Turn us again

הֲשִׁיבֵ֑נוּ

to shine

וְהָאֵ֥ר

and cause thy face

פָּ֝נֶ֗יךָ

and we shall be saved

וְנִוָּשֵֽׁעָה׃

O LORD

יְהוָ֣ה

אֱלֹהִ֣ים

of hosts

צְבָא֑וֹת

 

עַד

 

מָתַ֥י

how long wilt thou be angry

עָ֝שַׁ֗נְתָּ

against the prayer

בִּתְפִלַּ֥ת

of thy people

עַמֶּֽךָ׃

Thou feedest

הֶ֭אֱכַלְתָּם

them with the bread

לֶ֣חֶם

and givest them tears

בִּדְמָע֥וֹת

to drink

וַ֝תַּשְׁקֵ֗מוֹ

and givest them tears

בִּדְמָע֥וֹת

in great measure

שָׁלִֽישׁ׃

Thou makest

תְּשִׂימֵ֣נוּ

us a strife

מָ֭דוֹן

unto our neighbours

לִשְׁכֵנֵ֑ינוּ

and our enemies

וְ֝אֹיְבֵ֗ינוּ

laugh

יִלְעֲגוּ

 

לָֽמוֹ׃

O God

אֱלֹהִ֣ים

of hosts

צְבָא֣וֹת

Turn us again

הֲשִׁיבֵ֑נוּ

to shine

וְהָאֵ֥ר

and cause thy face

פָּ֝נֶ֗יךָ

and we shall be saved

וְנִוָּשֵֽׁעָה׃

a vine

גֶּ֭פֶן

out of Egypt

מִמִּצְרַ֣יִם

Thou hast brought

תַּסִּ֑יעַ

thou hast cast out

תְּגָרֵ֥שׁ

the heathen

גּ֝וֹיִ֗ם

and planted

וַתִּטָּעֶֽהָ׃

Thou preparedst

פִּנִּ֥יתָ

room before

לְפָנֶ֑יהָ

root

וַתַּשְׁרֵ֥שׁ

it and didst cause it to take deep

שָׁ֝רָשֶׁ֗יהָ

and it filled

וַתְּמַלֵּא

the land

אָֽרֶץ׃

were covered

כָּסּ֣וּ

The hills

הָרִ֣ים

with the shadow

צִלָּ֑הּ

of it and the boughs

וַ֝עֲנָפֶ֗יהָ

cedars

אַֽרְזֵי

thereof were like the goodly

אֵֽל׃

She sent out

תְּשַׁלַּ֣ח

her boughs

קְצִירֶ֣הָ

 

עַד

unto the sea

יָ֑ם

 

וְאֶל

unto the river

נָ֝הָ֗ר

and her branches

יֽוֹנְקוֹתֶֽיהָ׃

 

לָ֭מָּה

Why hast thou then broken down

פָּרַ֣צְתָּ

her hedges

גְדֵרֶ֑יהָ

do pluck

וְ֝אָר֗וּהָ

 

כָּל

so that all they which pass

עֹ֥בְרֵי

by the way

דָֽרֶךְ׃

doth waste

יְכַרְסְמֶ֣נָּֽה

The boar

חֲזִ֣יר

out of the wood

מִיָּ֑עַר

it and the wild beast

וְזִ֖יז

of the field

שָׂדַ֣י

doth devour

יִרְעֶֽנָּה׃

we beseech thee O God

אֱלֹהִ֣ים

of hosts

צְבָאוֹת֮

Return

שֽׁ֫וּב

 

נָ֥א

look down

הַבֵּ֣ט

from heaven

מִשָּׁמַ֣יִם

and behold

וּרְאֵ֑ה

and visit

וּ֝פְקֹ֗ד

this vine

גֶּ֣פֶן

 

זֹֽאת׃

And the vineyard

וְ֭כַנָּה

 

אֲשֶׁר

hath planted

נָטְעָ֣ה

which thy right hand

יְמִינֶ֑ךָ

 

וְעַל

and the branch

בֵּ֝֗ן

that thou madest strong

אִמַּ֥צְתָּה

 

לָּֽךְ׃

It is burned

שְׂרֻפָ֣ה

with fire

בָאֵ֣שׁ

it is cut down

כְּסוּחָ֑ה

at the rebuke

מִגַּעֲרַ֖ת

of thy countenance

פָּנֶ֣יךָ

they perish

יֹאבֵֽדוּ׃

 

תְּֽהִי

Let thy hand

יָ֭דְךָ

 

עַל

be upon the man

אִ֣ישׁ

of thy right hand

יְמִינֶ֑ךָ

 

עַל

upon the son

בֶּן

of man

אָ֝דָ֗ם

whom thou madest strong

אִמַּ֥צְתָּ

 

לָּֽךְ׃

 

וְלֹא

So will not we go back

נָס֥וֹג

 

מִמֶּ֑ךָּ

from thee quicken

תְּ֝חַיֵּ֗נוּ

upon thy name

וּבְשִׁמְךָ֥

us and we will call

נִקְרָֽא׃

O LORD

יְה֘וָ֤ה

God

אֱלֹהִ֣ים

of hosts

צְבָא֣וֹת

Turn us again

הֲשִׁיבֵ֑נוּ

to shine
