נָתְנ֖וּ

their face

פְּנֵיהֶ֑ם

אִדָּרֵ֖שׁ

אִדָּרֵ֖שׁ

 

לָהֶֽם׃

 

לָכֵ֣ן

Therefore speak

דַּבֵּר

 

א֠וֹתָם

unto them Thus saith

the stumblingblock

וּמִכְשׁ֤וֹל

of his iniquity

עֲוֹנוֹ֙

and putteth

יָשִׂים֙

נֹ֣כַח

his face

פָּנָ֔יו

and cometh

וּבָ֖א

 

אֶל

to the prophet

הַנָּבִ֑יא

 

אֲנִ֣י

I the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

will answer

נַעֲנֵ֧יתִי

according to the multitude

בְּרֹ֥ב

his idols

גִּלּוּלָֽיו׃

 

לְמַ֛עַן

That I may take

תְּפֹ֥שׂ

 

אֶת

the house

בֵּֽית

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל

in their own heart

בְּלִבָּ֑ם

 

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

because they are all estranged

נָזֹ֙רוּ֙

 

מֵֽעָלַ֔י

from me through their idols

בְּגִלּֽוּלֵיהֶ֖ם

 

כֻּלָּֽם׃

 

לָכֵ֞ן

Therefore say

אָמַר֙

 

אֶל

unto the house

בֵּ֣ית

of Israel

הָשִׁ֥יבוּ

yourselves from your idols

גִּלּֽוּלֵיכֶ֑ם

 

וּמֵעַ֥ל

 

כָּל

from all your abominations

תּוֹעֲבֹתֵיכֶ֖ם

Repent

הָשִׁ֥יבוּ

your faces

פְנֵיכֶֽם׃

 

כִּי֩

which separateth

וְיִנָּזֵ֣ר

himself from me

מֵֽאַחֲרַ֗י

and setteth up

וְיַ֤עַל

And I will set

וְנָתַתִּ֨י

my face

against that man

בָּאִ֣ישׁ

 

הַה֗וּא

and will make

וַהֲשִֽׂמֹתִ֙יהוּ֙

him a sign

לְא֣וֹת

and a proverb

וְלִמְשָׁלִ֔ים

and I will cut him off

וְהִכְרַתִּ֖יו

from the midst

מִתּ֣וֹךְ

of my people

עַמִּ֑י

and ye shall know

וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם

 

כִּֽי

 

אֲנִ֥י

that I am the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

And if the prophet

הַנָּבִ֣יא

 

כִֽי

be deceived

פִּתֵּ֔יתִי

when he hath spoken

וְדִבֶּ֣ר

a thing

דָּבָ֔ר

 

אֲנִ֤י

I the LORD

יְהוָה֙

be deceived

פִּתֵּ֔יתִי

 

אֵ֖ת

And if the prophet

הַנָּבִ֣יא

 

הַה֑וּא

and I will stretch out

וְנָטִ֤יתִי

 

אֶת

my hand

יָדִי֙

 

עָלָ֔יו

upon him and will destroy

וְהִ֨שְׁמַדְתִּ֔יו

him from the midst

מִתּ֖וֹךְ

of my people

עַמִּ֥י

Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

And they shall bear

וְנָשְׂא֖וּ

shall be even as the punishment

כַּעֲוֹ֥ן

shall be even as the punishment

כַּעֲוֹ֥ן

of him that seeketh

הַדֹּרֵ֔שׁ

shall be even as the punishment

כַּעֲוֹ֥ן

of the prophet

הַנָּבִ֖יא

That the house

בֵּֽית

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵל֙

from me

מֵאַֽחֲרַ֔י

 

וְלֹֽא

neither be polluted

יִטַּמְּא֥וּ

 

ע֖וֹד

 

בְּכָל

any more with all their transgressions

פִּשְׁעֵיהֶ֑ם

 

וְהָֽיוּ

 

לִ֣י

but that they may be my people

לְעָ֗ם

 

וַֽאֲנִי֙

 

אֶהְיֶ֤ה

 

