לְהַגְדִּ֨יל׀

לְשֵׁ֤ם

and of glory

וּלְתִפְאֶ֙רֶת֙

 

לְכָל

throughout all countries

הָ֣אֲרָצ֔וֹת

לִבְנ֣וֹת

בַּ֔יִת

unto the name

לְשֵׁ֖ם

of the LORD

But the word

דְּבַר

of the LORD

יְהוָה֙

came to me saying

לֵאמֹ֔ר

Thou hast shed

שָׁפַ֥כְתָּ

wars

וּמִלְחָמ֥וֹת

great

גְּדֹל֖וֹת

and hast made

עָשִׂ֑יתָ

 

לֹֽא

thou shalt not build

תִבְנֶ֥ה

an house

בַ֙יִת֙

unto my name

לִשְׁמִ֔י

 

כִּ֚י

blood

דָּמִ֣ים

much

רַבִּ֔ים

Thou hast shed

שָׁפַ֥כְתָּ

upon the earth

אַ֖רְצָה

in my sight

לְפָנָֽי׃

 

הִנֵּה

Behold a son

בֵ֞ן

shall be born

נוֹלָ֣ד

 

לָ֗ךְ

 

ה֤וּא

 

יִֽהְיֶה֙

to thee who shall be a man

אִ֣ישׁ

of rest

מְנוּחָ֔ה

and I will give him rest

וַהֲנִיח֥וֹתִי

מִכָּל

from all his enemies

אֽוֹיְבָ֖יו

shall be Solomon

שְׁלֹמֹה֙

וְשָׁל֥וֹם

וָשֶׁ֛קֶט

and I will give

אֶתֵּ֥ן

 

עַל

unto Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל

in his days

בְּיָמָֽיו׃

 

הֽוּא

He shall build

יִבְנֶ֥ה

an house

בַ֙יִת֙

for my name

לִשְׁמִ֔י

 

וְהוּא֙

 

יִֽהְיֶה

 

לִּ֣י

and he shall be my son

לְבֵ֔ן

 

וַֽאֲנִי

and I will be his father

לְאָ֑ב

and I will establish

וַהֲכִ֨ינוֹתִ֜י

the throne

with you and hath he not given you rest

וְהֵנִ֥יחַ

נָתַ֣ן

into mine hand

the inhabitants

תְּנ֤וּ

to seek

לִדְר֖וֹשׁ

of the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים

arise

וְק֗וּמוּ

that is to be built

הַנִּבְנֶ֥ה

מִקְדַּשׁ֙
