unto his flock

צֹאנֽוֹ׃

לָהֶ֗ן

that with all my power

were ringstraked

עֲקֻדִּ֥ים

וּבְרֻדִּֽים׃

And I said

וָֽאֹמַ֖ר

 

אֵלַ֜י

And the angel

מַלְאַ֧ךְ

of God

הָֽאֱלֹהִ֛ים

unto me in a dream

בַּֽחֲל֖וֹם

saying Jacob

יַֽעֲקֹ֑ב

And I said

וָֽאֹמַ֖ר

 

הִנֵּֽנִי׃

And he said

וַיֹּ֗אמֶר

Lift up

שָׂא

 

נָ֨א

now thine eyes

עֵינֶ֤יךָ

and see

רָאִ֔יתִי

 

כָּל

all the rams

הָֽעַתֻּדִים֙

which leap

הָֽעֹלִ֣ים

upon the cattle

are ringstraked

עֲקֻדִּ֥ים

אֲנִ֣י

 

וָאָ֑תָּה

 

וְהָיָ֥ה

I and thou and let it be for a witness

לְעֵ֖ד

 

בֵּינִ֥י

 

וּבֵינֶֽךָ׃

took

וַיִּקַּ֥ח

And Jacob

יַֽעֲקֹ֖ב

a stone

אָ֑בֶן

and set it up

וַיְרִימֶ֖הָ

for a pillar

מַצֵּבָֽה׃

said

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר

And Jacob

יַֽעֲקֹ֤ב

unto his brethren

לְאֶחָיו֙

Gather

לִקְט֣וּ

stones

אֲבָנִ֖ים

and they took

וַיִּקְח֥וּ

stones

אֲבָנִ֖ים

and made

וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ

an heap

הַגָּֽל׃

and they did eat

וַיֹּ֥אכְלוּ

 

שָׁ֖ם

 

עַל

an heap

הַגָּֽל׃

called

קָ֥רָא

 

ל֣וֹ

And Laban

לָבָ֔ן

 

יְגַ֖ר

it Jegarsahadutha

שָֽׂהֲדוּתָ֑א

but Jacob

וְיַֽעֲקֹ֔ב

called

קָ֥רָא

 

ל֖וֹ

it Galeed

גַּלְעֵֽד׃

said

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר

And Laban

לָבָ֔ן

This heap

הַגַּ֨ל

 

הַזֶּ֥ה

is a witness

עֵ֛ד

 

בֵּינִ֥י

 

וּבֵֽינְךָ֖

between me and thee this day

הַיּ֑וֹם

 

עַל

 

כֵּ֥ן

of it called

קָרָֽא

Therefore was the name

שְׁמ֖וֹ

Galeed

גַּלְעֵֽד׃

And Mizpah

וְהַמִּצְפָּה֙

for

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

he said

The LORD

תְּעַנֶּ֣ה

or if thou shalt take

תִּקַּ֤ח

other wives

נָשִׁים֙

beside

עַל

my daughters

בְּנֹתַ֔י

 

אֵ֥ין

no man

אִ֖ישׁ

 

עִמָּ֑נוּ

is with us see

רְאֵ֕ה

God

אֱלֹהִ֥ים

is witness

עֵ֖ד

 

בֵּינִ֥י

 

וּבֵינֶֽךָ׃

said

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר

לָבָ֖ן

to Jacob

לְיַֽעֲקֹ֑ב

 

הִנֵּ֣ה׀

Behold this heap

הַגַּ֣ל

 

הַזֶּ֗ה

 

וְהִנֵּה֙

and behold this pillar

הַמַּצֵּבָ֔ה

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

which I have cast

יָרִ֖יתִי

 

בֵּינִ֥י

 

וּבֵינֶֽךָ׃

be witness

עֵ֚ד

הַגַּ֥ל

וְעֵדָ֖ה

וַיֹּ֣אכְלוּ

לֶ֔חֶם

and they did eat

וַיֹּ֣אכְלוּ

bread

לֶ֔חֶם

and tarried all night

וַיָּלִ֖ינוּ

in the mount

בָּהָֽר׃

And early

וַיַּשְׁכֵּ֨ם

Laban

לָבָ֖ן

in the morning

בַּבֹּ֗קֶר

and kissed

וַיְנַשֵּׁ֧ק

his sons

לְבָנָ֛יו

and his daughters

וְלִבְנוֹתָ֖יו

and blessed

וַיְבָ֣רֶךְ

 

אֶתְהֶ֑ם

 

וַיֵּ֛לֶךְ

and returned

וַיָּ֥שָׁב

Laban

לָבָ֖ן

unto his place

לִמְקֹמֽוֹ׃
