וָאֵ֕שְׁתְּ

 

וְגַם

the camels

הַגְּמַלִּ֖ים

and I will give

הִשְׁקָֽתָה׃

וָאֵ֕שְׁתְּ

 

וְגַ֥ם

the camels

הַגְּמַלִּ֖ים

and I will give

הִשְׁקָֽתָה׃

And I asked

וָֽאֶשְׁאַ֣ל

 

אֹתָ֗הּ

וְ֠עַתָּה

 

אִם

And now if ye will

יֶשְׁכֶ֨ם

Behold Rebekah

רִבְקָ֥ה

לְפָנֶ֖יךָ

אִשָּׁה֙

לְבֶן

and let her be thy master's

אֲדֹנֶ֔יךָ

 

כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֖ר

And it came to pass that when Abraham's

אַבְרָהָ֖ם

their words

דִּבְרֵיהֶ֑ם

he worshipped

וַיִּשְׁתַּ֥חוּ

bowing himself to the earth

אַ֖רְצָה

the LORD

לַֽיהוָֽה׃

brought forth

וַיּוֹצֵ֨א

And the servant

הָעֶ֜בֶד

and jewels

וּכְלֵ֤י

of silver

כֶ֨סֶף

and jewels

וּכְלֵ֤י

of gold

זָהָב֙

and raiment

וּבְגָדִ֔ים

and gave

נָתַ֥ן

them to Rebekah

לְרִבְקָ֑ה

precious things

וּמִ֨גְדָּנֹ֔ת

and gave

נָתַ֥ן

also to her brother

לְאָחִ֖יהָ

and to her mother

וּלְאִמָּֽהּ׃

And they did eat

וַיֹּֽאכְל֣וּ

and drink

וַיִּשְׁתּ֗וּ

 

ה֛וּא

 

וְהָֽאֲנָשִׁ֥ים

 

אֲשֶׁר

 

עִמּ֖וֹ

that were with him and tarried all night

וַיָּלִ֑ינוּ

and they rose up

וַיָּק֣וּמוּ

in the morning

בַבֹּ֔קֶר

and he said

וַיֹּ֖אמֶר

Send me away

שַׁלְּחֻ֥נִי

unto my master

לַֽאדֹנִֽי׃

said

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר

And her brother

אָחִ֙יהָ֙

and her mother

וְאִמָּ֔הּ

abide

תֵּשֵׁ֨ב

Let the damsel

הַנַּֽעֲרָ֥

 

אִתָּ֛נוּ

with us a few days

יָמִ֖ים

at the least

א֣וֹ

ten

עָשׂ֑וֹר

after

אַחַ֖ר

 

תֵּלֵֽךְ׃

And he said

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר

 

אֲלֵהֶם֙

 

אַל

unto them Hinder me

תְּאַֽחֲר֣וּ

 

אֹתִ֔י

not seeing the LORD

וַֽיהוָ֖ה

hath prospered

הִצְלִ֣יחַ

my way

דַּרְכִּ֑י

send me away

שַׁלְּח֕וּנִי

 

וְאֵֽלְכָ֖ה

to my master

לַֽאדֹנִֽי׃

And they said

וַיֹּֽאמְר֖וּ

We will call

נִקְרָ֣א

the damsel

לַֽנַּעֲרָ֑

and enquire

וְנִשְׁאֲלָ֖ה

 

אֶת

at her mouth

פִּֽיהָ׃

And they called

וַיִּקְרְא֤וּ

Rebekah

לְרִבְקָה֙

And she said

וַתֹּ֖אמֶר

 

אֵלֶ֔יהָ

 

הֲתֵֽלְכִ֖י

 

עִם

with this man

הָאִ֣ישׁ

 

הַזֶּ֑ה

And she said

וַתֹּ֖אמֶר

 

אֵלֵֽךְ׃

And they sent away

וַֽיְשַׁלְּח֛וּ

and her nurse

מֵֽנִקְתָּ֑הּ

And they blessed

וַיְבָרֲכ֤וּ

Rebekah

רִבְקָה֙

and said

וַיֹּ֣אמְרוּ

 

