וַיַּ֥עַן
Furthermore Elihu
אֱלִיה֗וּא
and said
וַיֹּאמַֽר׃
2
Hear
שִׁמְע֣וּ
O ye wise
חֲכָמִ֣ים
my words
מִלָּ֑י
unto me ye that have knowledge
וְ֝יֹדְעִ֗ים
men and give ear
הַאֲזִ֥ינוּ

לִֽי׃

כִּי
For the ear
אֹ֭זֶן
words
מִלִּ֣ין
trieth
תִּבְחָ֑ן
as the mouth
וְ֝חֵ֗ךְ
tasteth
יִטְעַ֥ם
meat
לֶאֱכֹֽל׃

to us judgment
מִשְׁפָּ֥ט
Let us choose
נִבְחֲרָה

לָּ֑נוּ
let us know

among ourselves what is good
טּֽוֹב׃

כִּֽי
hath said
אָ֭מַר
For Job
אִיּ֣וֹב
I am righteous
צָדַ֑קְתִּי
and God
וְ֝אֵ֗ל
hath taken away
הֵסִ֥יר
my judgment
מִשְׁפָּטִֽי׃

עַל
against my right
מִשְׁפָּטִ֥י
Should I lie
אֲכַזֵּ֑ב

אָנ֖וּשׁ
my wound
חִצִּ֣י

What man
גֶ֥בֶר

כְּאִיּ֑וֹב
who drinketh up
יִֽשְׁתֶּה
scorning
לַּ֥עַג
like water
כַּמָּֽיִם׃

Which goeth
וְאָרַ֣ח
in company
לְ֭חֶבְרָה

עִם
with the workers
פֹּ֣עֲלֵי
of iniquity
אָ֑וֶן

כִּֽי
For he hath said
אָ֭מַר

לֹ֣א
It profiteth
יִסְכָּן
a man

nothing that he should delight
בִּ֝רְצֹת֗וֹ

אֱלֹהִֽים׃
10

לָכֵ֤ן׀

God

If now thou hast understanding

this hearken
הַ֝אֲזִ֗ינָה

him that is most

Is it fit to say
הַאֲמֹ֣ר

לְמֶ֣לֶךְ
Thou art wicked

Ye are ungodly
