Speak

דַּבֵּר֮

 

אֶל

unto the children

בְּנֵ֣י

of Israel

יִשְׂרָאֵל֒

When a man

אִ֣ישׁ

 

אֽוֹ

or woman

אִשָּׁ֗ה

 

כִּ֤י

shall commit

יַֽעֲשׂוּ֙

 

מִכָּל

any sin

חַטֹּ֣את

that men

הָֽאָדָ֔ם

commit

לִמְעֹ֥ל

to do a trespass

מַ֖עַל

against the LORD

בַּֽיהוָ֑ה

be guilty

וְאָֽשְׁמָ֖ה

and that person

הַנֶּ֥פֶשׁ

 

הַהִֽוא׃

Then they shall confess

וְהִתְוַדּ֗וּ

 

אֶֽת

their sin

חַטָּאתָם֮

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

which they have done

עָשׂוּ֒

and he shall recompense

וְהֵשִׁ֤יב

 

אֶת

his trespass

אֲשָׁמוֹ֙

with the principal

בְּרֹאשׁ֔וֹ

unto it the fifth

וַחֲמִֽישִׁת֖וֹ

thereof and add

יֹסֵ֣ף

 

עָלָ֑יו

part thereof and give

וְנָתַ֕ן

 

לַֽאֲשֶׁ֖ר

it unto him against whom he hath trespassed

אָשַׁ֥ם

 

לֽוֹ׃

 

וְאִם

 

אֵ֨ין

But if the man

לָאִ֜ישׁ

have no kinsman

גֹּאֵ֗ל

be recompensed

הַמּוּשָׁ֥ב

the trespass

הָֽאָשָׁ֛ם

 

אֵלָ֔יו

הַמּוּשָׁ֥ב

unto the LORD

לַֽיהוָ֖ה

even to the priest

לַכֹּהֵ֑ן

 

מִלְּבַ֗ד

אֵ֚יל

of the atonement

הַכִּפֻּרִ֔ים

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

whereby an atonement shall be made

יְכַפֶּר

 

בּ֖וֹ

And every offering

תְּרוּמָ֞ה

 

לְכָל

of all the holy things

קָדְשֵׁ֧י

of the children

בְנֵֽי

of Israel

which they bring

יַקְרִ֥יבוּ

unto the priest

And every man's

וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֖

 

אֲלֵהֶ֑ם

אִישָׁ֔הּ

and be kept close

וְנִסְתְּרָ֖ה

 

וְהִ֣יא

and she be defiled

נִטְמָ֑אָה

and there be no witness

וְעֵד֙

בָּ֔הּ

 

וְהִ֖וא

 

לֹ֥א

against her neither she be taken

נִתְפָּֽשָׂה׃

הַמָּרִ֖ים

הַמְאָֽרֲרִֽים׃

shall charge her by an oath

וְהִשְׁבִּ֨יעַ

and say

וְאָמַ֤ר

 

אֶל

unto the woman

הָֽאִשָּׁה֙

 

אִם

 

לֹ֨א

have lain

שָׁכַ֥ב

If no man

אִישֵׁ֑ךְ

 

אֹתָ֔ךְ

 

וְאִם

 

לֹ֥א

with thee and if thou hast not gone aside

שָׂטִ֛ית

to uncleanness

טֻמְאָ֖ה

 

תַּ֣חַת

If no man

אִישֵׁ֑ךְ

be thou free

הִנָּקִ֕י

water

מִמֵּ֛י

from this bitter

הַמָּרִ֥ים

that causeth the curse

הַֽמְאָרֲרִ֖ים

 

הָאֵֽלֶּה׃

and some man

אִישֵֽׁךְ׃

שְׁכָבְתּ֔וֹ

with thee beside

מִֽבַּלְעֲדֵ֖י

and some man

אִישֵֽׁךְ׃

shall charge

וְהִשְׁבִּ֨יעַ

הַכֹּהֵן֙

the woman

לָֽאִשָּׁ֔ה

and an oath

וְלִשְׁבֻעָ֖ה

of cursing

לְאָלָ֥ה

shall say

וְאָמַ֤ר

Then the priest

הַכֹּהֵן֙

the woman

לָֽאִשָּׁ֔ה

doth make

בְּתֵ֨ת

The LORD

יְהוָ֤ה

 

