he shall go over

לְפָנֶ֔יךָ

 

הֽוּא

thee and he will destroy

יַשְׁמִ֞יד

thee and thou shalt possess

וִֽירִשְׁתָּ֑ם

them and Joshua

and unto the land

וּלְאַרְצָ֑ם

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

of them whom he destroyed

הִשְׁמִ֖יד

 

אֹתָֽם׃

shall give them up

וּנְתָנָ֥ם

יְהוָ֖ה

before your face

לִפְנֵיכֶ֑ם

that ye may do

וַֽעֲשִׂיתֶ֣ם

unto them according unto all the commandments

הַמִּצְוָ֔ה

which I have commanded

Be strong

חִזְק֣וּ

and of a good courage

וְאִמְצ֔וּ

fear

תִּֽירְא֥וּ

not nor be afraid

unto him in the sight

לְעֵינֵ֣י

of all Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵל֮

Be strong

חֲזַ֣ק

and of a good courage

וֶֽאֱמָץ֒

אַתָּ֗ה

for thou must go

הָעָ֣ם

unto the land

לַֽאֲבֹתָ֖ם

to give

them and thou shalt cause them to inherit

Behold thou shalt sleep

שֹׁכֵ֖ב

with thy fathers

אֲבֹתֶ֑יךָ

will rise up

וְקָם֩

and this people

הָעָ֨ם

 

הַזֶּ֜ה

and go a whoring

וְזָנָ֣ה׀

after

אַֽחֲרֵ֣י׀

the gods

אֱלֹהֵ֣י

of the strangers

נֵֽכַר

of the land

הָאָ֗רֶץ

 

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

 

ה֤וּא

whither they go

בָא

 

שָׁ֙מָּה֙

to be among

בְּקִרְבּ֔וֹ

them and will forsake

וַֽעֲזָבַ֕נִי

me and break

וְהֵפֵר֙

 

אֶת

my covenant

בְּרִיתִ֔י

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

which I have made

כָּרַ֖תִּי

 

אִתּֽוֹ׃

shall be kindled

וְחָרָ֣ה

Then my anger

אַפִּ֣י

 

ב֣וֹ

against them in that day

בַּיּ֣וֹם

 

הַ֠הוּא

and I will forsake

וַֽעֲזַבְתִּ֞ים

them and I will hide

וְהִסְתַּרְתִּ֨י

my face

פָנַ֤י

 

מֵהֶם֙

 

וְהָיָ֣ה

from them and they shall be devoured

לֶֽאֱכֹ֔ל

come

מְצָא֖וּנִי

Are not these evils

הָֽרָע֥וֹת

and many

רַבּ֖וֹת

and troubles

וְצָר֑וֹת

them so that they will say

וְאָמַר֙

against them in that day

בַּיּ֣וֹם

 

הַה֔וּא

 

הֲלֹ֗א

 

עַ֣ל

 

כִּי

 

אֵ֤ין

upon us because our God

אֱלֹהַי֙

is not among

בְּקִרְבִּ֔י

come

מְצָא֖וּנִי

Are not these evils

הָֽרָע֥וֹת

 

הָאֵֽלֶּה׃

 

וְאָֽנֹכִ֗י

 

הַסְתֵּ֨ר

And I will surely

אַסְתִּ֤יר

my face

פָּנַי֙

in that day

בַּיּ֣וֹם

 

הַה֔וּא

 

עַ֥ל

 

כָּל

for all the evils

הָֽרָעָ֖ה

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

which they shall have wrought

עָשָׂ֑ה

in that

כִּ֣י

they are turned

פָנָ֔ה

 

אֶל

gods

אֱלֹהִ֖ים

unto other

אֲחֵרִֽים׃

 

וְעַתָּ֗ה

לְעֵ֖ד

for me against the children

בִּבְנֵ֥י

For when I shall have brought

אֲבִיאֶ֜נּוּ

 

אֶֽל

them into the land

הָאֲדָמָ֣ה׀

 

אֲשֶׁר

which I sware

נִשְׁבַּ֣עְתִּי

unto their fathers

לַֽאֲבֹתָ֗יו

that floweth

זָבַ֤ת

with milk

חָלָב֙

and honey

וּדְבַ֔שׁ

and they shall have eaten

וְאָכַ֥ל

and filled

וְשָׂבַ֖ע

themselves and waxen fat

וְדָשֵׁ֑ן

then will they turn

וּפָנָ֞ה

gods

אֱלֹהִ֤ים

unto other

אֲחֵרִים֙

and serve

וַֽעֲבָד֔וּם

them and provoke

וְנִ֣אֲצ֔וּנִי

me and break

And it shall come to pass when many

and troubles

וְצָרוֹת֒

לְפָנָיו֙

them as a witness

לְעֵ֔ד

לֹ֥א

for it shall not be forgotten

תִשָּׁכַ֖ח

out of the mouths

of their seed

הַלְוִיִּ֔ם

the ark

Take

לָקֹ֗חַ

this book

סֵ֤פֶר

of the law

הַתּוֹרָה֙

and put

וְשַׂמְתֶּ֣ם

it in the side

מִצַּ֛ד

of the ark

אֲר֥וֹן

of the covenant

בְּרִית

of the LORD

יְהוָ֖ה

your God

אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֑ם

בְּךָ֖

that it may be there for a witness

לְעֵֽד׃

For I know

thy rebellion

מֶרְיְךָ֔

neck

עָרְפְּךָ֖

and thy stiff

הַקָּשֶׁ֑ה

בְּעוֹדֶנִּי֩

behold while I am yet alive

עִמָּכֶ֜ם

הַיּ֗וֹם

ye have been rebellious

מַמְרִ֤ים

against the LORD
