O Lord

thou knowest

יָדָֽעְתָּ׃

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣

 

אֵלַ֔י

unto me Prophesy

הִנָּבֵ֖א

 

עַל

bones

הָעֲצָמוֹת֙

 

הָאֵ֑לֶּה

Again he said

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣

 

אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם

bones

הָעֲצָמוֹת֙

unto them O ye dry

הַיְבֵשׁ֔וֹת

hear

שִׁמְע֖וּ

the word

דְּבַר

of the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

 

כֹּ֤ה

Thus saith

אָמַר֙

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֣י

GOD

יְהוִ֔ה

unto these bones

לָעֲצָמ֖וֹת

 

הָאֵ֑לֶּה

 

הִנֵּ֨ה

 

אֲנִ֜י

to enter

מֵבִ֥יא

 

בָכֶ֛ם

Behold I will cause breath

ר֖וּחַ

into you and ye shall live

וִחְיִיתֶֽם׃

And I will lay

וְנָתַתִּ֥י

 

עֲלֵיכֶ֨ם

sinews

גִּידִ֜ים

upon you and will bring up

וְֽהַעֲלֵתִ֧י

 

עֲלֵיכֶ֣ם

flesh

בָּשָׂ֗ר

upon you and cover

וְקָרַמְתִּ֤י

 

עֲלֵיכֶם֙

you with skin

ע֔וֹר

And I will lay

וְנָתַתִּ֥י

 

בָכֶ֛ם

breath

ר֖וּחַ

in you and ye shall live

וִחְיִיתֶ֑ם

and ye shall know

וִידַעְתֶּ֖ם

 

כִּֽי

 

אֲנִ֥י

that I am the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

So I prophesied

כְּהִנָּֽבְאִי֙

 

כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר

as I was commanded

צֻוֵּ֑יתִי

 

וַֽיְהִי

there was a noise

ק֤וֹל

So I prophesied

כְּהִנָּֽבְאִי֙

 

וְהִנֵּה

and behold a shaking

רַ֔עַשׁ

came together

וַתִּקְרְב֣וּ

and the bones

עַצְמֽוֹ׃

and the bones

עַצְמֽוֹ׃

 

אֶל

and the bones

עַצְמֽוֹ׃

And when I beheld

וְרָאִ֜יתִי

 

וְהִנֵּֽה

 

עֲלֵיהֶ֤ם

lo the sinews

גִּדִים֙

and the flesh

וּבָשָׂ֣ר

came up

עָלָ֔ה

covered

וַיִּקְרַ֧ם

 

עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם

upon them and the skin

ע֖וֹר

them above

מִלְמָ֑עְלָה

but there was no breath

וְר֖וּחַ

 

אֵ֥ין

 

בָּהֶֽם׃

Then said

אָמַ֣ר׀

 

אֵלַ֔י

he unto me Prophesy

הִנָּבֵ֣א

 

אֶל

O breath

הָר֔וּחַ

upon these slain

בַּהֲרוּגִ֥ים

 

הָאֵ֖לֶּה

that they may live

וְיִֽחְיֽוּ׃

So I prophesied

וְהִנַּבֵּ֖אתִי

 

כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר

as he commanded

צִוָּ֑נִי

came

וַתָּבוֹא֩

 

בָהֶ֨ם

me and the breath

הָר֜וּחַ

into them and they lived

וַיִּֽחְי֗וּ

and stood up

וַיַּֽעַמְדוּ֙

 

עַל

upon their feet

רַגְלֵיהֶ֔ם

Then he said

אֹמְרִ֗ים

are the whole house

בֵּ֥ית

of Israel

Then he said

אֹמְרִ֗ים

are dried

יָבְשׁ֧וּ

Our bones

עַצְמוֹתֵ֛ינוּ

is lost

וְאָבְדָ֥ה

and our hope

תִקְוָתֵ֖נוּ

we are cut off

נִגְזַ֥רְנוּ

 

לָֽנוּ׃

Therefore prophesy

הִנָּבֵ֨א

and say

אָמַר֮

 

אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם

 

כֹּֽה

and say

אָמַר֮

the Lord

אֲדֹנָ֣י

GOD

יְהוִה֒

 

הִנֵּה֩

 

אֲנִ֨י

I will open

פֹתֵ֜חַ

 

אֶת

out of your graves

מִקִּבְרוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם

and cause you to come up

וְהַעֲלֵיתִ֥י

 

אֶתְכֶ֛ם

out of your graves

מִקִּבְרוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם

Behold O my people

עַמִּ֑י

and bring

וְהֵבֵאתִ֥י

 

אֶתְכֶ֖ם

 

אֶל

you into the land

אַדְמַ֥ת

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

And ye shall know

וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם

 

כִּֽי

 

אֲנִ֣י

that I am the LORD

יְהוָ֑ה

when I have opened

בְּפִתְחִ֣י

 

אֶת

out of your graves

מִקִּבְרוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם

and brought you up

וּבְהַעֲלוֹתִ֥י

 

אֶתְכֶ֛ם

out of your graves

מִקִּבְרוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם

O my people

עַמִּֽי׃

And shall put

וְנָתַתִּ֨י

my spirit

רוּחִ֤י

 

בָכֶם֙

in you and ye shall live

וִחְיִיתֶ֔ם

and I shall place

וְהִנַּחְתִּ֥י

 

אֶתְכֶ֖ם

 

עַל

you in your own land

אַדְמַתְכֶ֑ם

then shall ye know

וִידַעְתֶּ֞ם

 

כִּי

 

אֲנִ֧י

that I the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

have spoken

דִּבַּ֥רְתִּי

it and performed

וְעָשִׂ֖יתִי

it saith

נְאֻם

And the sticks

הָעֵצִ֜ים

whereon thou writest

תִּכְתֹּ֧ב

 

עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם

shall be in thine hand

בְּיָדְךָ֖

before their eyes

לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃

And say

וְדַבֵּ֣ר

 

אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם

Behold I will take

לֹקֵ֙חַ֙

the children

בְּנֵ֣י

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל

from among

מִבֵּ֥ין

the heathen

הַגּוֹיִ֖ם

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

whither they be gone

הָֽלְכוּ

 

שָׁ֑ם

and will gather

וְקִבַּצְתִּ֤י

 

אֹתָם֙

them on every side

מִסָּבִ֔יב

and bring

וְהֵבֵאתִ֥י

 

אוֹתָ֖ם

 

אֶל

them into their own land

אַדְמָתָֽם׃

And I will make

וְעָשִׂ֣יתִי

 

אֹ֠תָם

nor with their detestable things

nor with any of their transgressions

פִּשְׁעֵיהֶ֑ם

but I will save

וְהוֹשַׁעְתִּ֣י

 

אֹתָ֗ם

 

מִכֹּ֤ל

them out of all their dwellingplaces

מוֹשְׁבֹֽתֵיהֶם֙

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

wherein they have sinned

חָטְא֣וּ

 

בָהֶ֔ם

and will cleanse

וְטִהַרְתִּ֤י

 

אוֹתָם֙

 

וְהָיוּ

 

לִ֣י

them so shall they be my people

לְעָ֔ם

 

וַאֲנִ֕י

 

אֶהְיֶ֥ה

 

לָהֶ֖ם

and I will be their God

לֵאלֹהִֽים׃

my servant

וְעַבְדִּ֤י

דָוִד֙

shall be king
