them and shall pray

וְהִתְפַּֽלְל֣וּ

unto the LORD

יְהוָ֗ה

the city

הָעִיר֙

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

which thou hast chosen

בָּחַ֣רְתָּ

and toward the house

וְהַבַּ֖יִת

that I have built

Then hear

וְשָֽׁמַעְתָּ֙

thou in heaven

הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם

and their supplication

תְּחִנָּתָ֑ם

and maintain

וְעָשִׂ֖יתָ

their cause

מִשְׁפָּטָֽם׃

against thee (for there is no man

We have sinned

חָטָ֥אנוּ

and have done perversely

וְהֶֽעֱוִ֖ינוּ

we have committed wickedness

רָשָֽׁעְנוּ׃

And so return

וְשָׁ֣בוּ

 

אֵלֶ֗יךָ

 

בְּכָל

unto thee with all their heart

לְבָבָם֙

 

וּבְכָל

and with all their soul

נַפְשָׁ֔ם

in the land

אַרְצָם֙

of their enemies

אֹֽיְבֵיהֶ֖ם

 

אֲשֶׁר

which led them away captive

שָׁב֣וּ

 

אֹתָ֑ם

and pray

וְהִתְפַּֽלְל֣וּ

 

אֵלֶ֗יךָ

unto thee toward

That thine eyes

עֵינֶ֤יךָ

them from among all the people

by the hand

And it was so that when Solomon

שְׁלֹמֹ֗ה

לְהִתְפַּלֵּל֙

he arose

the altar

מִזְבַּ֤ח

of the LORD

יְהוָה֙

from kneeling

מִכְּרֹ֣עַ

 

עַל

on his knees

בִּרְכָּ֔יו

with his hands

וְכַפָּ֖יו

spread up

פְּרֻשׂ֥וֹת

to heaven

הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃

And he stood

וַֽיַּעְמֹ֕ד

and blessed

וַיְבָ֕רֶךְ

with a loud

unto his people

according to all that he promised

there hath not failed

The LORD

עִם

be with us as he was with our fathers

אֲבֹתֵ֑ינוּ

let him not leave

יַֽעַזְבֵ֖נוּ

us nor forsake

יִטְּשֵֽׁנוּ׃

That he may incline

לְהַטּ֥וֹת

our hearts

לְבָבֵ֖נוּ

לָלֶ֣כֶת

 

בְּכָל

in all his ways

דְּרָכָ֗יו

and to keep

וְלִשְׁמֹ֨ר

his commandments

מִצְוֹתָ֤יו

and his statutes

וְחֻקָּיו֙

and his judgments

וּמִשְׁפָּטָ֔יו

which he commanded

And let these my words

that he maintain

וְהָיָ֤ה

Let your heart

לְבַבְכֶם֙

therefore be perfect

שָׁלֵ֔ם

with the LORD

אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ

 

לָלֶ֧כֶת

in his statutes

בְּחֻקָּ֛יו

and to keep
