּ֣ילְךָ֔

 

וְאֵ֖ת

thee and this city

הָעִ֥יר

 

הַזֹּ֑את

and I will defend

וְגַנּוֹתִ֖י

 

עַל

thee and this city

הָעִ֥יר

 

הַזֹּֽאת׃

 

וְזֶה

 

לְּךָ֥

And this shall be a sign

הָא֖וֹת

 

מֵאֵ֣ת

that the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

 

אֲשֶׁר֙

will do

יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה

that the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

 

אֶת

this thing

הַדָּבָ֥ר

 

הַזֶּ֖ה

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

that he hath spoken

דִּבֵּֽר׃

 

הִנְנִ֣י

Behold I will bring again

וַתָּ֤שָׁב

 

אֶת

the shadow

צֵ֣ל

by which degrees

בַּֽמַּעֲל֖וֹת

אֵלֵ֖כָה

to the gates

בְּשַׁעֲרֵ֣י

of the grave

שְׁא֑וֹל

I am deprived

פֻּקַּ֖דְתִּי

of the residue

יֶ֥תֶר

of my years

שְׁנוֹתָֽי׃

I said

אָמַ֙רְתִּי֙

 

לֹא

I shall not see

אֶרְאֶ֣ה

even the LORD

יָ֖הּ

even the LORD

יָ֖הּ

in the land

בְּאֶ֣רֶץ

of the living

הַחַיִּ֑ים

 

לֹא

I shall behold

אַבִּ֥יט

man

אָדָ֛ם

 

ע֖וֹד

 

עִם

no more with the inhabitants

י֥וֹשְׁבֵי

of the world

חָֽדֶל׃

Mine age

דּוֹרִ֗י

is departed

נִסַּ֧ע

and is removed

וְנִגְלָ֛ה

 

מִנִּ֖י

tent

כְּאֹ֣הֶל

from me as a shepherd's

רֹעִ֑י

I have cut off

קִפַּ֨דְתִּי

like a weaver

כָאֹרֵ֤ג

my life

חַיַּי֙

with pining sickness

מִדַּלָּ֣ה

he will cut me off

יְבַצְּעֵ֔נִי

from day

מִיּ֥וֹם

 

עַד

even to night

לַ֖יְלָה

wilt thou make an end

תַּשְׁלִימֵֽנִי׃

I reckoned

שִׁוִּ֤יתִי

 

עַד

till morning

בֹּ֙קֶר֙

that as a lion

כָּֽאֲרִ֔י

 

כֵּ֥ן

so will he break

יְשַׁבֵּ֖ר

 

כָּל

all my bones

עַצְמוֹתָ֑י

from day

מִיּ֥וֹם

 

עַד

even to night

לַ֖יְלָה

wilt thou make an end

תַּשְׁלִימֵֽנִי׃

Like a crane

כְּס֤וּס

or a swallow

עָגוּר֙

 

כֵּ֣ן

so did I chatter

אֲצַפְצֵ֔ף

I did mourn

אֶהְגֶּ֖ה

as a dove

כַּיּוֹנָ֑ה

fail

דַּלּ֤וּ

mine eyes

עֵינַי֙

with looking upward

לַמָּר֔וֹם

 

אֲדֹנָ֖י

I am oppressed

עָֽשְׁקָה

 

לִּ֥י

undertake

עָרְבֵֽנִי׃

What shall I say

אֲדַבֵּ֥ר

he hath both spoken

וְאָֽמַר

 

לִ֖י

 

וְה֣וּא

unto me and himself hath done

עָשָׂ֑ה

it I shall go softly

אֶדַּדֶּ֥ה

 

כָל

all my years

שְׁנוֹתַ֖י

 

עַל

in the bitterness

O Lord

אֲדֹנָ֖י

by these things men live

וְהַחֲיֵֽנִי׃

and in all these things is the life

of my spirit

so wilt thou recover

וְתַחֲלִימֵ֖נִי

Behold for peace

לְשָׁל֖וֹם

I had great bitterness

thee they that go down

יֽוֹרְדֵי

me therefore we will sing my songs

וּנְגִנוֹתַ֧י

to the stringed instruments

נְנַגֵּ֛ן

all the days

יְמֵ֥י

of our life

חַיֵּ֖ינוּ

in the house

בֵּ֥ית

The LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר

For Isaiah

יְשַׁעְיָ֔הוּ

Let them take

יִשְׂא֖וּ

a lump

דְּבֶ֣לֶת

of figs

תְּאֵנִ֑ים

and lay it for a plaister

וְיִמְרְח֥וּ

 

עַֽל

upon the boil

הַשְּׁחִ֖ין

and he shall recover

וְיֶֽחִי׃

also had said

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר

Hezekiah

חִזְקִיָּ֖הוּ

 

מָ֣ה

What is the sign

א֑וֹת

 

כִּ֥י

that I shall go up

אֶעֱלֶ֖ה

to the house

בֵּ֥ית

of the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃
