ye kill

not the flock

but ye feed

The diseased

הַחוֹלָ֣ה

have ye not strengthened

חִזַּקְתֶּ֜ם

 

וְאֶת

neither have ye healed

רִפֵּאתֶ֗ם

that which was broken

וְלַנִּשְׁבֶּ֙רֶת֙

that which was driven away

הַנִּדַּ֙חַת֙

neither have ye brought again

הֲשֵׁבֹתֶ֔ם

that which was lost

הָאֹבֶ֖דֶת

neither have ye sought

בִקַּשְׁתֶּ֑ם

but with force

וּבְחָזְקָ֛ה

have ye ruled

רְדִיתֶ֥ם

 

אֹתָ֖ם

and with cruelty

וּבְפָֽרֶךְ׃

And they were scattered

וַתְּפוּצֶֽינָה׃

 

מִבְּלִ֣י

because there is no shepherd

רֹעֶ֑ה

 

וַתִּהְיֶ֧ינָה

and they became meat

לְאָכְלָ֛ה

 

לְכָל

to all the beasts

חַיַּ֥ת

of the field

הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה

And they were scattered

וַתְּפוּצֶֽינָה׃

wandered

יִשְׁגּ֤וּ

My sheep

צֹאנִ֔י

 

בְּכָל

through all the mountains

הֶ֣הָרִ֔ים

 

וְעַ֖ל

 

כָּל

hill

גִּבְעָ֣ה

and upon every high

רָמָ֑ה

 

וְעַ֨ל

 

כָּל

upon all the face

פְּנֵ֤י

of the earth

הָאָ֙רֶץ֙

was scattered

נָפֹ֣צוּ

My sheep

צֹאנִ֔י

 

וְאֵ֥ין

and none did search

דּוֹרֵ֖שׁ

 

וְאֵ֥ין

or seek

מְבַקֵּֽשׁ׃

 

לָכֵ֣ן

Therefore ye shepherds

רֹעִ֔ים

hear

שִׁמְע֖וּ

 

אֶת

the word

דְּבַ֥ר

of the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

As I live

חַיַּ֤ת

 

אָ֜נִי

saith

נְאֻ֣ם׀

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֣י

GOD

יְהוִ֗ה

 

אִם

 

לֹ֣א

 

יַ֣עַן

 

הֱיֽוֹת

and my flock

צֹאנִ֖י

became a prey

לָבַ֡ז

 

וַתִּֽהְיֶינָה֩

and my flock

צֹאנִ֖י

became meat

לְאָכְלָ֜ה

 

לְכָל

As I live

חַיַּ֤ת

of the field

הַשָּׂדֶה֙

 

מֵאֵ֣ין

because there was no shepherd

רָעֽוּ׃

 

וְלֹֽא

search

דָרְשׁ֥וּ

because there was no shepherd

רָעֽוּ׃

 

אֶת

and my flock

צֹאנִ֖י

because there was no shepherd

Therefore O ye shepherds

הָֽרֹעִ֔ים

hear

שִׁמְע֖וּ

the word

דְּבַר

of the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

 

כֹּה

Thus saith

אָמַ֞ר

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֣י

 

יְהוִ֗ה

 

הִנְנִ֨י

 

אֶֽל

Behold I am against the shepherds

הָרֹעִ֖ים

and I will require

וְֽדָרַשְׁתִּ֧י

 

אֶת

my flock

צֹאנִי֙

at their hand

מִיָּדָ֗ם

and cause them to cease

וְהִשְׁבַּתִּים֙

Behold I am against the shepherds

הָרֹעִ֖ים

my flock

צֹאנִי֙

 

וְלֹא

Behold I am against the shepherds

ע֛וֹד

Behold I am against the shepherds

אוֹתָ֑ם

themselves any more for I will deliver

וְהִצַּלְתִּ֤י

my flock

צֹאנִי֙

from their mouth

מִפִּיהֶ֔ם

 

וְלֹֽא

 

תִהְיֶ֥יןָ

 

לָהֶ֖ם

that they may not be meat

לְאָכְלָֽה׃

For thus saith

אָמַ֖ר

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֣י

GOD

יְהוִ֑ה

 

הִנְנִי

 

אָ֕נִי

Behold I even I will both search

וְדָרַשְׁתִּ֥י

 

אֶת

my sheep

צֹאנִ֖י

and seek them out

וּבִקַּרְתִּֽים׃

seeketh out

כְּבַקָּרַת֩

As a shepherd

רֹעֶ֨ה

his flock

עֶדְר֜וֹ

day

בְּי֥וֹם

 

הֱיוֹת֤וֹ

that he is among

בְתוֹךְ

his sheep

צֹאנִ֑י

that are scattered

נִפְרָשׁ֔וֹת

 

כֵּ֖ן

so will I seek out

אֲבַקֵּ֣ר

 

אֶת

his sheep

צֹאנִ֑י

and will deliver

וְהִצַּלְתִּ֣י

 

אֶתְהֶ֗ם

 

מִכָּל

them out of all places

הַמְּקוֹמֹת֙

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

where they have been scattered

נָפֹ֣צוּ

 

שָׁ֔ם

day

בְּי֥וֹם

in the cloudy

עָנָ֖ן

and dark

וַעֲרָפֶֽל׃

And I will bring them out

וְהוֹצֵאתִ֣ים

 

מִן

from the people

הָעַמִּ֗ים

and gather

וְקִבַּצְתִּים֙

 

מִן

of the country

הָאָֽרֶץ׃

and will bring

וַהֲבִֽיאוֹתִ֖ים

 

אֶל

them to their own land

אַדְמָתָ֑ם

and feed

וּרְעִיתִים֙

 

אֶל

them upon the mountains

הָרֵ֣י

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

by the rivers

בָּאֲפִיקִ֕ים

 

וּבְכֹ֖ל

and in all the inhabited places

מוֹשְׁבֵ֥י

of the country

הָאָֽרֶץ׃

pasture

וּמִרְעֶ֥ה

in a good

טּ֔וֹב

I will feed

תִּרְעֶ֖ינָה

 

אֹתָ֔ם

mountains

הָרֵ֥י

and upon the high

מְרֽוֹם

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

 

יִהְיֶ֣ה

fold

בְּנָ֣וֶה

 

שָׁ֤ם

be there shall they lie

תִּרְבַּ֙צְנָה֙

fold

בְּנָ֣וֶה

in a good

טּ֔וֹב

pasture

וּמִרְעֶ֥ה

and in a fat

שָׁמֵ֛ן

I will feed

תִּרְעֶ֖ינָה

 

אֶל

mountains

הָרֵ֥י

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

 

אֲנִ֨י

I will feed

אֶרְעֶ֤ה

my flock

צֹאנִי֙

 

וַאֲנִ֣י

and I will cause them to lie down

אַרְבִּיצֵ֔ם

saith

נְאֻ֖ם

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֥י

GOD

יְהוִֽה׃

 

אֶת

that which was lost

הָאֹבֶ֤דֶת

I will seek

אֲבַקֵּשׁ֙

 

וְאֶת

that which was driven away

הַנִּדַּ֣חַת

and bring again

אָשִׁ֔יב

that which was broken

וְלַנִּשְׁבֶּ֣רֶת

and will bind up

אֶחֱבֹ֔שׁ

 

וְאֶת

that which was sick

הַחוֹלָ֖ה

and will strengthen

אֲחַזֵּ֑ק

 

וְאֶת

the fat

הַשְּׁמֵנָ֧ה

 

וְאֶת

and the strong

הַחֲזָקָ֛ה

but I will destroy

אַשְׁמִ֖יד

I will feed

אֶרְעֶ֥נָּה

them with judgment

בְמִשְׁפָּֽט׃

And as for you

וְאַתֵּ֣נָה

O my flock

צֹאנִ֔י

 

כֹּ֥ה

thus saith

אָמַ֖ר

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֣י

GOD

יְהוִ֑ה

 

הִנְנִ֤י

Behold I judge

שֹׁפֵט֙

 

בֵּֽין

and cattle

לָשֶׂ֔ה

and cattle

לָשֶׂ֔ה

between the rams

לָאֵילִ֖ים

and the he goats

וְלָעַתּוּדִֽים׃

Seemeth it a small thing

הַמְעַ֣ט

 

מִכֶּ֗ם

of your pastures

מִרְעֵיכֶ֔ם

the good

הַטּוֹב֙

unto you to have eaten up

תִּרְע֔וּ

the residue

וְיֶ֙תֶר֙

of your pastures

מִרְעֵיכֶ֔ם

but ye must tread down

תִּרְמְס֖וּ

with your feet

בְּרַגְלֵיכֶ֖ם

of the deep

וּמִשְׁקַע

waters

מַ֣יִם

and to have drunk

תִּשְׁתּ֔וּ

 

וְאֵת֙

the residue

הַנּ֣וֹתָרִ֔ים

with your feet

בְּרַגְלֵיכֶ֖ם

but ye must foul

תִּרְפֹּשֽׂוּן׃

And as for my flock

וְצֹאנִ֑י

that which ye have trodden

מִרְמַ֤ס

with your feet

רַגְלֵיכֶ֖ם

they eat

תִּרְעֶ֔ינָה

that which ye have fouled

וּמִרְפַּ֥שׂ

with your feet

רַגְלֵיכֶ֖ם

and they drink

תִּשְׁתֶּֽינָה׃

 

לָכֵ֗ן

 

כֹּ֥ה

Therefore thus saith

אָמַ֛ר

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֥י

GOD

יְהוִ֖ה

 

אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם

 

הִנְנִי

 

אָ֕נִי

unto them Behold I even I will judge

וְשָֽׁפַטְתִּי֙

 

בֵּֽין

cattle

שֶׂ֖ה

 

בִרְיָ֔ה

 

וּבֵ֥ין

cattle

שֶׂ֖ה

and between the lean

רָזָֽה׃

 

יַ֗עַן

with side

בְּצַ֤ד

and with shoulder

וּבְכָתֵף֙

Because ye have thrust

תֶּהְדֹּ֔פוּ

with your horns

וּבְקַרְנֵיכֶ֥ם

and pushed

תְּנַגְּח֖וּ

 

כָּל

all the diseased

הַנַּחְל֑וֹת

 

עַ֣ד

 

אֲשֶׁ֧ר

till ye have scattered

הֲפִיצוֹתֶ֛ם

 

אוֹתָ֖נָה

 

אֶל

them abroad

הַחֽוּצָה׃

Therefore will I save

וְהוֹשַׁעְתִּ֣י

my flock

לְצֹאנִ֔י

 

וְלֹֽא

 

תִהְיֶ֥ינָה

 

ע֖וֹד

and they shall no more be a prey

לָבַ֑ז

and I will judge

וְשָׁ֣פַטְתִּ֔י

 

בֵּ֥ין

and cattle

לָשֶֽׂה׃

and cattle

לָשֶֽׂה׃

And I will set up

וַהֲקִמֹתִ֨י

 

עֲלֵיהֶ֜ם

he shall feed

לְרֹעֶֽה׃

one

אֶחָד֙

he shall feed

לְרֹעֶֽה׃

 

אֶתְהֶ֔ן

 

אֵ֖ת

them even my servant

עַבְדִּ֣י

דָוִ֑יד

And I the LORD

אֶהְיֶ֤ה

 

לָהֶם֙

will be their God

לֵֽאלֹהִ֔ים

and my servant

וְעַבְדִּ֥י

David

דָוִ֖ד

a prince

נָשִׂ֣יא

among

בְתוֹכָ֑ם

 

אֲנִ֥י

And I the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

have spoken

דִּבַּֽרְתִּי׃

And I will make

וְכָרַתִּ֤י

 

לָהֶם֙

with them a covenant

בְּרִ֣ית

of peace

שָׁל֔וֹם

to cease

וְהִשְׁבַּתִּ֥י

beasts

חַיָּֽה

and will cause the evil

רָעָ֖ה

 

מִן

out of the land

הָאָ֑רֶץ

and they shall dwell

וְיָשְׁב֤וּ

in the wilderness

בַמִּדְבָּר֙

safely

לָבֶ֔טַח

and sleep

וְיָשְׁנ֖וּ

in the woods

בַּיְּעָרִֽים׃

And I will make

וְנָתַתִּ֥י

 

אוֹתָ֛ם

them and the places round about

וּסְבִיב֥וֹת

my hill

גִּבְעָתִ֖י

a blessing

בְרָכָ֖ה

to come down

וְהוֹרַדְתִּ֤י

and I will cause the shower

גִּשְׁמֵ֥י

in his season

בְּעִתּ֔וֹ

and I will cause the shower

גִּשְׁמֵ֥י

a blessing

בְרָכָ֖ה

 

יִֽהְיֽוּ׃

shall yield

תִּתֵּ֣ן

And the tree

עֵ֨ץ

of the field

הַשָּׂדֶ֜ה

 

אֶת

her fruit

פִּרְי֗וֹ

and the earth

וְהָאָ֙רֶץ֙

shall yield

תִּתֵּ֣ן

her increase

יְבוּלָ֔הּ

 

וְהָי֥וּ

 

עַל

in their land

אַדְמָתָ֖ם

and they shall be safe

לָבֶ֑טַח

and shall know

וְֽיָדְע֞וּ

 

כִּי

 

אֲנִ֣י

that I am the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

when I have broken

בְּשִׁבְרִי֙

 

אֶת

the bands

מֹט֣וֹת

of their yoke

עֻלָּ֔ם

and delivered

וְהִ֨צַּלְתִּ֔ים

them out of the hand

מִיַּ֖ד

of those that served

הָעֹבְדִ֥ים

 

בָּהֶֽם׃

 

וְלֹא

 

יִהְי֨וּ

 

ע֥וֹד

And they shall no more be a prey

בַּז֙

to the heathen

לַגּוֹיִ֔ם

neither shall the beast

וְחַיַּ֥ת

of the land

הָאָ֖רֶץ

 

לֹ֣א

devour

תֹאכְלֵ֑ם

them but they shall dwell

וְיָשְׁב֥וּ

safely

לָבֶ֖טַח

 

וְאֵ֥ין

and none shall make them afraid

מַחֲרִֽיד׃

And I will raise up

וַהֲקִמֹתִ֥י

 

לָהֶ֛ם

for them a plant

מַטָּ֖ע

of renown

לְשֵׁ֑ם

 

וְלֹֽא

 

יִהְי֨וּ

 

ע֜וֹד

and they shall be no more consumed

אֲסֻפֵ֤י

with hunger

רָעָב֙

in the land

בָּאָ֔רֶץ

 

וְלֹֽא

neither bear

יִשְׂא֥וּ

 

ע֖וֹד

the shame

כְּלִמַּ֥ת

of the heathen

הַגּוֹיִֽם׃

Thus shall they know

וְיָדְע֗וּ

 

כִּ֣י

 

אֲנִ֧י

that I the LORD

יְהוָ֛ה

their God

אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֖ם

 

אִתָּ֑ם

 

וְהֵ֗מָּה

are my people

עַמִּי֙

am with them and that they even the house

בֵּ֣ית

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

saith

נְאֻ֖ם

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֥י

GOD

יְהוִֽה׃

And ye

אַתֶּ֑ם

my flock

צֹ֥אן

my flock

of my pasture

מַרְעִיתִ֖י

are men

אָדָ֣ם

And ye

אַתֶּ֑ם

 

אֲנִי֙

and I am your God

אֱלֹ֣הֵיכֶ֔ם
