בְּנָיָ֖הוּ

princes

שָׂרֵ֖י

of the people

הָעָֽם׃

Then said

וַיֹּ֖אמֶר

 

אֵלָ֑י

he unto me Son

בֶּן

of man

אָדָ֕ם

 

אֵ֣לֶּה

 

הָאֲנָשִׁ֞ים

that devise

הַחֹשְׁבִ֥ים

mischief

אָ֛וֶן

and give

וְהַיֹּעֲצִ֥ים

counsel

עֲצַת

wicked

רָ֖ע

in this city

בָּעִ֥יר

 

הַזֹּֽאת׃

Which say

הָאֹ֣מְרִ֔ים

 

לֹ֥א

It is not near

בְקָר֖וֹב

let us build

בְּנ֣וֹת

houses

בָּתִּ֑ים

 

הִ֣יא

this city is the caldron

הַסִּ֔יר

 

וַאֲנַ֖חְנוּ

and we be the flesh

הַבָּשָֽׂר׃

 

לָכֵ֖ן

Therefore prophesy

הִנָּבֵ֖א

 

עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם

O son

בֶּן

of man

אָדָֽם׃

וַתִּפֹּ֣ל

And the Spirit

רֽוּחֲכֶ֖ם

of the LORD

אֵלַ֗י

the things that come

וּמַעֲל֥וֹת

And the Spirit

רֽוּחֲכֶ֖ם

 

אֲנִ֥י

for I know

יְדַעְתִּֽיהָ׃

Ye have multiplied

הִרְבֵּיתֶ֥ם

thereof with the slain

חָלָֽל׃

in this city

בָּעִ֣יר

 

הַזֹּ֑את

and ye have filled

וּמִלֵּאתֶ֥ם

the streets

חוּצֹתֶ֖יהָ

thereof with the slain

חָלָֽל׃

 

לָכֵ֗ן

 

כֹּֽה

Therefore thus saith

אָמַר֮

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֣י

GOD

יְהוִה֒

Your slain

חַלְלֵיכֶם֙

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

whom ye have laid

שַׂמְתֶּ֣ם

in the midst

מִתּוֹכָֽהּ׃

 

הֵ֥מָּה

of it they are the flesh

הַבָּשָׂ֖ר

 

וְהִ֣יא

and this city is the caldron

הַסִּ֑יר

 

וְאֶתְכֶ֖ם

but I will bring you forth

הוֹצִ֥יא

in the midst

מִתּוֹכָֽהּ׃

a sword

וְחֶ֙רֶב֙

Ye have feared

יְרֵאתֶ֑ם

a sword

וְחֶ֙רֶב֙

and I will bring

אָבִ֣יא

 

עֲלֵיכֶ֔ם

upon you saith

נְאֻ֖ם

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֥י

GOD

יְהוִֽה׃

And I will bring you out

וְהוֹצֵאתִ֤י

 

אֶתְכֶם֙

of the midst

מִתּוֹכָ֔הּ

thereof and deliver

וְנָתַתִּ֥י

 

אֶתְכֶ֖ם

you into the hands

בְּיַד

of strangers

זָרִ֑ים

and will execute

וְעָשִׂ֛יתִי

 

בָכֶ֖ם

judgments

שְׁפָטִֽים׃

by the sword

בַּחֶ֣רֶב

Ye shall fall

תִּפֹּ֔לוּ

 

עַל

you in the border

גְּב֥וּל

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל

I will judge

אֶשְׁפּ֣וֹט

 

אֶתְכֶ֑ם

and ye shall know

וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם

 

כִּֽי

 

אֲנִ֥י

that I am the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

 

הִ֗יא

 

לֹֽא

 

תִהְיֶ֤ה

 

לָכֶם֙

This city shall not be your caldron

לְסִ֔יר

 

וְאַתֶּ֛ם

 

תִּהְי֥וּ

in the midst

בְתוֹכָ֖הּ

neither shall ye be the flesh

לְבָשָׂ֑ר

 

אֶל

you in the border

גְּב֥וּל

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל

thereof but I will judge

אֶשְׁפֹּ֥ט

And ye shall know

וִֽידַעְתֶּם֙

אֲנִ֣י

that I am the LORD

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

in my statutes

בְּחֻקַּי֙

 

לֹ֣א

for ye have not walked

הֲלַכְתֶּ֔ם

after the manners

וּֽכְמִשְׁפְּטֵ֧י

 

לֹ֣א

but have done

עֲשִׂיתֶֽם׃

after the manners

וּֽכְמִשְׁפְּטֵ֧י

of the heathen

הַגּוֹיִ֛ם

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

that are round about

סְבִיבוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם

but have done

עֲשִׂיתֶֽם׃

 

וַֽיְהִי֙

And it came to pass when I prophesied

כְּהִנָּ֣בְאִ֔י

that Pelatiah

וּפְלַטְיָ֥הוּ

the son

בֶן

of Benaiah

בְּנָיָ֖ה

died

מֵ֑ת

Then fell I down

וָאֶפֹּ֨ל

 

עַל

upon my face

פָּנַ֜י

and cried

וָאֶזְעַ֣ק

voice

קוֹל

with a loud

גָּד֗וֹל

and said

וָאֹמַר֙

Ah

אֲהָהּ֙

Lord

אֲדֹנָ֣י

GOD

יְהוִ֔ה

a full end

כָּלָה֙

 

אַתָּ֣ה

wilt thou make

עֹשֶׂ֔ה

 

אֵ֖ת

of the remnant

שְׁאֵרִ֥ית

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

 

וַיְהִ֥י

even thy brethren

אַנְשֵׁ֣י

of thy kindred

גְאֻלָּתֶ֔ךָ

אֲשֶׁר֩

have said

אָמְר֨וּ

 

