and these our garments

שַׂלְמוֹתֵ֙ינוּ֙

and our shoes

וּנְעָלֵ֔ינוּ

בָּל֕וּ

הַדֶּ֖רֶךְ

עָלֵ֙ינוּ֙

lest wrath

קֶ֔צֶף

 

עַל

be upon us because of the oath

הַשְּׁבוּעָ֖ה

 

אֲשֶׁר

which we sware

לָהֶֽם׃

said

וַיֹּֽאמְר֧וּ

 

אֲלֵיהֶ֛ם

And the princes

הַנְּשִׂיאִֽים׃

unto them Let them live

יִֽחְי֑וּ

 

וַ֠יִּֽהְיוּ

but let them be hewers

חֹֽטְבֵ֨י

of wood

עֵצִ֤ים

and drawers

וְשֹֽׁאֲבֵי

for them and he spake

וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר

 

אֲלֵיהֶ֖ם

unto them saying

לֵאמֹ֗ר

 

לָמָּה֩

Wherefore have ye beguiled

רִמִּיתֶ֨ם

 

אֹתָ֜נוּ

unto them saying

לֵאמֹ֗ר

רְחוֹקִ֨ים

 

אֲנַ֤חְנוּ

 

מִכֶּם֙

We are very

מְאֹ֔ד

 

וְאַתֶּ֖ם

among

בְּקִרְבֵּ֥נוּ

from you when ye dwell

יֹֽשְׁבִֽים׃

 

וְעַתָּ֖ה

Now therefore ye are cursed

אֲרוּרִ֣ים

 

אַתֶּ֑ם

 

וְלֹֽא

and there shall none of you be freed

יִכָּרֵ֨ת

 

מִכֶּ֜ם

from being bondmen

עֶ֗בֶד

and hewers

וְחֹֽטְבֵ֥י

of wood

עֵצִ֛ים

and drawers

וְשֹֽׁאֲבֵי

of water

מַ֖יִם

for the house
