וַֽיִּתְּנֵ֖ם

 

אֵלָֽי׃

 

וַיְהִ֗י

And it came to pass when ye heard

כְּשָׁמְעֲכֶ֤ם

 

אֶת

the voice

הַקּוֹל֙

out of the midst

מִתּ֣וֹךְ

of the darkness

הַחֹ֔שֶׁךְ

for the mountain

וְהָהָ֖ר

did burn

בֹּעֵ֣ר

with fire

בָּאֵ֑שׁ

that ye came near

וַתִּקְרְב֣וּן

 

אֵלַ֔י

 

כָּל

unto me even all the heads

רָאשֵׁ֥י

of your tribes

שִׁבְטֵיכֶ֖ם

and your elders

וְזִקְנֵיכֶֽם׃

And ye said

וַתֹּֽאמְר֗וּ

 

הֵ֣ן

hath shewed

רָאִ֔ינוּ

Behold the LORD

יְהוָ֤ה

our God

אֱלֹהִ֛ים

us his glory

כְּבֹד֣וֹ

 

וְאֶת

and his greatness

his voice

קֹל֥וֹ

and we have heard

שָׁמַ֖עְנוּ

תֵּלֵ֑כוּ

 

לְמַ֤עַן

you that ye may live

תִּֽחְיוּן֙

and that it may be well

with you and that ye may prolong

your days
