הֲיֵ֣שׁ

any that will answer

עוֹנֶ֑ךָּ

 

וְאֶל

 

מִ֖י

thee and to which of the saints

מִקְּדֹשִׁ֣ים

wilt thou turn

תִּפְנֶֽה׃

 

כִּֽי

the foolish man

לֶ֭אֱוִיל

killeth

יַֽהֲרָג

For wrath

כָּ֑עַשׂ

the silly one

וּ֝פֹתֶ֗ה

slayeth

תָּמִ֥ית

and envy

קִנְאָֽה׃

 

אֲֽנִי

I have seen

רָ֭אִיתִי

the foolish

אֱוִ֣יל

taking root

מַשְׁרִ֑ישׁ

I cursed

וָֽאֶקּ֖וֹב

his habitation

נָוֵ֣הוּ

but suddenly

פִתְאֹֽם׃

are far

יִרְחֲק֣וּ

His children

בָנָ֣יו

from safety

מִיֶּ֑שַׁע

and they are crushed

וְיִֽדַּכְּא֥וּ

in the gate

בַ֝שַּׁ֗עַר

 

וְאֵ֣ין

neither is there any to deliver

מַצִּֽיל׃

 

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

Whose harvest

קְצִיר֨וֹ׀

the hungry

רָ֘עֵ֤ב

eateth up

יֹאכֵ֗ל

it even out

וְאֶֽל

of the thorns

מִצִּנִּ֥ים

and taketh

יִקָּחֵ֑הוּ

swalloweth up

וְשָׁאַ֖ף

and the robber

צַמִּ֣ים

their substance

חֵילָֽם׃

 

כִּ֤י׀

 

לֹֽא

cometh not forth

יֵצֵ֣א

of the dust

מֵֽעָפָ֣ר

Although affliction

אָ֑וֶן

of the ground

וּ֝מֵֽאֲדָמָ֗ה

 

לֹֽא

spring out

יִצְמַ֥ח

neither doth trouble

עָמָֽל׃

 

כִּֽי

Yet man

אָ֭דָם

unto trouble

לְעָמָ֣ל

is born

יוּלָּ֑ד

וּבְנֵי

the sparks

רֶ֝֗שֶׁף

upward

יַגְבִּ֥יהוּ

fly

עֽוּף׃

I would seek

אוּלָ֗ם

 

אֲ֭נִי

 

אֶדְרֹ֣שׁ

 

אֶל

unto God

אֵ֑ל

 

וְאֶל

and unto God

אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים

would I commit

אָשִׂ֥ים

my cause

דִּבְרָתִֽי׃

Which doeth

עֹשֶׂ֣ה

great things

גְ֭דֹלוֹת

and unsearchable

אֵ֥ין

 

חֵ֑קֶר

marvellous things

נִ֝פְלָא֗וֹת

 

עַד

and unsearchable

מִסְפָּֽר׃

Who giveth

הַנֹּתֵ֣ן

rain

מָ֭טָר

 

עַל

upon

פְּנֵ֥י

the earth

אָ֑רֶץ

and sendeth

וְשֹׁ֥לֵֽחַ

waters

מַ֝יִם

 

עַל

פְּנֵ֥י

the fields

חוּצֽוֹת׃

To set up

לָשׂ֣וּם

those that be low

שְׁפָלִ֣ים

on high

לְמָר֑וֹם

that those which mourn

וְ֝קֹֽדְרִ֗ים

may be exalted

שָׂ֣גְבוּ

to safety

יֶֽשַׁע׃

He disappointeth

מֵ֭פֵר

the devices

מַחְשְׁב֣וֹת

of the crafty

עֲרוּמִ֑ים

 

וְֽלֹא

cannot perform

תַעֲשֶׂ֥ינָה

so that their hands

יְ֝דֵיהֶ֗ם

their enterprise

תּוּשִׁיָּֽה׃

He taketh

לֹכֵ֣ד

the wise

חֲכָמִ֣ים

in their own craftiness

בְּעָרְמָ֑ם

and the counsel

וַֽעֲצַ֖ת

of the froward

נִפְתָּלִ֣ים

is carried headlong

נִמְהָֽרָה׃

in the daytime

יוֹמָ֥ם

They meet

יְפַגְּשׁוּ

with darkness

חֹ֑שֶׁךְ

as in the night

וְ֝כַלַּ֗יְלָה

and grope

יְֽמַשְׁשׁ֥וּ

in the noonday

בַֽצָּהֳרָֽיִם׃

But he saveth

וַיֹּ֣שַׁע

from the sword

מֵ֭חֶרֶב

from their mouth

מִפִּיהֶ֑ם

and from the hand

וּמִיַּ֖ד

of the mighty

חָזָ֣ק

the poor

אֶבְיֽוֹן׃

 

