כַשְׂדִּ֖ים

לַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה

 

עָלַ֖יִךְ

against thee O daughter

בַּת

of Babylon

בָּבֶֽל׃

שָׁמַ֧ע

The king

מֶֽלֶךְ

of Babylon

בָּבֶ֛ל

 

אֶת

the report

שִׁמְעָ֖ם

waxed feeble

וְרָפ֣וּ

of them and his hands

יָדָ֑יו

anguish

צָרָה֙

took hold

הֶחֱזִיקַ֔תְהוּ

of him and pangs

חִ֖יל

as of a woman in travail

כַּיּוֹלֵדָֽה׃

 

הִ֠נֵּה

like a lion

כְּאַרְיֵ֞ה

Behold he shall come up

יַעֲלֶ֨ה

from the swelling

מִגְּא֣וֹן

of Jordan

הַיַּרְדֵּן֮

 

אֶל

unto the habitation

נְוֵ֣ה

of the strong

אֵיתָן֒

 

כִּֽי

them suddenly

אַרְגִּ֤עָה

but I will make

אֲרִוצֵם֙

 

מֵֽעָלֶ֔יהָ

 

וּמִ֥י

from her and who is a chosen

בָח֖וּר

 

אֵלֶ֣יהָ

man that I may appoint

אֶפְקֹ֑ד

 

כִּ֣י

 

מִ֤י

 

כָמ֙וֹנִי֙

 

וּמִ֣י

over her for who is like me and who will appoint me the time

יוֹעִדֶ֔נִּי

 

וּמִֽי

 

זֶ֣ה

and who is that shepherd

רֹעֶ֔ה

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

that will stand

יַעֲמֹ֖ד

before

לְפָנָֽי׃

 

לָכֵ֞ן

Therefore hear

שִׁמְע֣וּ

ye the counsel

עֲצַת

of the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

 

אֲשֶׁ֤ר

that he hath taken

יָעַץ֙

 

אֶל

against Babylon

בָּבֶ֔ל

and his purposes

וּמַ֨חְשְׁבוֹתָ֔יו

 

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

that he hath purposed

חָשַׁ֖ב

 

אֶל

against the land

אֶ֣רֶץ

of the Chaldeans

כַּשְׂדִּ֑ים

 

אִם

 

לֹ֤א

shall draw them out

יִסְחָבוּם֙

Surely the least

צְעִירֵ֣י

of the flock

הַצֹּ֔אן

 

אִם

 

לֹ֥א

desolate

יַשִּׁ֛ים

 

עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם

surely he shall make their habitation

נָוֶֽה׃

At the noise

מִקּוֹל֙

of the taking

נִתְפְּשָׂ֣ה

of Babylon

בָבֶ֔ל

is moved

נִרְעֲשָׁ֖ה

the earth

הָאָ֑רֶץ

and the cry

וּזְעָקָ֖ה

among the nations

בַּגּוֹיִ֥ם

is heard

נִשְׁמָֽע׃