לָ֔הּ

art our sister

אֲחֹתֵ֕נוּ

unto her Thou

אַ֥תְּ

be thou

הֲיִ֖י

the mother of thousands

לְאַלְפֵ֣י

of millions

רְבָבָ֑ה

possess

וְיִירַ֣שׁ

and let thy seed

זַרְעֵ֔ךְ

 

אֵ֖ת

the gate

שַׁ֥עַר

of those which hate

שֹֽׂנְאָֽיו׃

arose

וַתָּ֨קָם

And Rebekah

רִבְקָ֖ה

and her damsels

וְנַֽעֲרֹתֶ֗יהָ

and they rode

וַתִּרְכַּ֙בְנָה֙

 

עַל

upon the camels

הַגְּמַלִּ֔ים

 

וַתֵּלַ֖כְנָה

 

אַֽחֲרֵ֣י

the man

הָאִ֑ישׁ

took

וַיִּקַּ֥ח

and the servant

הָעֶ֛בֶד

 

אֶת

And Rebekah

רִבְקָ֖ה

 

וַיֵּלַֽךְ׃

And Isaac

וְיִצְחָק֙

came

מִבּ֔וֹא

came

מִבּ֔וֹא

 

בְּאֵ֥ר

 

לַחַ֖י

of the well Lahairoi

רֹאִ֑י

 

וְה֥וּא

for he dwelt

יוֹשֵׁ֖ב

country

בְּאֶ֥רֶץ

in the south

הַנֶּֽגֶב׃

went out

וַיֵּצֵ֥א

And Isaac

יִצְחָ֛ק

to meditate

לָשׂ֥וּחַ

in the field

בַּשָּׂדֶ֖ה

at

לִפְנ֣וֹת

the eventide

עָ֑רֶב

and he lifted up

וַיִּשָּׂ֤א

his eyes

עֵינָיו֙

and saw

וַיַּ֔רְא

 

וְהִנֵּ֥ה

and behold the camels

גְמַלִּ֖ים

were coming

בָּאִֽים׃

lifted up

וַתִּשָּׂ֤א

And Rebekah

רִבְקָה֙

 

אֶת

her eyes

עֵינֶ֔יהָ

and when she saw

וַתֵּ֖רֶא

 

אֶת

Isaac

יִצְחָ֑ק

she lighted

וַתִּפֹּ֖ל

off

מֵעַ֥ל

the camel

הַגָּמָֽל׃

For she had said

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר

 

אֶל

And the servant

הָעֶ֖בֶד

What

מִֽי

man

הָאִ֤ישׁ

is this

הַלָּזֶה֙

that walketh

הַֽהֹלֵ֤ךְ

in the field

בַּשָּׂדֶה֙

to meet us

לִקְרָאתֵ֔נוּ

For she had said

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר

And the servant

הָעֶ֖בֶד

 

ה֣וּא

It is my master

אֲדֹנִ֑י

therefore she took

וַתִּקַּ֥ח

a vail

הַצָּעִ֖יף

and covered herself

וַתִּתְכָּֽס׃

told

וַיְסַפֵּ֥ר

And the servant

הָעֶ֖בֶד

Isaac

לְיִצְחָ֑ק

 

אֵ֥ת

 

כָּל

all things

הַדְּבָרִ֖ים

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

that he had done

עָשָֽׂה׃

brought her

וַיְבִאֶ֣הָ

And Isaac

הָאֹ֙הֱלָה֙

Sarah's

שָׂרָ֣ה

his mother's

אִמּֽוֹ׃

and took

וַיִּקַּ֧ח

 

אֶת

Rebekah

רִבְקָ֛ה

 

וַתְּהִי

 

ל֥וֹ

and she became his wife

לְאִשָּׁ֖ה

and he loved

וַיֶּֽאֱהָבֶ֑הָ

was comforted

וַיִּנָּחֵ֥ם

And Isaac

יִצְחָ֖ק

after

אַֽחֲרֵ֥י

his mother's

אִמּֽוֹ׃
