סְבִיבֹ֣תֵיהֶ֔ם

and ye shall give

תִּתְּנ֖וּ

also unto the Levites

לַלְוִיִּֽם׃

 

וְהָי֧וּ

And the cities

הֶֽעָרִ֛ים

 

לָהֶ֖ם

shall they have to dwell in

לָשָׁ֑בֶת

and the suburbs

וּמִגְרְשֵׁיהֶ֗ם

 

יִֽהְי֤וּ

of them shall be for their cattle

לִבְהֶמְתָּם֙

and for their goods

וְלִרְכֻשָׁ֔ם

 

וּלְכֹ֖ל

and for all their beasts

חַיָּתָֽם׃

And the suburbs

וּמִגְרְשֵׁי֙

of the cities

הָעִיר֙

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

which ye shall give

תִּתְּנ֖וּ

unto the Levites

לַלְוִיִּ֑ם

shall reach from the wall

מִקִּ֤יר

of the cities

הָעִיר֙

וָח֔וּצָה

כְּפִ֤י

to his inheritance

נַֽחֲלָתוֹ֙

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

which he inheriteth

יִנְחָ֔לוּ

shall give

יִתֵּ֥ן

And the cities

מֵֽעָרָ֖יו

unto the Levites

לַלְוִיִּֽם׃

spake

וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר

לֵּאמֹֽר׃

Speak

דַּבֵּר֙

 

אֶל

unto the children

בְּנֵ֣י

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

and say

וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֖

 

אֲלֵהֶ֑ם

 

כִּ֥י

 

אַתֶּ֛ם

unto them When ye be come over

עֹֽבְרִ֥ים

 

אֶת

Jordan

הַיַּרְדֵּ֖ן

into the land

אַ֥רְצָה

of Canaan

כְּנָֽעַן׃

Then ye shall appoint

וְהִקְרִיתֶ֤ם

 

לָכֶם֙

to be cities

עָרֵ֥י

to be cities

עָרֵ֥י

of refuge

מִקְלָ֖ט

 

תִּֽהְיֶ֣ינָה

 

לָכֶ֑ם

may flee

וְנָ֥ס

 

שָׁ֙מָּה֙

for you that the slayer

רֹצֵ֔חַ

מַכֵּה

נֶ֖פֶשׁ

at unawares

בִּשְׁגָגָֽה׃

And they shall be unto you cities

הֶֽעָרִ֛ים

for refuge

לְמִקְלָ֖ט

from the avenger

מִגֹּאֵ֑ל

 

וְלֹ֤א

יָמוּת֙

הָֽרֹצֵ֔חַ

 

עַד

not until he stand

עָמְד֛וֹ

הָֽעֵדָ֖ה

shall be a refuge

לְמִקְלָ֑ט

כָּל

them that every one that killeth

מַכֵּה

any person

נֶ֖פֶשׁ

unawares

בִּשְׁגָגָֽה׃

 

וְאִם

him with an instrument

בִּכְלִ֨י

בַרְזֶ֧ל׀

And if he smite

הִכָּ֛הוּ

be put to death

יוּמַ֖ת

he is a murderer

הָֽרֹצֵֽחַ׃

according to these judgments

הַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֖ים

 

הָאֵֽלֶּה׃

shall deliver

וְהִצִּ֨ילוּ

And the congregation

הָֽעֵדָ֔ה

הָֽרֹצֵ֗חַ

out of the hand

מִיַּד֮

of the revenger

גֹּאֵ֣ל

הַדָּם֒

shall restore

וְהֵשִׁ֤יבוּ

And the congregation

הָֽעֵדָ֔ה

 

אֶל

him to the city

עִ֥יר

of his refuge

אֲשֶׁר

whither he was fled

So these things shall be for a statute

לְחֻקַּ֥ת

of judgment

מִשְׁפָּ֖ט

unto you throughout your generations

לְדֹרֹֽתֵיכֶ֑ם

 

בְּכֹ֖ל

in all your dwellings

מוֹשְׁבֹֽתֵיכֶֽם׃

 

כָּל

Whoso killeth

מַ֨כֵּה

against any person

בְנֶ֖פֶשׁ

by the mouth

לְפִ֣י

of witnesses

וְעֵ֣ד

shall be put to death

הָֽרֹצֵ֑חַ

 

אֶת

but one

יַעֲנֶ֥ה

Moreover ye shall take

תִקְח֥וּ

for the life

לְנֶ֣פֶשׁ

of a murderer

רֹצֵ֔חַ
