אֱמֹ֤ר

 

לָהֶם֙

 

לֹ֤א

unto them Go not up

תַֽעֲלוּ֙

 

וְלֹא

neither fight

תִלָּ֣חֲמ֔וּ

 

כִּ֥י

 

אֵינֶ֖נִּי

for I am not among

בְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑ם

 

וְלֹא֙

you lest ye be smitten

תִּנָּֽגְפ֔וּ

before

לִפְנֵ֖י

your enemies

אֹֽיְבֵיכֶֽם׃

So I spake

וָֽאֲדַבֵּ֥ר

 

אֲלֵיכֶ֖ם

 

וְלֹ֣א

unto you and ye would not hear

שְׁמַעְתֶּ֑ם

but rebelled

וַתַּמְרוּ֙

 

אֶת

against the commandment

פִּ֣י

of the LORD

יְהוָ֔ה

presumptuously

וַתָּזִ֖דוּ

and went

וַתַּֽעֲל֥וּ

into the hill

הָהָֽרָה׃

came out

וַיֵּצֵ֨א

And the Amorites

הָֽאֱמֹרִ֜י

which dwelt

הַיֹּשֵׁ֨ב

in that mountain

בָּהָ֤ר

 

הַהוּא֙

against

לִקְרַאתְכֶ֔ם

you and chased

וַיִּרְדְּפ֣וּ

 

אֶתְכֶ֔ם

 

כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר

do

תַּֽעֲשֶׂ֖ינָה

you as bees

הַדְּבֹרִ֑ים

and destroyed

וַֽיַּכְּת֥וּ

 

אֶתְכֶ֛ם

you in Seir

בְּשֵׂעִ֖יר

 

עַד

even unto Hormah

חָרְמָֽה׃

And ye returned

וַתָּשֻׁ֥בוּ

and wept

וַתִּבְכּ֖וּ

before

לִפְנֵ֣י

but the LORD

יְהוָה֙

 

וְלֹֽא

would not hearken

שָׁמַ֤ע

but the LORD

יְהוָה֙

to your voice

בְּקֹ֣לְכֶ֔ם

 

וְלֹ֥א

nor give ear

הֶֽאֱזִ֖ין

 

אֲלֵיכֶֽם׃

So ye abode

יְשַׁבְתֶּֽם׃

in Kadesh

בְקָדֵ֖שׁ

according unto the days

כַּיָּמִ֖ים

many

רַבִּ֑ים

according unto the days

כַּיָּמִ֖ים

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

So ye abode

יְשַׁבְתֶּֽם׃
