DEFINITION OF THE BIBLE

‘Bible’ came from Greek word ‘Biblo’ which means ‘The book’.

The Bible comprises of a collection of books. The Christian church now uses over 200+ English translations of the Bible alone. Read more about the King James issue.

TESTAMENTS OF THE BIBLE

How many books are in the Bible?

  • Old Testament (thirty-nine books)
  • New Testament (twenty-seven books)

There is a total of sixty-six single books in the Bible.

Hebrews 9:15-19: “And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,”

Jesus is the mediator of the New Testament. New Testament cannot even happen until the testator (Jesus Christ) dies. Thus He can start a brand new testament.

The Old Testament came to effect because of the blood of the animals by Moses (The first 5 books in the Bible is by Moses).

VARIETY OF THE BIBLE

Since the Bible is the inspired word of God, they are not to be seen as (human) Christian writings. The different authors, time periods, and languages of the Bible show that God has to be the one who is weaving the tapestry of the Bible.

Which KJV Edition? The 1611, 1769, Cambridge or Oxford?

Proverbs 30:5: “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.”

Every word of God is pure! Not just the Bible itself, but EVERY word. This means that you can’t simply translate “ideas” like the modern scholars argue.

Every word of God is sacred and must be translated appropriately. If you, you start to walk down the road of heresy. Not only are the scholars doing this themselves, but they are leading others to this ruin by promoting their modern Bibles.

Which King James Bible to Use?

These different King James Bibles (KJV 1611, 1769, by Cambridge University Press, and by Oxford University Press) are different editions. Realize it says editions, not revisions. They only include typographical errors and spelling differences, not real changes.

All of the King James Versions are still the perfect Word of God without changed or removed words. They fix typographical errors and spellings that happen from the natural mistakes of the original printing technology. There is a big difference between the different modern editions of the KJV and all of the varying modern translations that have changed the content of the Bible.

This truth debunks the critics’ argument about which KJV is the right one! They are all acceptable as the Word of God. There are not any doctrinal differences between them. You can comfortably choose any of them that you prefer and know that you are receiving the perfect Word of God in its entirety.

Bible beleivers believe the KJV is pure because every word is honestly translated from its original languages and not intentionally changed! God considers something pure by the honesty of the person’s heart.

Ezra 6:20: “For the priests and the Levites were purified together, all of them were pure, and killed the passover for all the children of the captivity, and for their brethren the priests, and for themselves. And the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from the filthiness of the heathen of the land, to seek the Lord God of Israel, did eat,”

Why were they all considered pure? It was because they did it to the best of their abilities to keep themselves separate.

The problem with modern Bible translations in the English language is that they are intentionally changed and manipulated to further the doctrines of the modern scholars who are working on them. There is not honesty in their heart. They are promoting falsehoods and heresies through their work, not making unintentional errors. The following verses show how highly God treats the purity of one’s heart:

Psalm 24:4: “He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.”

Pure in this case is living to the honesty of the heart, without deliberate flagrancy.

Matthew 5:8: “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.”

Are these people entirely pure in their heart? No, they live by their best ability to live pure lives.

We should rejoice because God used the blood of the martyrs, the KJV translators, and so many others throughout history to bring us His perfect Bible. We don’t need to search through multiple translations to find the perfect Word of God. It has already been revealed! It is a cause for great celebration.

God doesn’t look at the typographical changes or spelling errors. He looks at the purity of heart and declares it pure. What He doesn’t accept is the flagrant wickedness that is present in modern Bibles. They deliberately changed God’s Word. They relied on their own “knowledge,” not God’s, and decided to remove things, change things, etc., all because of what THEY thought was right! And this is after they already had in their hands the perfect Word of God. That’s deliberate flagrancy.

Let the Bible define to you what pure is! Don’t let the critics point out supposed flaws.

What? Missing Books in the Bible?!

what? missing books in the BibleThere is much confusion on which books belong in our Bible. There are a lot of liberal scholars who try to claim that there are other books in the Bible such as the book of Enoch, that the Orthodox Christian Church has rejected.

The reason why they are pushing that is because they know that those books in our Bible contradict Christian doctrine, and they want to use that as an excuse to teach some liberal teachings and to criticise Christianity. We’re going to look at the Bible to see that the books in our King James Bible, and the books that traditional Protestant Christianity has always used, are the right books in our Bible.

What books did God approve in the Bible?

The reason why we believe we have the right books in our Bible is simply, what did God think about it. What books did God approve of in our Bible?

