Then washed

וָאֶרְחָצֵ֣ךְ

I thee with water

בַּמַּ֔יִם

yea I throughly washed away

וָאֶשְׁטֹ֥ף

thy blood

דָּמַ֖יִךְ

 

מֵֽעָלָ֑יִךְ

from thee and I anointed

וָאֲסֻכֵ֖ךְ

thee with oil

בַּשָּֽׁמֶן׃

I clothed

וָאַלְבִּישֵׁ֣ךְ

thee also with broidered work

רִקְמָ֔ה

and shod

וָאֶנְעֲלֵ֖ךְ

thee with badgers' skin

תָּ֑חַשׁ

and I girded

וָאֶחְבְּשֵׁ֣ךְ

thee about with fine linen

בַּשֵּׁ֔שׁ

and I covered

וַאֲכַסֵּ֖ךְ

thee with silk

מֶֽשִׁי׃

I decked

וָאֶעְדֵּ֖ךְ

thee also with ornaments

עֶ֑דִי

and I put

וָאֶתְּנָ֤ה

bracelets

צְמִידִים֙

 

עַל

upon thy hands

יָדַ֔יִךְ

and a chain

וְרָבִ֖יד

 

עַל

on thy neck

גְּרוֹנֵֽךְ׃

And I put

וָאֶתֵּ֥ן

a jewel

נֶ֙זֶם֙

 

עַל

on thy forehead

אַפֵּ֔ךְ

and earrings

וַעֲגִילִ֖ים

 

עַל

in thine ears

אָזְנָ֑יִךְ

crown

וַעֲטֶ֥רֶת

and a beautiful

תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת

upon thine head

בְּרֹאשֵֽׁךְ׃

Thus wast thou decked

וַתַּעְדִּ֞י

with gold

and silver

וָכֶ֗סֶף

and thy raiment

וּמַלְבּוּשֵׁךְ֙

was of fine linen

on every one that passed by

thou didst take

וַתִּקְחִ֣י

And of thy garments

מִבְּגָדַ֗יִךְ

and deckedst

thy high places

בָּמ֣וֹת

with divers colours

טְלֻא֔וֹת

and playedst the harlot

וַתִּזְנִ֖י

 

עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם

thereupon the like things shall not come

Thou hast also taken

mine oil

My meat

אֲשֶׁר

also which I gave

whom thou hast borne

unto me and these hast thou sacrificed

וַתִּזְבָּחִ֥ים

 

לָהֶ֖ם

unto them to be devoured

a small matter

הַמְעַ֖ט

Is this of thy whoredoms

מִתַּזְנוּתָֽךְ׃

That thou hast slain

my children

and delivered

thou hast not remembered

זָכַ֖רְתְּי

of thy youth

נְעוּרָ֑יִךְ

when thou wast naked

and bare

וְעֶרְיָ֔ה

And it came to pass after

וַתִּגָּלֶ֣ה

and thy nakedness

עֶרְוָתֵ֔ךְ

through thy whoredoms

בְּתַזְנוּתַ֖יִךְ

 

עַל

with thy lovers

מְאַהֲבָ֑יִךְ

 

וְעַל֙

 

כָּל

and with all the idols

גִּלּוּלֵ֣י

of thy abominations

תוֹעֲבוֹתַ֔יִךְ

and by the blood

וְכִדְמֵ֣י

of thy children

Behold therefore I will gather

וְקִבַּצְתִּי֩

with whom thou hast taken pleasure

against thee and will discover

וְגִלֵּיתִ֤י

all thy nakedness

עֶרְוָתֵֽךְ׃

 

אֲלֵהֶ֔ם

unto them that they may see

וְרָא֖וּ

all thy nakedness

עֶרְוָתֵֽךְ׃

And I will judge

וּשְׁפַטְתִּיךְ֙

are judged

מִשְׁפְּטֵ֣י

thee as women that break wedlock

נֹאֲפ֔וֹת

and shed

וְשֹׁפְכֹ֖ת

blood

דַּ֥ם

and I will give

וּנְתַתִּ֕יךְ

blood

דַּ֥ם

in fury

חֵמָ֖ה

and jealousy

וְקִנְאָֽה׃

And I will also give

וְנָתַתִּ֨י

 

אוֹתָ֜ךְ

thee into their hand

בְּיָדָ֗ם

and they shall throw down

וְהָרְס֤וּ

thine eminent place

גַבֵּךְ֙

and shall break down

וְנִתְּצ֣וּ

thy high places

רָמֹתַ֔יִךְ

they shall strip

וְהִפְשִׁ֤יטוּ

 