לָהֶ֜ם

wholly are they unto whom the inhabitants

יֹשְׁבֵ֣י

of Jerusalem

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם

Get you far

רַֽחֲקוּ֙

 

מֵעַ֣ל

from the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

 

לָ֥נוּ

 

הִ֛יא

given

נִתְּנָ֥ה

unto us is this land

הָאָ֖רֶץ

in possession

לְמוֹרָשָֽׁה׃

 

לָכֵ֣ן

Therefore say

אָמַר֮

כִּ֤י

Although I have cast them far off

הִרְחַקְתִּים֙

among the heathen

בַּגּוֹיִ֔ם

 

וְכִ֥י

and although I have scattered

הֲפִֽיצוֹתִ֖ים

in the countries

בָּאֲרָצ֖וֹת

 

וָאֱהִ֤י

 

לָהֶם֙

sanctuary

לְמִקְדָּ֣שׁ

yet will I be to them as a little

מְעַ֔ט

in the countries

בָּאֲרָצ֖וֹת

 

אֲשֶׁר

where they shall come

בָּ֥אוּ

 

שָֽׁם׃

 

לָכֵ֣ן

Therefore say

אָמַר֮

 

כֹּֽה

Therefore say

אָמַר֮

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֣י

 

יְהוִה֒

I will even gather

וְקִבַּצְתִּ֤י

 

אֶתְכֶם֙

 

מִן

you from the people

הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים

and assemble

וְאָסַפְתִּ֣י

 

אֶתְכֶ֔ם

 

מִן

you out of the countries

הָ֣אֲרָצ֔וֹת

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

where ye have been scattered

נְפֹצוֹתֶ֖ם

 

בָּהֶ֑ם

and I will give

וְנָתַתִּ֥י

 

לָכֶ֖ם

 

אֶת

you the land

אַדְמַ֥ת

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

And they shall come

וּבָ֖אוּ

 

שָׁ֑מָּה

thither and they shall take away

וְהֵסִ֜ירוּ

 

אֶת

 

כָּל

all the detestable things

שִׁקּוּצֶ֛יהָ

 

וְאֶת

 

כָּל

thereof and all the abominations

תּוֹעֲבוֹתֶ֖יהָ

 

מִמֶּֽנָּה׃

And I will give

וְנָתַתִּ֥י

 

לָהֶם֙

heart

לֵ֥ב

them one

אֶחָ֔ד

spirit

וְר֥וּחַ

a new

חֲדָשָׁ֖ה

And I will give

וְנָתַתִּ֥י

within

בְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑ם

you and I will take

וַהֲסִ֨רֹתִ֜י

heart

לֵ֥ב

the stony

הָאֶ֙בֶן֙

of flesh

בָּשָֽׂר׃

And I will give

וְנָתַתִּ֥י

 

לָהֶ֖ם

heart

לֵ֥ב

of flesh

בָּשָֽׂר׃

 

לְמַ֙עַן֙

in my statutes

בְּחֻקֹּתַ֣י

 

יֵלֵ֔כוּ

 

וְאֶת

mine ordinances

מִשְׁפָּטַ֥י

and keep

יִשְׁמְר֖וּ

and do

וְעָשׂ֣וּ

 

אֹתָ֑ם

 

וְהָיוּ

 

לִ֣י

them and they shall be my people

לְעָ֔ם

 

וַאֲנִ֕י

 

אֶהְיֶ֥ה

 

לָהֶ֖ם

and I will be their God

לֵאלֹהִֽים׃

 

וְאֶל

But as for them whose heart

לִבָּ֣ם

of their detestable things

שִׁקּוּצֵיהֶ֛ם

and their abominations

וְתוֹעֲבוֹתֵיהֶ֖ם

But as for them whose heart

לִבָּ֣ם

walketh

הֹלֵ֑ךְ

their way

דַּרְכָּם֙

upon their own heads

בְּרֹאשָׁ֣ם

I will recompense

נָתַ֔תִּי

saith

נְאֻ֖ם

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֥י

 

יְהוִֽה׃

lift up

וַיִּשְׂא֤וּ

Then did the cherubims

הַכְּרוּבִים֙

 

אֶת

their wings

כַּנְפֵיהֶ֔ם

and the wheels

וְהָאֽוֹפַנִּ֖ים

beside

לְעֻמָּתָ֑ם

them and the glory

וּכְב֧וֹד

of the God

אֱלֹהֵֽי

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל

 

עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם

was over them above

מִלְמָֽעְלָה׃

went up

וַיַּ֙עַל֙

And the glory

כְּב֣וֹד

of the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

 

מֵעַ֖ל

from the midst

תּ֣וֹךְ

of the city

לָעִֽיר׃

and stood

וַֽיַּעֲמֹד֙

 

עַל

upon the mountain

הָהָ֔ר

 

אֲשֶׁ֖ר

which is on the east side

מִקֶּ֥דֶם

of the city

Afterwards the spirit

בְּר֣וּחַ

took me up

נְשָׂאַ֗תְנִי

and brought

וַתְּבִאֵ֤נִי

into Chaldea

כַשְׂדִּ֙ימָה֙

So the vision

הַמַּרְאֶ֖ה

Afterwards the spirit

בְּר֣וּחַ

אֱלֹהִ֑ים

went up

מֵֽעָלַ֔י

that I had seen

רָאִֽיתִי׃

Then I spake

וָאֲדַבֵּ֖ר

 

אֶל

unto them of the captivity

הַגּוֹלָ֑ה

 

אֵ֛ת

 

כָּל

all the things

דִּבְרֵ֥י

that the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

had shewed

הֶרְאָֽנִי׃