לָהֶם֙

and I may be their God

לֵֽאלֹהִ֔ים

saith

נְאֻ֖ם

the Lord

against me by trespassing

לִמְעָל

grievously

מַ֔עַל

then will I stretch out

וְנָטִ֤יתִי

mine hand

יָדִי֙

 

עָלֶ֔יהָ

upon it and will break

וְשָׁבַ֥רְתִּי

 

לָ֖הּ

the staff

מַטֵּה

of the bread

לָ֑חֶם

thereof and will send

וְהִשְׁלַחְתִּי

 

בָ֣הּ

famine

רָעָ֔ב

upon it and will cut off

וְהִכְרַתִּ֥י

 

מִמֶּ֖נָּה

man

אָדָ֥ם

and beast

וּבְהֵמָֽה׃

 

וְ֠הָיוּ

Though these three

שְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת

men

הָאֲנָשִׁ֤ים

 

הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙

were in it

בְּתוֹכָ֔הּ

Noah

נֹ֖חַ

דָּנִּאֵ֣ל

and Job

וְאִיּ֑וֹב

 

הֵ֤מָּה

by their righteousness

בְצִדְקָתָם֙

they should deliver

יְנַצְּל֣וּ

but their own souls

נַפְשָׁ֔ם

saith

נְאֻ֖ם

the Lord

If

לֽוּ

beasts

הַחַיָּֽה׃

I cause noisome

רָעָ֛ה

that no man may pass through

עוֹבֵ֔ר

the land

בָּאָ֖רֶץ

and they spoil

וְשִׁכְּלָ֑תָּה

 

וְהָיְתָ֤ה

it so that it be desolate

שְׁמָמָה֙

 

מִבְּלִ֣י

that no man may pass through

עוֹבֵ֔ר

because

מִפְּנֵ֖י

beasts

הַחַיָּֽה׃

Though these three

שְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת

 

הָאֲנָשִׁ֣ים

 

הָאֵלֶּה֮

were in it

בְּתוֹכָהּ֒

as I live

חַי

 

אָ֗נִי

saith

נְאֻם֙

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֣י

GOD

יְהוִ֔ה

 

אִם

neither sons

בָּנִ֥ים

 

וְאִם

nor daughters

בָּנ֖וֹת

they only shall be delivered

יִנָּצֵ֔לוּ

 

הֵ֤מָּה

 

לְבַדָּם֙

they only shall be delivered

יִנָּצֵ֔לוּ

but the land

וְהָאָ֖רֶץ

 

תִּהְיֶ֥ה

shall be desolate

שְׁמָמָֽה׃

 

א֛וֹ

Sword

חֶ֚רֶב

Or if I bring

וְאָמַרְתִּ֗י

judgments

שְׁפָטַ֣י׀

and the noisome

רָעָה֙

the sword

חֶ֠רֶב

and the famine

וְרָעָ֞ב

beast

וְחַיָּ֤ה

and the noisome

רָעָה֙

and the pestilence

וָדֶ֔בֶר

How much more when I send

שִׁלַּ֖חְתִּי

 

אֶל

upon Jerusalem

יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם

to cut off

לְהַכְרִ֥ית

 

מִמֶּ֖נָּה

from it man

אָדָ֥ם

and beast

וּבְהֵמָֽה׃

 

וְהִנֵּ֨ה

Yet behold therein shall be left

נֽוֹתְרָה

 

בָּ֜הּ

a remnant

פְּלֵטָ֗ה

behold they shall come forth

יוֹצְאִ֣ים

both sons

בָּנִ֣ים

and daughters

וּבָנוֹת֒

 

הִנָּם֙

behold they shall come forth

יוֹצְאִ֣ים

 

אֲלֵיכֶ֔ם

unto you and ye shall see

וּרְאִיתֶ֥ם

 

אֶת

their way

דַּרְכָּ֖ם

 

וְאֶת

and their doings

עֲלִֽילוֹתָ֑ם

and ye shall be comforted

וְנִחַמְתֶּ֗ם

concerning the evil

הָֽרָעָה֙

even concerning all that I have brought
