לְאָֽבֶן׃

 

וַיְהִ֖י

And it came to pass about ten

כַּֽעֲשֶׂ֣רֶת

days

הַיָּמִ֑ים

וַיִּגֹּ֧ף

after that the LORD

נָבָ֖ל

that he died

וַיָּמֹֽת׃

וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע

And David

דָּוִד֙

was dead

מֵ֣ת

of Nabal

נָבָ֔ל

he said

וַיֹּ֡אמֶר

Blessed

בָּר֣וּךְ

be the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

that hath pleaded

רָב֩

 

אֶת

the cause

רִ֨יב

of my reproach

חֶרְפָּתִ֜י

from the hand

מִיַּ֣ד

of Nabal

נָבָ֔ל

 

וְאֶת

his servant

עַבְדּוֹ֙

and hath kept

חָשַׂ֣ךְ

from evil

רָעַ֣ת

 

וְאֵת֙

from evil

רָעַ֣ת

of Nabal

נָבָ֔ל

hath returned

הֵשִׁ֥יב

be the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

upon his own head

בְּרֹאשׁ֑וֹ

sent

וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח

And David

דָּוִד֙

and communed

וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר

with Abigail

בַּֽאֲבִיגַ֔יִל

to take

לְקַחְתָּ֥הּ

 

ל֖וֹ

her to him to wife

לְאִשָּֽׁה׃

were come

וַיָּבֹ֜אוּ

And when the servants

עַבְדֵ֥י

דָּוִד֙

 

אֶל

to Abigail

אֲבִיגַ֖יִל

to Carmel

הַכַּרְמֶ֑לָה

they spake

וַיְדַבְּר֤וּ

 

אֵלֶ֙יהָ֙

unto her saying

לֵאמֹ֔ר

שְׁלָחָ֣נוּ

 

אֵלַ֔יִךְ

us unto thee to take

לְקַחְתֵּ֥ךְ

thee to him to wife

לְאִשָּֽׁה׃

And she arose

וַתָּ֕קָם

וַתִּשְׁתַּ֥חוּ

herself on her face

אַפַּ֖יִם

to the earth

אָ֑רְצָה

and said

הִנֵּ֤ה

Behold let thine handmaid

אֲמָֽתְךָ֙

לְשִׁפְחָ֔ה

לִרְחֹ֕ץ

the feet

רַגְלֵ֖י

וַתְּמַהֵ֞ר

וַתִּרְכַּב֙

הַחֲמ֔וֹר

וְחָמֵשׁ֙

damsels

נַֽעֲרֹתֶ֔יהָ

of hers that went

וַתֵּ֗לֶךְ

לְרַגְלָ֑הּ

of hers that went

וַתֵּ֗לֶךְ

after

אַֽחֲרֵי֙

the messengers

מַלְאֲכֵ֣י
