the city

הָעִ֖יר

אַנְשֵׁ֣י

of war

הַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה

and go round about

הַקֵּ֥יף

and the priests

וְהַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים

shall blow

יִתְקְע֖וּ

trumpets

בַּשּֽׁוֹפָרֽוֹת׃

 

וְהָיָ֞ה

And it shall come to pass that when they make a long

בִּמְשֹׁ֣ךְ׀

horn

בְּקֶ֣רֶן

blast with the ram's

הַיּוֹבֵ֗ל

and when ye hear

כְּשָׁמְעֲכֶם֙

 

אֶת

the sound

ק֣וֹל

of the trumpet

הַשּׁוֹפָ֔ר

shall shout

יָרִ֥יעוּ

 

כָל

all the people

הָעָ֖ם

shout

תְּרוּעָ֣ה

with a great

גְדוֹלָ֑ה

shall fall down

וְנָ֨פְלָ֜ה

and the wall

חוֹמַ֤ת

of the city

הָעִיר֙

flat

תַּחְתֶּ֔יהָ

shall ascend up

וְעָל֥וּ

all the people

הָעָ֖ם

every man

of rams' horns

הַיּֽוֹבְלִים֙

לִפְנֵ֣י

of the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

passed on

עָֽבְר֕וּ

and blew

וְתָֽקְע֖וּ

trumpets

בַּשּֽׁוֹפָר֑וֹת

and the ark

וַֽאֲרוֹן֙

of the covenant

בְּרִ֣ית

of the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

followed

הֹלֵ֖ךְ

them

אַֽחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃

And the armed

וְהֶֽחָל֣וּץ

came

הָל֖וֹךְ

before

לִפְנֵי֙

the priests

הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים

and blowing

וְתָק֥וֹעַ

with the trumpets

בַּשּֽׁוֹפָרֽוֹת׃

and the rereward

וְהַֽמְאַסֵּ֗ף

הָל֖וֹךְ

the ark

I bid

אָמְרִ֧י

 

לֹ֤א

Ye shall not shout

וַהֲרִֽיעֹתֶֽם׃

 

וְלֹֽא

nor make any noise

תַשְׁמִ֣יעוּ

with your voice

קֽוֹלְכֶ֔ם

proceed

יֵצֵ֥א

out of your mouth

לְחֵ֔רֶם

lest ye make yourselves accursed

תַּחֲרִ֖ימוּ

when ye take

וּלְקַחְתֶּ֣ם

when the priests blew

וַֽיִּתְקְע֖וּ

of the trumpet

הַשּׁוֹפָ֗ר

 

וַיְהִי֩

heard

כִשְׁמֹ֨עַ

So the people

הָעָ֤ם

the sound

ק֣וֹל

of the trumpet

הַשּׁוֹפָ֗ר

shouted

וַיָּרִ֤יעוּ

So the people

הָעָ֤ם

shout

תְּרוּעָ֣ה

with a great

גְדוֹלָ֔ה

fell down flat

וַתִּפֹּ֨ל

that the wall

הַֽחוֹמָ֜ה

וַיַּ֨עַל

So the people

הָעָ֤ם

into the city

הָעִֽיר׃

every man

straight before him and they took

וַֽיִּלְכְּד֖וּ

And they utterly destroyed

So the LORD

and his fame

בְּכָל

was noised throughout all the country
