Such as are for death

לַמָּ֙וֶת֙

and such as are for the sword

לַחֶ֔רֶב

and such as are for the sword

וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר

and such as are for the captivity

And I will appoint

וּפָקַדְתִּ֨י

 

עֲלֵיהֶ֜ם

over them four

אַרְבַּ֤ע

kinds

מִשְׁפָּחוֹת֙

saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

 

אֶת

the sword

הַחֶ֣רֶב

to slay

לַֽהֲרֹ֔ג

 

וְאֶת

and the dogs

הַכְּלָבִ֖ים

to tear

לִסְחֹ֑ב

 

וְאֶת

and the fowls

ע֧וֹף

of the heaven

הַשָּׁמַ֛יִם

 

וְאֶת

and the beasts

בֶּהֱמַ֥ת

of the earth

הָאָ֖רֶץ

to devour

לֶאֱכֹ֥ל

and destroy

וּלְהַשְׁחִֽית׃

And I will cause

וּנְתַתִּ֣ים

 

לְזַֽוֲעָ֔ה

 

לְכֹ֖ל

into all kingdoms

מַמְלְכ֣וֹת

of the earth

הָאָ֑רֶץ

because

בִּ֠גְלַל

of Manasseh

מְנַשֶּׁ֤ה

the son

בֶן

of Hezekiah

יְחִזְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙

king

מֶ֣לֶךְ

of Judah

יְהוּדָ֔ה

 

עַ֥ל

 

אֲשֶׁר

for that which he did

עָשָׂ֖ה

in Jerusalem

בִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃

 

כִּ֠י

 

מִֽי

For who shall have pity

יַחְמֹ֤ל

 

עָלַ֙יִךְ֙

upon thee O Jerusalem

יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם

 

וּמִ֖י

or who shall bemoan

יָנ֣וּד

 

לָ֑ךְ

 

וּמִ֣י

thee or who shall go aside

יָס֔וּר

to ask

לִשְׁאֹ֥ל

how thou doest

לְשָׁלֹ֖ם

 

לָֽךְ׃

 

אַ֣תְּ

Thou hast forsaken

נָטַ֥שְׁתְּ

 

אֹתִ֛י

me saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

backward

אָח֣וֹר

 

תֵּלֵ֑כִי

therefore will I stretch out

וָאַ֨ט

 

אֶת

my hand

יָדִ֤י

 

עָלַ֙יִךְ֙

against thee and destroy

וָֽאַשְׁחִיתֵ֔ךְ

thee I am weary

נִלְאֵ֖יתִי

with repenting

הִנָּחֵֽם׃

And I will fan

וָאֶזְרֵ֥ם

them with a fan

בְּמִזְרֶ֖ה

in the gates

בְּשַׁעֲרֵ֣י

of the land

הָאָ֑רֶץ

I will bereave

שִׁכַּ֤לְתִּי

them of children I will destroy

אִבַּ֙דְתִּי֙

 

אֶת

my people

עַמִּ֔י

not from their ways

מִדַּרְכֵיהֶ֖ם

 

לוֹא

since they return

שָֽׁבוּ׃

are increased

עָֽצְמוּ

 

לִ֤י

Their widows

אַלְמְנוֹתָו֙

to me above the sand

מֵח֣וֹל

of the seas

יַמִּ֔ים

I have brought

הֵבֵ֨אתִי

 

לָהֶ֥ם

 

עַל

upon them against the mother

אֵ֛ם

of the young men

בָּח֖וּר

a spoiler

שֹׁדֵ֣ד

at noonday

בַּֽצָּהֳרָ֑יִם

I have caused him to fall

הִפַּ֤לְתִּי

 

עָלֶ֙יהָ֙

upon it suddenly

פִּתְאֹ֔ם

upon the city

עִ֖יר

and terrors

וּבֶהָלֽוֹת׃

languisheth

אֻמְלְלָ֞ה

She that hath borne

יֹלֶ֣דֶת

seven

הַשִּׁבְעָ֗ה

she hath given up

נָפְחָ֥ה

the ghost

נַפְשָׁ֛הּ

is gone

בָּ֥אה

her sun

שִׁמְשָׁ֛הּ

 

בְּעֹ֥ד

down while it was yet day

יוֹמָ֖ם

she hath been ashamed

בּ֣וֹשָׁה

and confounded

וְחָפֵ֑רָה

and the residue

וּשְׁאֵֽרִיתָ֗ם

to the sword

לַחֶ֧רֶב

of them will I deliver

אֶתֵּ֛ן

before

לִפְנֵ֥י

their enemies

אֹיְבֵיהֶ֖ם

saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

Woe

אֽוֹי

 

לִ֣י

is me my mother

אִמִּ֔י

 

כִּ֣י

that thou hast borne

יְלִדְתִּ֗נִי

and a man

וְאִ֥ישׁ

of strife

רִ֛יב

and a man

וְאִ֥ישׁ

of contention

מָד֖וֹן

 

לְכָל

to the whole earth

הָאָ֑רֶץ

 

לֹֽא

I have neither lent on usury

נָֽשׁוּ

 

וְלֹא

I have neither lent on usury

בִ֖י

 

כֻּלֹּ֥ה

yet every one of them doth curse

מְקַלְלַֽונִי׃

said

אָמַ֣ר

The LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

verily

אִם

Verily

ל֣וֹא׀

 

שֵֽׁרִותִ֖ךָ

it shall be well

לְט֑וֹב

verily

אִם

Verily

ל֣וֹא׀

to entreat

הִפְגַּ֣עְתִּֽי

 

