הָיִ֙יתִי֙
is me! for I am as when they have gathered
כְּאָסְפֵּי
the summer fruits
קַ֔יִץ
as the grapegleanings
כְּעֹלְלֹ֖ת
of the vintage
בָּצִ֑יר
 
אֵין
there is no cluster
אֶשְׁכּ֣וֹל
to eat
לֶאֱכ֔וֹל
the firstripe fruit
בִּכּוּרָ֖ה
desired
אִוְּתָ֥ה
my soul
נַפְשִֽׁי׃

man is perished
אָבַ֤ד
The good
חָסִיד֙
 
מִן
out of the earth
הָאָ֔רֶץ
and there is none upright
וְיָשָׁ֥ר
among men
בָּאָדָ֖ם
 
אָ֑יִן
 
כֻּלָּם֙
for blood
לְדָמִ֣ים
they all lie in wait
יֶאֱרֹ֔בוּ
every man
אִ֥ישׁ
 
אֶת
his brother
אָחִ֖יהוּ
they hunt
יָצ֥וּדוּ
with a net
חֵֽרֶם׃

עַל
That they may do evil
הָרַ֤ע
with both hands
כַּפַּ֙יִם֙
earnestly
לְהֵיטִ֔יב
the prince
הַשַּׂ֣ר
asketh
שֹׁאֵ֔ל
and the judge
וְהַשֹּׁפֵ֖ט
asketh for a reward
בַּשִּׁלּ֑וּם
and the great
וְהַגָּד֗וֹל
man he uttereth
דֹּבֵ֨ר
his mischievous
הַוַּ֥ת
desire
נַפְשׁ֛וֹ
 
ה֖וּא
so they wrap it up
וַֽיְעַבְּתֽוּהָ׃

The best
טוֹבָ֣ם
of them is as a brier
כְּחֵ֔דֶק
the most upright
יָשָׁ֖ר
is sharper than a thorn hedge
מִמְּסוּכָ֑ה
the day
י֤וֹם
of thy watchmen
מְצַפֶּ֙יךָ֙
and thy visitation
פְּקֻדָּתְךָ֣
cometh
בָ֔אָה
 
עַתָּ֥ה
 
תִהְיֶ֖ה
now shall be their perplexity
מְבוּכָתָֽם׃

Trust
תַּאֲמִ֣ינוּ
ye not in a friend
בְרֵ֔עַ
 
אַֽל
put ye not confidence
תִּבְטְח֖וּ
in a guide
בְּאַלּ֑וּף
from her that lieth
מִשֹּׁכֶ֣בֶת
in thy bosom
חֵיקֶ֔ךָ
keep
שְׁמֹ֖ר
the doors
פִּתְחֵי
of thy mouth
פִֽיךָ׃

For the son
בֵן֙
dishonoureth
מְנַבֵּ֣ל
the father
אָ֔ב
the daughter
בַּ֚ת
riseth up
קָמָ֣ה
against her mother
בְאִמָּ֔הּ
the daughter in law
כַּלָּ֖ה
against her mother in law
בַּחֲמֹתָ֑הּ
enemies
אֹיְבֵ֥י
a man's
אִ֖ישׁ
are the men
אַנְשֵׁ֥י
of his own house
בֵיתֽוֹ׃

וַאֲנִי֙
unto the LORD
בַּיהוָ֣ה
Therefore I will look
אֲצַפֶּ֔ה
I will wait
אוֹחִ֖ילָה
for the God
אֱלֹהָֽי׃
of my salvation
יִשְׁעִ֑י
will hear
יִשְׁמָעֵ֖נִי
for the God
אֱלֹהָֽי׃

תִּשְׂמְחִ֤י
not against me O mine enemy
אֹיַ֙בְתִּי֙
 
לִ֔י
 
כִּ֥י
when I fall
נָפַ֖לְתִּי
I shall arise
קָ֑מְתִּי
 
כִּֽי
when I sit
אֵשֵׁ֣ב
in darkness
בַּחֹ֔שֶׁךְ
the LORD
יְהוָ֖ה
shall be a light
א֥וֹר
 
לִֽי׃

the indignation
זַ֤עַף
of the LORD
יְהוָה֙
I will bear
אֶשָּׂ֔א
 
כִּ֥י
because I have sinned
חָטָ֖אתִי
 
ל֑וֹ
 
עַד֩
 
אֲשֶׁ֨ר
against him until he plead
יָרִ֤יב
my cause
רִיבִי֙
and execute
וְעָשָׂ֣ה
judgment
מִשְׁפָּטִ֔י
for me he will bring me forth
יוֹצִיאֵ֣נִי
to the light
לָא֔וֹר
and I shall behold
אֶרְאֶ֖ה
his righteousness
בְּצִדְקָתֽוֹ׃

shall behold
תִּרְאֶ֣ינָּה
Then she that is mine enemy
אֹיַ֙בְתִּי֙
shall cover
וּתְכַסֶּ֣הָ
it and shame
בוּשָׁ֔ה
her which said
הָאֹמְרָ֣ה
 
אֵלַ֔י
 
אַיּ֖וֹ
unto me Where is the LORD
יְהוָ֣ה
thy God
אֱלֹהָ֑יִךְ
mine eyes
עֵינַי֙
shall behold
תִּרְאֶ֣ינָּה
 
בָּ֔הּ
 
עַתָּ֛ה
 
תִּֽהְיֶ֥ה
her now shall she be trodden down
לְמִרְמָ֖ס
as the mire
כְּטִ֥יט
of the streets
חוּצֽוֹת׃