אוֹתָ֛ךְ

of cursing

לְאָלָ֥ה

and an oath

וְלִשְׁבֻעָ֖ה

among

בְּת֣וֹךְ

thy people

עַמֵּ֑ךְ

doth make

בְּתֵ֨ת

The LORD

יְהוָ֤ה

 

אֶת

thy thigh

יְרֵכֵךְ֙

to rot

נֹפֶ֔לֶת

 

וְאֶת

and thy belly

בִּטְנֵ֖ךְ

to swell

צָבָֽה׃

shall go

וּ֠בָאוּ

And this water

הַמַּ֨יִם

that causeth the curse

הַמְאָֽרְרִ֤ים

 

הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙

into thy bowels

בְּֽמֵעַ֔יִךְ

to swell

לַצְבּ֥וֹת

to make thy belly

בֶּ֖טֶן

to rot

וְלַנְפִּ֣ל

and thy thigh

יָרֵ֑ךְ

shall say

וְאָֽמְרָ֥ה

And the woman

הָֽאִשָּׁ֖ה

Amen

אָמֵֽן׃

Amen

וְ֠כָתַב

these curses

הָֽאָלֹ֥ת

 

הָאֵ֛לֶּה

And the priest

הַכֹּהֵ֖ן

in a book

בַּסֵּ֑פֶר

and he shall blot

וּמָחָ֖ה

 

אֶל

water

מֵ֥י

them out with the bitter

הַמָּרִֽים׃

to drink

וְהִשְׁקָה֙

 

אֶת

And he shall cause the woman

הָ֣אִשָּׁ֔ה

 

אֶת

and the water

הַמַּ֥יִם

into her and become bitter

לְמָרִֽים׃

that causeth the curse

הַֽמְאָרֲרִ֖ים

shall enter

and shall wave

וְהֵנִ֤יף

it upon the altar

הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃

shall take an handful

וְקָמַ֨ץ

And the priest

הַכֹּהֵ֤ן

even the memorial

אַזְכָּ֣רָתָ֔הּ

thereof and burn

וְהִקְטִ֖יר

it upon the altar

הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חָה

And when he hath made her to drink

then it shall come to pass that if she be defiled

and have done

וַתִּמְעֹ֣ל

against her husband

בְּאִישָׁהּ֒

shall enter

וּבָ֨אוּ

 

בָ֜הּ

that the water

הַמַּ֤יִם

that causeth the curse

הַמְאָֽרֲרִים֙

into her and become bitter

לְמָרִ֔ים

shall swell

וְצָֽבְתָ֣ה

and her belly

בִטְנָ֔הּ

shall rot

וְנָֽפְלָ֖ה

and her thigh

יְרֵכָ֑הּ

 

וְהָֽיְתָ֧ה

and the woman

הָֽאִשָּׁ֛ה

shall be a curse

לְאָלָ֖ה

among

בְּקֶ֥רֶב

her people

עַמָּֽהּ׃

 

וְאִם

 

לֹ֤א

be not defiled

נִטְמְאָה֙

And if the woman

הָֽאִשָּׁ֔ה

but be clean

וּטְהֹרָ֖ה

 

הִ֑וא

then she shall be free

וְנִקְּתָ֖ה

and shall conceive

וְנִזְרְעָ֥ה

seed

זָֽרַע׃

 

זֹ֥את

This is the law

תּוֹרַ֖ת

of jealousies

הַקְּנָאֹ֑ת

 

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

goeth aside

תִּשְׂטֶ֥ה

when a wife

אִשָּׁ֛ה

 

תַּ֥חַת

to another instead of her husband

אִישָׁ֖הּ

and is defiled

וְנִטְמָֽאָה׃

upon him

אִ֗ישׁ

 

אֲשֶׁ֨ר

cometh

תַּֽעֲבֹ֥ר

 

עָלָ֛יו

Or when the spirit

Then shall the man

הָאִ֖ישׁ

from iniquity

עֲוֹנָֽהּ׃

וְהָֽאִשָּׁ֣ה

and this

הַהִ֔וא

shall bear

תִּשָּׂ֖א
