and juniper

רְתָמִ֣ים

for their meat

Among the bushes

they brayed

they were gathered together

יְסֻפָּֽחוּ׃

They were children

of fools

yea I am their byword

me they flee far

in my face

חָ֥שְׂכוּ

my cord

יִתְרִ֣ו

וַיְעַנֵּ֑נִי

עַל

Upon my right

יָמִין֮

the youth

פִּרְחַ֪ח

hand rise

יָ֫ק֥וּמוּ

רַגְלַ֥י

they push away

and they raise up

וַיָּסֹ֥לּוּ

 

עָ֝לַ֗י

against me the ways

אָרְח֥וֹת

of their destruction

נָתְס֗וּ

my path

my calamity

לְהַוָּתִֽי

they set forward

they have no helper

breaking

כְּפֶ֣רֶץ

upon me as a wide

רָחָ֣ב

They came

יֶאֱתָ֑יוּ

the desolation

they rolled

הִתְגַּלְגָּֽלוּ׃

are turned

הָהְפַּ֥ךְ

 

עָלַ֗י

Terrors

בַּלָּ֫ה֥וֹת

upon me they pursue

תִּרְדֹּ֣ף

as the wind

כָּ֭רוּחַ

my soul

נְדִבָתִ֑י

as a cloud

וּ֝כְעָ֗ב

passeth away

עָבְרָ֥ה

and my welfare

יְשֻׁעָתִֽי׃

 

וְעַתָּ֗ה

 

עָ֭לַי

is poured out

תִּשְׁתַּפֵּ֣ךְ

And now my soul

נַפְשִׁ֑י

have taken hold

יֹ֖אחֲז֣וּנִי

upon me the days

יְמֵי

of affliction

עֹֽנִי׃

in me in the night season

לַ֗יְלָה

My bones

עֲ֭צָמַי

are pierced

נִקַּ֣ר

 

מֵעָלָ֑י

and my sinews

וְ֝עֹרְקַ֗י

 

לֹ֣א

take no rest

יִשְׁכָּבֽוּן׃

By the great

בְּרָב

force

כֹּ֭חַ

changed

יִתְחַפֵּ֣שׂ

of my disease is my garment

לְבוּשִׁ֑י

as the collar

כְּפִ֖י

of my coat

כֻתָּנְתִּ֣י

it bindeth me about

יַֽאַזְרֵֽנִי׃

He hath cast

הֹרָ֥נִי

me into the mire

לַחֹ֑מֶר

and I am become like

וָ֝אֶתְמַשֵּׁ֗ל

dust

כֶּעָפָ֥ר

and ashes

וָאֵֽפֶר׃

I cry

אֲשַׁוַּ֣ע

 

אֵ֭לֶיךָ

 

וְלֹ֣א

unto thee and thou dost not hear

תַעֲנֵ֑נִי

me I stand up

עָ֝מַ֗דְתִּי

and thou regardest

וַתִּתְבֹּ֥נֶן

 

בִּֽי׃

Thou art become

תֵּהָפֵ֣ךְ

cruel

לְאַכְזָ֣ר

 

לִ֑י

to me with thy strong

בְּעֹ֖צֶם

hand

יָדְךָ֣

thou opposest

תִשְׂטְמֵֽנִי׃

Thou liftest me up

תִּשָּׂאֵ֣נִי

 

אֶל

to the wind

ר֭וּחַ

thou causest me to ride

תַּרְכִּיבֵ֑נִי

upon it and dissolvest

וּ֝תְמֹגְגֵ֗נִי

my substance

תֻּשִׁוָּֽה׃

For I know

me to death

מָ֣וֶת

that thou wilt bring

of affliction

mourning

קֹדֵ֣ר

I went

הִ֭לַּכְתִּי

 

בְּלֹ֣א

without the sun

חַמָּ֑ה

I stood up

קַ֖מְתִּי

in the congregation

בַקָּהָ֣ל

and I cried

אֲשַׁוֵּֽעַ׃

I am a brother

אָ֭ח

 

הָיִ֣יתִי

to dragons

לְתַנִּ֑ים

and a companion

וְ֝רֵ֗עַ

to owls

לִבְנ֥וֹת

 

יַעֲנָֽה׃

My skin

ע֭וֹרִי

is black

שָׁחַ֣ר

 

מֵעָלָ֑י

upon me and my bones

וְעַצְמִי

are burned

חָ֝֗רָה

 

מִנִּי

with heat

חֹֽרֶב׃

 

וַיְהִ֣י

also is turned to mourning

לְ֭אֵבֶל

My harp

כִּנֹּרִ֑י

and my organ

וְ֝עֻגָבִ֗י

into the voice

לְק֣וֹל

of them that weep

בֹּכִֽים׃