In the day

are to be built
לִבְנ֣וֹת
that thy walls
גְּדֵרָ֑יִךְ
In the day
י֥וֹם
 
הַה֖וּא
be far removed
יִרְחַק
shall the decree
חֹֽק׃

In that day
י֥וֹם
 
הוּא֙
 
וְעָדֶ֣יךָ
also he shall come
יָב֔וֹא
 
לְמִנִּ֥י
even to thee from Assyria
אַשּׁ֖וּר
cities
וְעָרֵ֣י
 
מָצ֑וֹר
 
וּלְמִנִּ֤י
and from the fortified
מָצוֹר֙
 
וְעַד
even to the river
נָהָ֔ר
and from sea
מִיָּ֖ם
and from sea
מִיָּ֖ם
and from mountain
הָהָֽר׃
and from mountain
הָהָֽר׃

וְהָיְתָ֥ה
Notwithstanding the land
הָאָ֛רֶץ
shall be desolate
לִשְׁמָמָ֖ה
 
עַל
because of them that dwell
יֹֽשְׁבֶ֑יהָ
therein for the fruit
מִפְּרִ֖י
of their doings
מַֽעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃

יִרְע֥וּ
thy people
עַמְּךָ֣
with thy rod
בְשִׁבְטֶ֗ךָ
the flock
צֹ֚אן
of thine heritage
נַֽחֲלָתֶ֔ךָ
which dwell
שֹׁכְנִ֣י
solitarily
לְבָדָ֔ד
in the wood
יַ֖עַר
in the midst
בְּת֣וֹךְ
of Carmel
כַּרְמֶ֑ל
Feed
יִרְע֥וּ
in Bashan
בָשָׁ֛ן
and Gilead
וְגִלְעָ֖ד
as in the days
כִּימֵ֥י
of old
עוֹלָֽם׃

According to the days
כִּימֵ֥י
of thy coming
צֵאתְךָ֖
out of the land
מֵאֶ֣רֶץ
of Egypt
מִצְרָ֑יִם
will I shew
אַרְאֶ֖נּוּ
unto him marvellous
נִפְלָאֽוֹת׃

shall see
יִרְא֤וּ
The nations
גוֹיִם֙
and be confounded
וְיֵבֹ֔שׁוּ
 
מִכֹּ֖ל
at all their might
גְּבֽוּרָתָ֑ם
they shall lay
יָשִׂ֤ימוּ
their hand
יָד֙
 
עַל
upon their mouth
פֶּ֔ה
their ears
אָזְנֵיהֶ֖ם
shall be deaf
תֶּחֱרַֽשְׁנָה׃
17
They shall lick
יְלַחֲכ֤וּ
the dust
עָפָר֙
like a serpent
כַּנָּחָ֔שׁ
like worms
כְּזֹחֲלֵ֣י
of the earth
אֶ֔רֶץ
they shall move
יִרְגְּז֖וּ
out of their holes
מִמִּסְגְּרֹֽתֵיהֶ֑ם
 
אֶל
of the LORD
יְהוָ֤ה
our God
אֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙
they shall be afraid
יִפְחָ֔דוּ
and shall fear
וְיִֽרְא֖וּ
 
מִמֶּֽךָּ׃

Who is a God
אֵ֣ל
 
כָּמ֗וֹךָ
like unto thee that pardoneth
נֹשֵׂ֤א
iniquity
עָוֹן֙
and passeth by
וְעֹבֵ֣ר
 
עַל
the transgression
פֶּ֔שַׁע
of the remnant
לִשְׁאֵרִ֖ית
of his heritage
נַחֲלָת֑וֹ
 
לֹא
he retaineth
הֶחֱזִ֤יק
for ever
לָעַד֙
not his anger
אַפּ֔וֹ
 
כִּֽי
because he delighteth
חָפֵ֥ץ
in mercy
חֶ֖סֶד
 
הֽוּא׃

He will turn again
יָשׁ֣וּב
he will have compassion
יְרַֽחֲמֵ֔נוּ
upon us he will subdue
יִכְבֹּ֖שׁ
our iniquities
עֲוֹֽנֹתֵ֑ינוּ
and thou wilt cast
וְתַשְׁלִ֛יךְ
into the depths
בִּמְצֻל֥וֹת
of the sea
יָ֖ם
 
כָּל
all their sins
חַטֹּאותָֽם׃

Thou wilt perform
תִּתֵּ֤ן
the truth
אֱמֶת֙
to Jacob
לְיַֽעֲקֹ֔ב
and the mercy
חֶ֖סֶד
to Abraham
לְאַבְרָהָ֑ם
 
אֲשֶׁר
which thou hast sworn
נִשְׁבַּ֥עְתָּ
unto our fathers
לַאֲבֹתֵ֖ינוּ
from the days
מִ֥ימֵי
of old
קֶֽדֶם׃
20
Thou wilt perform
תִּתֵּ֤ן
the truth
אֱמֶת֙
to Jacob
לְיַֽעֲקֹ֔ב
and the mercy
חֶ֖סֶד
to Abraham
לְאַבְרָהָ֑ם
 
אֲשֶׁר
which thou hast sworn
נִשְׁבַּ֥עְתָּ
unto our fathers
לַאֲבֹתֵ֖ינוּ
from the days
מִ֥ימֵי
of old
קֶֽדֶם׃