אוֹתָךְ֙

thee also of thy clothes

בְּגָדַ֔יִךְ

and shall take

וְלָקְח֖וּ

jewels

כְּלֵ֣י

thy fair

תִפְאַרְתֵּ֑ךְ

and leave

וְהִנִּיח֖וּךְ

thee naked

עֵירֹ֥ם

and bare

וְעֶרְיָֽה׃

They shall also bring up

וְהֶעֱל֤וּ

 

עָלַ֙יִךְ֙

a company

קָהָ֔ל

against thee and they shall stone

וְרָגְמ֥וּ

 

אוֹתָ֖ךְ

בָּאָ֑בֶן

and thrust thee through

וּבִתְּק֖וּךְ

with their swords

And they shall burn

So will I make my fury

shall depart

וְסָ֥רָה

and my jealousy

קִנְאָתִ֖י

 

מִמֵּ֑ךְ

from thee and I will be quiet

וְשָׁ֣קַטְתִּ֔י

וּבְתוֹעֲבֽוֹתֵיהֶ֖ן

nor done

עָשִׂ֑יתי

כִּמְעַ֣ט

וַתַּשְׁחִ֥תִי

הֶחֱזִֽיקָה׃

וַֽתִּגְבְּהֶ֔ינָה

abomination

תוֹעֵבָ֖ה

לְפָנָ֑י

וָאָסִ֥יר

רָאִֽיתִי׃

מֵהֵ֔נָּה

and hast justified

וַתְּצַדְּקִי֙

 

אֶת

thy sisters

אֲחוֹתַ֔ךְ

 

בְּכָל

in all thine abominations

אֲשֶׁ֥ר

which thou hast done

Thou also which hast judged

פִּלַּלְתְּ֙

אַחְיוֹתֵֽךְ׃

בְּחַטֹּאתַ֛יִךְ

הִתְעַ֥בְתְּ

than they

מֵהֵ֖ן

in that thou hast justified

בְּצַדֶּקְתֵּ֖ךְ

 

מִמֵּ֑ךְ

than thou yea be thou confounded

בּ֙וֹשִׁי֙

וּשְׂאִ֣י

וְנִכְלַ֕מְתְּ

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

in all that thou hast done

עָשִׂ֑ית

the oath

אָלָ֖ה

לְהָפֵ֥ר

the covenant

בְּרִֽית׃

Nevertheless I will remember

וְזָכַרְתִּ֨י

 

אֲנִ֧י

אוֹתָ֖ךְ

with thee in the days

בִּימֵ֣י

of thy youth

נְעוּרָ֑יִךְ

and I will establish

וַהֲקִימוֹתִ֥י

unto thee an everlasting

עוֹלָֽם׃

Then thou shalt remember

וְזָכַ֣רְתְּ

 

אֶת

דְּרָכַיִךְ֮

and be ashamed

וְנִכְלַמְתְּ֒

when thou shalt receive

בְּקַחְתֵּ֗ךְ

 

אֶת

אֲחוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙

thine elder

הַגְּדֹל֣וֹת

 

מִמֵּ֔ךְ

 

אֶל

and thy younger

הַקְּטַנּ֖וֹת

 

מִמֵּ֑ךְ

and I will give

וְנָתַתִּ֨י

 

אֶתְהֶ֥ן

 

לָ֛ךְ

them unto thee for daughters

לְבָנ֖וֹת

 

וְלֹ֥א

but not by thy covenant

מִבְּרִיתֵֽךְ׃

And I will establish

וַהֲקִימֹתִ֥י

 

אֲנִ֛י

 

אֶת

my covenant

בְּרִיתִ֖י

 

אִתָּ֑ךְ

with thee and thou shalt know

וְיָדַ֖עַתְּ

 

כִּֽי

 

אֲנִ֥י

that I am the LORD

יְהוָֽה׃

 

לְמַ֤עַן

That thou mayest remember

תִּזְכְּרִי֙

and be confounded

וָבֹ֔שְׁתְּ

 

וְלֹ֨א

 

יִֽהְיֶה

 

לָּ֥ךְ

 

עוֹד֙

and never open

פִּתְח֣וֹן

thy mouth

פֶּ֔ה

any more because

מִפְּנֵ֖י

of thy shame

כְּלִמָּתֵ֑ךְ

when I am pacified

בְּכַפְּרִי

 

לָךְ֙

 

לְכָל

 

אֲשֶׁ֣ר

toward thee for all that thou hast done

עָשִׂ֔ית

saith

נְאֻ֖ם

the Lord
