וַֽיְהִ֗י
Now it came to pass after
אַֽחֲרֵי֙
the death
מ֣וֹת

דָּוִ֛ד
was returned
שָׁ֔ב
from the slaughter
מֵֽהַכּ֖וֹת

אֶת
of the Amalekites
הָעֲמָלֵ֑ק
had abode
וַיֵּ֧שֶׁב
and David
דָּוִ֛ד
in Ziklag
בְּצִֽקְלָ֖ג
days
יָמִ֥ים
two
שְׁנָֽיִם׃

וַיְהִ֣י׀
day
בַּיּ֣וֹם
It came even to pass on the third
הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֗י

וְהִנֵּה֩
that behold a man
אִ֨ישׁ
and so it was when he came
בְּבֹא֣וֹ

מִן
out of the camp
הַֽמַּחֲנֶה֙

מֵעִ֣ם
from Saul
שָׁא֔וּל
with his clothes
וּבְגָדָ֣יו

וַֽאֲדָמָ֖ה

עַל
upon his head
רֹאשׁ֑וֹ

וַֽיְהִי֙
and so it was when he came
בְּבֹא֣וֹ

אֶל
to David
דָּוִ֔ד
that he fell
וַיִּפֹּ֥ל
to the earth
אַ֖רְצָה
and did obeisance
וַיִּשְׁתָּֽחוּ׃

said
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר

לוֹ֙
And David

unto him How