If God says that the book of Genesis is right, then that means that is the right book of the Bible. If God says it is the book of Revelation, or the book of Daniel, then that will be the right book of the Bible. But if God did not mention those as not the right books of the Bible, then we know those are not the right books in our Bible.

So let’s see what Jesus said in Luke 4:17-21.

Luke 4:17-21 “And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.”

So notice right here, which are the books that God approved as part of Scripture?

The first one is definitely Isaiah. So we do know that the book of Isaiah is the right book of the Bible. Liberal scholars give this weird theory that there are two different Isaiah who wrote the book of Isaiah, trying to make the book not legit. However, who cares what scholars say! Jesus didn’t see it that way! He thought Isaiah is legit and real genuine scripture. We can discover which books are the right books in our Bible, simply by seeing what Jesus thought.

Jesus also thought that the books of Jonah and Daniel are the right books in our Bible as well.

Matthew 12:39 “But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:”

Notice here that Jesus Christ called Jonah a prophet.

Matthew 24:15 “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)”

Jesus recognised Isaiah, Jonah and Daniel as legit. When you hear these weird arguments and so-called historical explanations, they can’t prove it. They will try to say that the language eludes, and they will give some kind of historical background and information, but all of it is theory. They will try to forcibly connect some historical background and illusion in the verse language to prove a theory.

Matthew 4:4 

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 

Jesus considered the book of Deuteronomy to be legit. Jesus is quoting from the text, what He believed to be the right Bible.

Matthew 4:5-6 “Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.”

Notice right here that the devil is even quoting scripture, he is no fool either. He knows which book belongs in your Bible. If liberals are dumb enough to not figure out which book is in the Bible, the devil is smart enough to figure it out.

Matthew 4:7 “Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.”

Notice that response, it shows that Jesus Christ does not deny the verse that Satan is quoting. He recognises that the first part is scripture, that’s why He says it is “written again”, following that, Jesus is going to respond with a different verse. Jesus quoted a verse in response to the devil quoting a verse.

Matthew 4:10 “Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”

All these verses quoted by Jesus Christ are found in Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Psalms, Zechariah, and 1 Samuel as well. All of these are in your Bible.

Luke 24:44 “And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.”

Scriptures in three sections, the law of Moses, in the prophets, and the Psalms. The Law of Moses, from Genesis to Deuteronomy, were written by Moses. The prophets are going to cover from the books of Joshua to Daniel, as well as the twelve minor prophets in your Old Testament. The Psalms cover the book of Psalms down to the Song of Solomon.

In a book called “Bible Doctrines”, page 53, Josephus the historian, a non-Christian and respected first-century history, also recognised these quotations of the Law of Moses, prophets and Psalms.

Matthew 23:30 “And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.”

Matthew 23:35 “That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.”

Abel was mentioned in the book of Genesis. “Zacharias son of Barachias” refers to the book of 2 Chronicles, where the Israelites killed him.

The King James Bible is translated from the Masoretic text, “Hebrew text”. The order is different, but it has the same books. The books include Genesis to 2 Chronicles.

Which books are in the New Testament?

Now let’s talk about the New Testament. The Gnostics were very infamous for providing wrong books in the Bible, confusing many people with the apocryphal books, and the book of Enoch, gospel of Thomas, Judas Iscariot and Mary Magdalene. These books were implanted by the Gnostics and these were the enemies of early Christians of which Paul warned about. The devil has been attacking your Bible ever since the beginning.

John 14:26 “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

We can believe the words of Jesus Christ to be true, because Jesus Himself proclaimed that the Holy Spirit will bring the words to remembrance. The liberal scholars will try to say that Jesus was a good guy, and the disciples misunderstood Him. That’s not what Jesus said, Jesus said that they will remember exactly what He said, by the Holy Spirit.

John 16:13 “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”

God is going to speak His words, the Holy Spirit will speak His word. The Scriptures are given by inspiration of God, God-breathed from the Holy Spirit. The words spoken by the Holy Spirit will become part of scripture, and be passed on to the disciples.

The liberal schools are going to attack the apostle Paul the most. Paul’s writings are also considered to be part of scripture.

2 Peter 3:15-16 “And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.”

You’ll notice that the chief leader of Christianity, Peter, recognised Paul’s writings to be part of scriptures. You’ll see right here that the Word of God already showed us which books God had approved as part of our Bible.

