and on all thy people

עַמֶּ֑ךָ

הַיּ֥וֹם

of the kings

מַלְכֵ֣י

of Assyria

אַשּׁ֔וּר

 

עַ֖ד

since the time

הַיּ֥וֹם

 

הַזֶּֽה׃

 

וְאַתָּ֣ה

Howbeit thou art just

צַדִּ֔יק

 

עַ֖ל

 

כָּל

in all that is brought

הַבָּ֣א

 

עָלֵ֑ינוּ

 

כִּֽי

right

אֱמֶ֥ת

upon us for thou hast done

עָשִׂ֖יתָ

 

וַֽאֲנַ֥חְנוּ

but we have done wickedly

הִרְשָֽׁעְנוּ׃

 

וְאֶת

Neither have our kings

מְלָכֵ֤ינוּ

our princes

שָׂרֵ֙ינוּ֙

our priests

כֹּֽהֲנֵ֣ינוּ

nor our fathers

וַֽאֲבֹתֵ֔ינוּ

 

לֹ֥א

kept

עָשׂ֖וּ

thy law

תּֽוֹרָתֶ֑ךָ

 

וְלֹ֤א

nor hearkened

הִקְשִׁ֙יבוּ֙

 

אֶל

unto thy commandments

מִצְוֹתֶ֔יךָ

and thy testimonies

וּלְעֵ֣דְוֹתֶ֔יךָ

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

wherewith thou didst testify

הַֽעִידֹ֖תָ

 

בָּהֶֽם׃

 

וְהֵ֣ם

thee in their kingdom

בְּמַלְכוּתָם֩

goodness

וּבְטֽוּבְךָ֙

and in thy great

הָרָ֜ב

 

אֲשֶׁר

that thou gavest

נָתַ֥תָּ

 

לָהֶ֗ם

land

וּבְאֶ֨רֶץ

them and in the large

הָֽרְחָבָ֧ה

and fat

וְהַשְּׁמֵנָ֛ה

 

אֲשֶׁר

that thou gavest

נָתַ֥תָּ

before

לִפְנֵיהֶ֖ם

 

לֹ֣א

For they have not served

עֲבָד֑וּךָ

 

וְֽלֹא

them neither turned

שָׁ֔בוּ

works

מִמַּֽעַלְלֵיהֶ֖ם

they from their wicked

הָֽרָעִֽים׃

 

הִנֵּ֛ה

 

אֲנַ֥חְנוּ

this day

הַיּ֖וֹם

Behold we are servants

עֲבָדִ֖ים

and for the land

וְהָאָ֜רֶץ

 

אֲשֶׁר

that thou gavest

נָתַ֣תָּה

unto our fathers

לַֽאֲבֹתֵ֗ינוּ

to eat

לֶֽאֱכֹ֤ל

 

אֶת

the fruit

פִּרְיָהּ֙

 

וְאֶת

thereof and the good

טוּבָ֔הּ

 

הִנֵּ֛ה

 

אֲנַ֥חְנוּ

Behold we are servants

עֲבָדִ֖ים

 

עָלֶֽיהָ׃

increase

וּתְבֽוּאָתָ֣הּ

And it yieldeth much

מַרְבָּ֗ה

unto the kings

לַמְּלָכִ֛ים

 

אֲשֶׁר

whom thou hast set

נָתַ֥תָּה

 

עָלֵ֖ינוּ

over us because of our sins

בְּחַטֹּאותֵ֑ינוּ

 

וְעַ֣ל

over our bodies

גְּ֠וִיֹּתֵינוּ

also they have dominion

מֹֽשְׁלִ֤ים

and over our cattle

וּבִבְהֶמְתֵּ֙נוּ֙

at their pleasure

כִּרְצוֹנָ֔ם

distress

וּבְצָרָ֥ה

and we are in great

גְדוֹלָ֖ה

 

אֲנָֽחְנוּ׃

 

וּבְכָל

 

זֹ֕את

 

אֲנַ֛חְנוּ

And because of all this we make

כֹּֽרְתִ֥ים

a sure

אֲמָנָ֖ה

covenant and write

וְכֹֽתְבִ֑ים

 

וְעַל֙

seal

הֶֽחָת֔וּם

it and our princes

שָׂרֵ֥ינוּ

Levites

לְוִיֵּ֖נוּ

and priests

כֹּֽהֲנֵֽינוּ׃
