הֵ֣מָּה

them dismayed

חַתִּים֮

and turned

נְסֹגִ֣ים

away back

אָחוֹר֒

and their mighty ones

וְגִבּוֹרֵיהֶ֣ם

are beaten down

יֻכַּ֔תּוּ

apace

וּמָנ֥וֹס

and are fled

נָ֖סוּ

 

וְלֹ֣א

and look not back

הִפְנ֑וּ

for fear

מָג֥וֹר

was round about

מִסָּבִ֖יב

וְיֵצְא֖וּ

and let the mighty men

הַגִּבּוֹרִ֑ים

the Ethiopians

כּ֤וּשׁ

and the Libyans

וּפוּט֙

that handle

תֹּפְשֵׂ֖י

the shield

מָגֵ֔ן

and the Lydians

וְלוּדִ֕ים

that handle

תֹּפְשֵׂ֖י

and bend

דֹּ֥רְכֵי

the bow

קָֽשֶׁת׃

For this is the day

י֤וֹם

 

הַה֜וּא

for the Lord

לַאדֹנָ֨י

GOD

יְהוִ֧ה

For this is the day

of vengeance

נְקָמָה֙

that he may avenge

לְהִנָּקֵ֣ם

him of his adversaries

מִצָּרָ֔יו

shall devour

וְאָכְלָ֥ה

and the sword

חֶ֙רֶב֙

and it shall be satiate

וְשָׂ֣בְעָ֔ה

and made drunk

וְרָוְתָ֖ה

with their blood

מִדָּמָ֑ם

hath a sacrifice

for the Lord

and as Carmel

וּכְכַרְמֶ֖ל

by the sea

בַּיָּ֥ם

so shall he come

יָבֽוֹא׃

thyself to go into captivity

כְּלֵ֤י

עֲשִׂ֣י

 

לָ֔ךְ

dwelling

יוֹשֵֽׁב׃

O thou daughter

שְׂכִרֶ֤יהָ

הֵ֧מָּה

for they also are turned back

הִפְנ֛וּ

against her with axes

וּבְקַרְדֻּמּוֹת֙

כְּחֹטְבֵ֖י

עֵצִֽים׃

They shall cut down

כָּרְת֤וּ

her forest

יַעְרָהּ֙

But fear

תִּירָ֞א

not thou O my servant

עַבְדִּ֤י

Jacob

יַעֲק֛וֹב

 

וְאַל

and be not dismayed

תֵּחַ֣ת

O Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

 

כִּ֠י

 

הִנְנִ֤י

for behold I will save

מוֹשִֽׁעֲךָ֙

thee from afar off

מֵֽרָח֔וֹק

 

וְאֶֽת

and thy seed

זַרְעֲךָ֖

from the land

מֵאֶ֣רֶץ

of their captivity

שִׁבְיָ֑ם

וְשָׁ֧ב

and be in rest