Biblical Books

There is much evidence to prove that we have the right books in our Bible, not just because the Scriptures show it (which was shown in previous article), but there is also historical evidences. In other words, we can rely on the books of the Bible that Christianity has to be true, not only because the Scriptures show it, but also because of purely historical and manuscript evidences, which is what this article is going to show. Even secularly speaking, we’ve got good evidence that we have the right books in our Bible as well. We are going to look at several of the cases here.

The Dead Sea Scrolls

Firstly, one of the biggest evidence that we got the right books in our Bible is the ancient manuscripts called ‘the Dead Sea Scrolls’. A lot of manuscript scholars dated these scrolls to go all the way back from the BCs. They contain all the Old Testament books that the King James Bible has, with the only exception being the Book of Esther. One can look up the book ‘the Meaning of the Dead Sea Scrolls’ by James Vanderkam which shows the evidences thereof.

Jews as keepers of the Scripture

We have another evidence, which is the Jews as a group of people. If one looks at historical evidences and uses some common sense, one would know that Jews were the people to whom the words of God was given to at the beginning, and they are the ones who took care of the words of God ever since the BCs. From the history of the Jews, we know that they took copies and writings of the Scripture, every single word of it seriously.

Let’s look at Deuteronomy 31:24-26

“And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished, That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying, Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.”

The first books of the Bible that Moses wrote since the beginning were carried on by the Jews. Ever since the beginning, they were in charge of holding the Scriptures. Moses told them to take care of this book so that it can be a witness for you.

Ever since the beginning of the Jewish nation, to the time period when they lost their nation after the Babylonian captivity, they still have Scriptures. The Levites kept them all that time.

Let’s also look at Nehemiah 8:7-9  

Nehemiah 8:7-9

“Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebian, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law: and the people stood in their place. So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading. And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra, the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.”

Therefore, the Jewish people had it all that time, this is recognized not only by the Old Testament, but also the New Testament.  

Romans 3:2

“Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.”

What do the ‘oracles of God’ mean? ‘Oracle’ means something divine, or a word from the divine God. The ‘oracles of God’ were given to the Jews  

Early Scholarly Evidence

Another evidence is from Edward F. Hills, a Harvard scholar even before Dr. Ruckman’s time period, a man who not only defended the right books in the Bible, but also defended the KJV itself. Dr. Ruckman referred to him quite often as evidence.

In his book ‘Believing Bible Study’ pages 5 through 9, he gives detailed historical explanations for all the books in the King James Bible, while talking about Masoretus Text and going through the Textus Receptus manuscripts. He shows from beginning to end that we have all the right books in our Bible. Because of these historical manuscript evidence from the scholars, we ended up with the books of the Bible in the KJV.

Early Christians’ Recognition

Although there are some church fathers and early Christians who recognized some books outside of our King James Bible, for example, the Book of Enoch, the Book of Abraham, Gospel of Barnabas, Epistle of Barnabas, Shepherd of Hermas etc., the majority of early churches and early Christians recognized the books in our Bible today as the right words of God.

Why else did we have these books in the Bible for the past nearly two thousand years, if we didn’t have the majority of early churches who took these books as part of the Bible? Why did we lose these other epistles or books? Because the majority of early churches did not think these books were important or were the words of God. The books that we have in our hand is evidence itself, that majority of, not only early churches but also today’s, Christian churches recognize which books are the right books in our Bible. This argument can be found in Dr. Lee Martin McDonald’s book ‘the Biblical Canon’.

The Bible also supports this view in Acts 13:49. How do we know that we got the right words of God is because of early Christians back then. They had it. One needs to use some common sense here. Who are the ones who had the words of God during the early centuries? Was it Gnostics who talked about strange foreign books in the Bible or would you trust the early Christians? Who’s more reliable? Obviously the early Christians, to whom the word of the Lord is given at that time throughout that area.  

Acts 13:49

“And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.”

Acts 11: 22, 26:

“Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch. And when he had found him, he brought hi unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.”

These people in Antioch were first called Christians. These people were very dependable people.

Acts 11:24

“For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.”

Acts 11:20

“And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch……”

Acts 11:19

……and Antioch, preaching the word ……

In the area of Antioch, they were first called Christians. Everyone is imperfect and these people in Antioch were no exceptions. But can’t God use imperfect people for His glory?

These people during the early centuries of church history don’t have the luxury like we do with concordances, technology, and the past more than one thousand years of knowledge where we could accumulate all the right doctrines. These early Christians were facing persecution as well so they don’t have the luxury of much time.