בְךָ֗

and in the time

וּבְעֵ֥ת

of evil

רָעָ֛ה

and in the time

וּבְעֵ֥ת

of affliction

צָרָ֖ה

 

אֶת

I will cause the enemy

הָאֹיֵֽב׃

break

הֲיָרֹ֨עַ

Shall iron

בַּרְזֶ֛ל

the northern

מִצָּפ֖וֹן

and the steel

וּנְחֹֽשֶׁת׃

Thy substance

חֵילְךָ֧

and thy treasures

וְאוֹצְרוֹתֶ֛יךָ

to the spoil

לָבַ֥ז

will I give

אֶתֵּ֖ן

 

לֹ֣א

without price

בִמְחִ֑יר

 

וּבְכָל

and that for all thy sins

חַטֹּאותֶ֖יךָ

 

וּבְכָל

even in all thy borders

גְּבוּלֶֽיךָ׃

And I will make thee to pass

וְהַֽעֲבַרְתִּי֙

 

אֶת

with thine enemies

אֹ֣יְבֶ֔יךָ

into a land

בְּאֶ֖רֶץ

 

לֹ֣א

which thou knowest

יָדָ֑עְתָּ

 

כִּֽי

not for a fire

אֵ֛שׁ

is kindled

קָדְחָ֥ה

in mine anger

בְאַפִּ֖י

 

עֲלֵיכֶ֥ם

which shall burn

תּוּקָֽד׃

 

אַתָּ֧ה

know

דַּ֕ע

O LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

remember

זָכְרֵ֤נִי

me and visit

וּפָקְדֵ֙נִי֙

me and revenge

וְהִנָּ֤קֶם

 

לִי֙

me of my persecutors

מֵרֹ֣דְפַ֔י

 

אַל

 

לְאֶ֥רֶךְ

in thy longsuffering

אַפְּךָ֖

take me not away

תִּקָּחֵ֑נִי

know

דַּ֕ע

that for thy sake I have suffered

שְׂאֵתִ֥י

 

עָלֶ֖יךָ

rebuke

חֶרְפָּֽה׃

were found

נִמְצְא֤וּ

דְבָֽרְיךָ֙

and I did eat

וָאֹ֣כְלֵ֔ם

 

וַיְהִ֤י

was unto me the joy

לְשָׂשׂ֖וֹן

וּלְשִׂמְחַ֣ת

by thy name

עָלַ֔י

O LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

אֱלֹהֵ֥י

of hosts

צְבָאֽוֹת׃

 

לֹֽא

I sat

יָשַׁ֔בְתִּי

not in the assembly

בְסוֹד

of the mockers

מְשַׂחֲקִ֖ים

nor rejoiced

וָֽאֶעְלֹ֑ז

because

מִפְּנֵ֤י

of thy hand

יָֽדְךָ֙

alone

בָּדָ֣ד

I sat

יָשַׁ֔בְתִּי

 

כִּֽי

me with indignation

זַ֖עַם

for thou hast filled

מִלֵּאתָֽנִי׃

 

לָ֣מָּה

 

הָיָ֤ה

Why is my pain

כְאֵבִי֙

perpetual

נֶ֔צַח

and my wound

וּמַכָּתִ֖י

incurable

אֲנוּשָׁ֑ה֙

which refuseth

מֵֽאֲנָה֙

to be healed

הֵֽרָפֵ֔א

 

הָי֨וֹ

 

תִֽהְיֶ֥ה

 

לִי֙

 

כְּמ֣וֹ

wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar

אַכְזָ֔ב

and as waters

מַ֖יִם

 

לֹ֥א

that fail

נֶאֱמָֽנוּ׃

 

לָכֵ֞ן

 

כֹּֽה

Therefore thus saith

אָמַ֣ר

the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

 

אִם

If thou return

תָשׁ֥וּב

לְפָנַ֣י

and thou shalt stand

תַּֽעֲמֹ֔ד

 

וְאִם

me and if thou take forth

תּוֹצִ֥יא

the precious

יָקָ֛ר

from the vile

מִזּוֹלֵ֖ל

thou shalt be as my mouth

כְּפִ֣י

 

תִֽהְיֶ֑ה

If thou return

תָשׁ֥וּב

 

הֵ֙מָּה֙

 

אֵלֶ֔יךָ

 

וְאַתָּ֖ה

 

לֹֽא

If thou return

תָשׁ֥וּב

 

אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

And I will make

וּנְתַתִּ֜יךָ

thee unto this people

לָעָ֣ם

 

הַזֶּ֗ה

wall

לְחוֹמַ֤ת

brasen

נְחֹ֙שֶׁת֙

a fenced

בְּצוּרָ֔ה

and they shall fight

וְנִלְחֲמ֥וּ

 

אֵלֶ֖יךָ

 

וְלֹא

against thee but they shall not prevail

י֣וּכְלוּ

 

לָ֑ךְ

 

כִּֽי

 

אִתְּךָ֥

 

אֲנִ֛י

against thee for I am with thee to save

לְהוֹשִֽׁיעֲךָ֥

thee and to deliver

וּלְהַצִּילֶ֖ךָ

thee saith

נְאֻם

the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

And I will deliver

וְהִצַּלְתִּ֖יךָ

thee out of the hand

מִיַּ֣ד

of the wicked

רָעִ֑ים

and I will redeem

וּפְדִתִ֖יךָ

thee out of the hand

מִכַּ֥ף

of the terrible

עָרִצִֽים׃