וַתְּהִ֣י

So the poor

לַדַּ֣ל

hath hope

תִּקְוָ֑ה

and iniquity

וְ֝עֹלָ֗תָה

stoppeth

קָ֣פְצָה

her mouth

פִּֽיהָ׃

 

הִנֵּ֤ה

Behold happy

אַשְׁרֵ֣י

is the man

אֱ֭נוֹשׁ

correcteth

יֽוֹכִחֶ֣נּוּ

whom God

אֱל֑וֹהַּ

not thou the chastening

וּמוּסַ֥ר

of the Almighty

שַׁ֝דַּ֗י

 

אַל

therefore despise

תִּמְאָֽס׃

 

כִּ֤י

 

ה֣וּא

For he maketh sore

יַכְאִ֣יב

and bindeth up

וְיֶחְבָּ֑שׁ

he woundeth

יִ֝מְחַ֗ץ

and his hands

וְיָדָ֥ו

make whole

תִּרְפֶּֽינָה׃

thee in six

בְּשֵׁ֣שׁ

troubles

צָ֭רוֹת

He shall deliver

יַצִּילֶ֑ךָּ

yea in seven

וּבְשֶׁ֓בַע׀

 

לֹֽא

touch

יִגַּ֖ע

 

בְּךָ֣

there shall no evil

רָֽע׃

In famine

בְּֽ֭רָעָב

he shall redeem

פָּֽדְךָ֣

thee from death

מִמָּ֑וֶת

and in war

וּ֝בְמִלְחָמָ֗ה

from the power

מִ֣ידֵי

of the sword

חָֽרֶב׃

from the scourge

בְּשׁ֣וֹט

of the tongue

לָ֭שׁוֹן

Thou shalt be hid

תֵּֽחָבֵ֑א

 

וְֽלֹא

neither shalt thou be afraid

תִירָ֥א

of destruction

מִ֝שֹּׁ֗ד

 

כִּ֣י

when it cometh

יָבֽוֹא׃

At destruction

לְשֹׁ֣ד

and famine

וּלְכָפָ֣ן

thou shalt laugh

תִּשְׂחָ֑ק

of the beasts

וּֽמֵחַיַּ֥ת

of the earth

הָ֝אָ֗רֶץ

 

אַל

neither shalt thou be afraid

תִּירָֽא׃

 

כִּ֤י

 

עִם

with the stones

אַבְנֵ֣י

of the field

הַ֝שָּׂדֶ֗ה

For thou shalt be in league

בְרִיתֶ֑ךָ

and the beasts

וְחַיַּ֥ת

of the field

הַ֝שָּׂדֶ֗ה

shall be at peace

הָשְׁלְמָה

 

לָֽךְ׃

And thou shalt know

וְֽ֭יָדַעְתָּ

 

כִּֽי

shall be in peace

שָׁל֣וֹם

that thy tabernacle

אָֽהֳלֶ֑ךָ

and thou shalt visit

וּֽפָקַדְתָּ֥

thy habitation

נָֽ֝וְךָ֗

 

וְלֹ֣א

and shalt not sin

תֶֽחֱטָֽא׃

Thou shalt know

וְֽ֭יָדַעְתָּ

 

כִּֽי

shall be great

רַ֣ב

also that thy seed

זַרְעֶ֑ךָ

and thine offspring

וְ֝צֶֽאֱצָאֶ֗יךָ

as the grass

כְּעֵ֣שֶׂב

of the earth

הָאָֽרֶץ׃

Thou shalt come

תָּב֣וֹא

in a full age

בְכֶ֣לַח

 

אֱלֵי

to thy grave

קָ֑בֶר

cometh in

כַּֽעֲל֖וֹת

like as a shock of corn

גָּדִ֣ישׁ

in his season

בְּעִתּֽוֹ׃

 

הִנֵּה

 

זֹ֭את

Lo this we have searched

חֲקַרְנ֥וּהָ

 

כֶּֽן

 

הִ֑יא

it so it is hear

שְׁ֝מָעֶ֗נָּה

 

וְאַתָּ֥ה
