therefore hear

וְשָׁמַעְתָּ֤

at my mouth

מִפִּי֙

דָּבָ֔ר

and give them warning

וְהִזְהַרְתָּ֥

 

אוֹתָ֖ם

 

מִמֶּֽנִּי׃

When I say

בְּאָמְרִ֤י

from his wicked

רָשָׁע֙

Thou shalt surely

יָמ֔וּת

and thou givest him not warning

לְהַזְהִ֥יר

 

וְלֹ֥א

nor speakest

דִבַּ֛רְתָּ

מִדַּרְכּ֥וֹ

from his wicked

to save his life

לְחַיֹּת֑וֹ

 

ה֤וּא

from his wicked

in his iniquity

בַּעֲוֺנ֣וֹ

Thou shalt surely

יָמ֔וּת

but his blood

וְדָמ֖וֹ

at thine hand

מִיָּדְךָ֥

will I require

אֲבַקֵּֽשׁ׃

 

וְאַתָּה֙

Yet if thou warn

הִזְהַ֣רְתָּ

nor from his wicked

הָרְשָׁעָ֑ה

 

וְלֹא

and he turn

שָׁב֙

not from his wickedness

מֵֽרִשְׁע֔וֹ

way

וּמִדַּרְכּ֖וֹ

nor from his wicked

הָרְשָׁעָ֑ה

 

ה֚וּא

in his iniquity

בַּעֲוֺנ֣וֹ

he shall die

יָמ֔וּת

 

וְאַתָּ֖ה

 

אֶֽת

thy soul

נַפְשְׁךָ֥

but thou hast delivered

הִצַּֽלְתָּ׃

וּבְשׁ֨וּב

When a righteous

צַדִּ֤יק

from his righteousness

מִצִּדְקוֹ֙

and commit

עָשָׂ֔ה

iniquity

עָ֔וֶל

and I lay

וְנָתַתִּ֥י

a stumblingblock

מִכְשׁ֛וֹל

before

לְפָנָ֖יו

 

ה֣וּא

he shall die

יָמ֔וּת

 

כִּ֣י

 

לֹ֤א

because thou hast not given him warning

הִזְהַרְתּוֹ֙

in his sin

בְּחַטָּאת֣וֹ

he shall die

יָמ֔וּת

 

וְלֹ֣א

shall not be remembered

תִזָּכַ֗רְןָ

and his righteousness

צִדְקֹתָו֙

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

and commit

עָשָׂ֔ה

but his blood

וְדָמ֖וֹ

at thine hand

מִיָּדְךָ֥

will I require

אֲבַקֵּֽשׁ׃

 

וְאַתָּ֞ה

Nevertheless if thou warn

תֵצֵ֖א

בְּתוֹכָֽם׃

And I will make thy tongue

וּלְשֽׁוֹנְךָ֙

cleave

אַדְבִּ֣יק

to the roof of thy mouth

חִכֶּ֔ךָ

that thou shalt be dumb

וְנֶֽאֱלַ֔מְתָּ

 

וְלֹא

 

תִֽהְיֶ֥ה

 

לָהֶ֖ם

and shalt not be to them a reprover

לְאִ֣ישׁ

 

מוֹכִ֑יחַ