There is no doubt that this is a group of people in early church history. The Antioch churches were the ones that spread out the most; they were the ones who had zeal that would evangelize the most. They are the people where the manuscript evidence of the New Testament came from. Majority of Greek manuscripts support the manuscripts of this area, that’s where the Textus Receptus, Byzantine manuscripts came from, the Syrian area, Antioch Syria. There’s a wealth of evidence here and the above is just part of it.

Other manuscript evidence

One can also find evidence in the Ambrosiana Library in Milan in Italy. They discovered in 1740, in the Ambrosiana library in Milan Italy, a second century list that contains the 27 books in the New Testament Bible.

Conclusion

We have historical manuscript evidence as well for the books of the Bible. In the previous video, I showed you that the Scriptures show we got the right books in our Bible, but also historical and manuscript evidence as well in this article.

Why can we have only ONE English translation of the Bible?

As Bible believers, we have faith that the King James Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God. The entirety of our faith rests on the message we receive from the Bible. This is why the belief in the perfect Word of God is vital. Without this belief, our faith is fallible and crumbles apart.

Why Does King James Onlyism Exist?

At the end of the “Defending KJV” series, we will realize together that there must be a perfect translation. Otherwise, we wouldn’t be able to tell right from wrong doctrines. So many have fallen into heresy and live by false doctrines because they have not realized the truth of the King James Bible for themselves.

That is why Bible believers are King James Only.

I pray that this article will help you avoid this same pitfall in your faith to live out your faith according to God’s truth.

Does a perfect Bible exist?

Before we make the argument for the King James Bible as the only Word of God, we must first come to the belief that a perfect Bible exists in the first place. After establishing that a perfect Bible exists, as God Himself has promised, we can then come to accept the KJV as perfect. Let’s turn to the Scriptures to begin our look into the evidence for a perfect Bible.

Psalms 12:6-7: “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever.”

This set of verses shows us the holiness and sacredness of God’s Word. How can the perfect Word of God be translated in so many different ways? How can the Bible still be the pure Word of God when the very words themselves are changed so dramatically? The purity of God’s Word demands that it is kept in the specific wording God intended from the start. Then there can be no confusion over the doctrine God would have us live our lives by.

2 Timothy 3:15-16: “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”

This verse teaches us how crucial the Bible is for our everyday lives. God’s Word serves so many purposes in our lives. That’s precisely why it’s so essential that we have a perfect Bible. Different translations speak essential doctrines in different ways. If these doctrines are guiding our lives, we must be sure that we read them in the way that God spoke them!

Matthew 4:4: “Be he answered and said, ‘It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

God’s Word sustains our very lives. We cannot live lives pleasing to God without taking in His Word daily. Our growth in life is about so much more than food. We must also tend to ourselves spiritually. We do that by continually engaging in God’s Word as part of our daily life.

Now that we see the Scriptural evidence for a perfect Bible, we can find immense value in pursuing it. We will go through the evidence and historical arguments to identify the perfect Bible, the King James Version.

Remember that despite the evidence proving the KJV as the only true Bible, many critics will still disagree because they fail to believe in the existence of a perfect Bible in the first place. Keep the above Scriptures close to your heart and hold tightly to the belief in a perfect Bible. Also note that flaws can be found in any well-put argument despite how sound it is. This is also true of the KJV.

However, the common element present in every argument (i.e., atheism, science, the perfect Bible being KJV, etc.) is faith. We all need faith to believe in something despite not knowing every imaginable answer on the topic.

That’s why 2 Corinthians 5:7 reminds us, “We walk by faith, not by sight.” No one has the mind of God. Ultimately, no matter how much evidence we find or how wise we become, we have limited human minds that pale in comparison to the absolute power, knowledge, and wisdom of the Lord. Ultimately, we must place our faith in Him. We must believe what He says to be true. And the Lord promises us the existence of a perfect Bible. We must take Him at His Word.

Contradictions and False Doctrines in Modern Translations

The other English translations contradict each other and promote false doctrine. When the other translations of the Bible promote differing doctrines, they can’t all be true.

 

All of God’s Words are in One Book, Not Thousands of Manuscripts

God says that all of the right words have to be in one book, not in thousands of manuscripts, as the scholars will try to tell you.

Hebrews 10:7: “Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.”

Jesus wasn’t picking words out of manuscripts. He says there was a book written about Him! We see a similar statement in Luke 4:20, where a physical book is referenced.

Luke 4:20: “And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.”

Time and time again, the Bible references God’s Word as a book, not a collection of manuscripts!

 

Yes, the Perfect Bible Exists

For further proof, let’s look at a variety of other verses that prove the existence of a perfect Bible:

Deuteronomy 8:3: “And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.”

Jeremiah 30:2: “Thus speaketh the Lord God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.”

Joshua 1:8: “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

Isaiah 34:16: “Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.”

What does Isaiah command us to seek from the book and read? This verse strongly proves that there is a perfect book we can hold in our hands and read.

The word “Bible” means “the book.” That proves that God’s Word is and always was intended to be found within a book. God never intended for His Word to be thought of as dispersed between thousands of manuscripts that only scholars could piece back together. God has given us a perfect Bible that we can all hold in our hands, and it’s the King James Bible.

Too Fanatic to Believe EVERY Word is Perfect (KJV)? God’s words are preserved forever

God’s promise is to give us a perfect Bible and He promised to preserve His words. It’s not the Bible itself, but God’s words in the Bible. When you see the Scriptures in this way, they are even more powerful! The words we read in the King James Bible, that dictate our faith, are words spoken out of God’s very mouth. That’s enough reason to devote our lives to what the Bible says.

Psalm 119:89: “For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.” Verse 160 reads, “Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.”

Ever since the original, God’s Word has carried on. He has promised to retain it forever.

Here are more verses to commit to memory to help hold firm your belief in the perfect Word of God.

Isaiah 40:8: “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”

Psalm 12:6-7: “The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”

Matthew 24:35: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”

1 Peter 1:25: “But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”

Proverbs 30:5-6: “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.”

Every word of God is pure. Not even just the general Word, the Bible, but every word that God has spoken.

Matthew 4:4: “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

Jesus believed that every word had to stand, because they come out of God’s mouth.

Isaiah 59:21: “As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.”

Matthew 5:18: “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”

Deuteronomy 4:2:´” Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.”

Psalm 138:2: “I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.”

His words are above His name. Do you think you would change His words? His name is taken with all seriousness by the Jewish people. But God says His words are above His name!

Revelation 22:18-19 shows us a curse. This verse shows the reader the seriousness God has for the preservation of His words. Why do modern Bible translators believe they can play around with God’s words? Wouldn’t you think twice about doing this if it were you?

Double Inspiration and Why Do We Believe a Perfect Bible Exists (KJV)?

It is important to recognize that we would have no final authority of what is right and what is wrong without demanding a perfect word of God.

For Bible believers, the King James Bible encompasses God’s pure and perfect words. If we believe that the word of God has mistakes, then we do not know whether it is teaching correct doctrine or not.

Critics that do not believe in a perfect Bible insist that only the original manuscripts, which the apostles and Old Testament authors wrote, are perfect. They do not consider the copies of manuscripts that came out of the originals to be given by God’s inspiration.

To find out whether the originals or the copies and manuscripts that came from the originals are the perfect words of God, we will refer to 2 Timothy.

What are the scriptures?

2 Timothy 3:16: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

This verse clearly states that all scripture (original, copy, or translation) is considered inspired by God, meaning that all scripture is perfect.

What is meant by inspiration is that it is God-breathed (every breath and word of God).

Despite this, scholars claim that there are mistakes in the copies, manuscripts, and translations that came from the originals and are imperfect, unlike the originals themselves.

We, however, disagree with this. We believe all scripture, including copies and manuscripts, is perfect, further supported by the previous verse 15.

2 Timothy 3:15 “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”

Paul tells Timothy that he had the holy scripture since he was a child, which, logically speaking, could not have been original scripture but a copy. The scriptures that everyone at this time were also considered to be perfect.

Jesus and the eunuch both had copies of the scriptures, not the originals

Luke 4:17-19: “And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”

Even the book of Isaiah, from which Jesus read in Luke 4, was not the original. Common sense dictates that Jesus owned a copy of the book of Isaiah and that this copy was considered scripture. To those claiming that it was the original book or Isaiah, refer to Acts 8:30.

Acts 8:30: “And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias”

Someone is reading the book of Isaiah, which has to be a copy. We find out who is reading Isaiah in verse 27, an Ethiopian man.

Acts 8:27: “And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,”

If only the originals are considered scripture, why does the Bible say that both Jesus and the Ethiopian man had access to scripture? If you say that only one of them was original, that still implies that the other book is a copy, which is still considered scripture, and all scripture as stated earlier, is given by inspiration of God.

The very first words of God were destroyed, but we still have them today

Exodus 34 presents us with the very first words of God. Recall that God had written the ten commandments down on stone tablets and that Moses broke those original tablets.

Exodus 34:1: “And the Lord said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.”

After having broken the two tablets containing God’s words, God instructs Moses to make tablets like the originals so that he can rewrite the commandments from the originals. This verse shows that the original tablets were destroyed and that copies (inspired by God) took their place. Although we do not have the originals with us today, it does not mean that God’s word is gone.

What is the definition of Inspiration?

According to Webster 1828, inspiration is defined as the infusion of ideas into the mind by the Holy Spirit; the conveying into the minds of men, ideas, notices or monitions by extraordinary or supernatural influence; or the communication of the divine will to the understanding by suggestions or impressions on the mind, which leave no room to doubt the reality of their supernatural origin.

Double inspiration

Critics will accuse KJV-onlyists and Bible believers such as Dr Peter Ruckman of believing in double inspiration, meaning that God inspired Scripture multiples times.

Double inspiration is correct, as the Bible itself shows us in Jeremiah 36.

Jeremiah 36:2: “Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.”

God inspires the writings of the roll the first time.

Jeremiah 36:22-23: “Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him. And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth.”

The original roll is burned. The original writings are gone.

Jeremiah 36:32: “Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.”

The writings in the first roll are copied on another roll, and more words are added to the copy, double inspiration. It can also be called a secondary inspiration.

Other examples of Double inspiration

Another instance where a copy was considered scripture was Proverbs 25.

Proverbs 25:1: “These are also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.

This chapter was copied from the writings of Solomon. The originals of the law of Moses were also based on a copy.

Deuteronomy 17:18: “And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:”

As shown in previous verses, the originals are not the only writings to be given by inspiration. It also shows that even after the originals were done away, God replaced them with copies. He considers those copies to be scripture.

The Bible also shows us an example where the original is based on a copy and not the other way around. This is found in Ezra 4.

Ezra 4:11: “This is the copy of the letter that they sent unto him.”

The whole book of Ezra is based on a copy of a letter.

Other instances of scripture as copies are found in the following verses:

There are so many verses to prove that copies are considered scripture that it is unthinkable to believe that the originals are the only true God-inspired writings. All scripture is inspired by God.

Chapter 8 Manuscript Evidence for the KJV

Majority Text – KJV Manuscript Evidence vs Modern Bibles

The Manuscript Evidence Supporting the King James Bible – the Majority Text

The reason for choosing the King James Version in the Christian faith is the manuscript evidence supporting it, which we will cover in this study.

What is the majority text?

In the Nestle Aland text, 𝔓 represents “majority text.” Nestle Aland has been named after its most influential editors, Eberhard Nestle and Kurt Aland. This is where the King James Bible comes from.

“Majority text” means that most manuscripts support the vast majority of the King James Bible text. Logically speaking, the Bible that has the most manuscript evidence should be chosen, which is why Bible believers choose the KJV as their Bible.

Modern Bibles, however, do not come from “majority text” but from the Sinaiticus (א), Vaticanus (B), Bezae (D), and the Papyrus 75 (P75).

*P75 is the oldest manuscript, given that papyrus material is well preserved.

Despite coming from four of the five manuscript groups, majority text advocates find that manuscript evidence supporting modern versions is very small compared to the manuscript evidence in favor of the KJV.

Comparing the Textual Evidence for Modern Bibles

Famous Oxford scholar, Dean Burgon, criticized the manuscripts that were used to make the first modern Bible by Westcott & Hort and said:

“All four are discovered on careful scrutiny to differ essentially not only from the 99 out of the 100 of the whole body of extent manuscripts but even from each other”. (The Revision Revised, Dean Burgon p.12)

According to Dean Burgon, only 1 percent of the manuscript evidence supports modern versions, and 99 percent (which is attributed to the majority text) supports the KJV.

Seeing this makes it clear what Bible to choose. Scholars, however, do not think so. They make it seem as if the KJV does not come from the majority of manuscripts. Despite this, even the Nestle Aland text, an anti-KJV text which is respected as the authority by manuscript scholars, admits that the majority text (𝔓) is:

“the majority of all manuscripts” and a “reading supported by the majority of all manuscripts”. They also call it “majority” numerous times. (Novum Testamentum Graece, 27th Edition p.46,51,55)

Another argument critics use to defend modern Bibles is that modern Bibles are derived from ancient manuscripts while the KJV comes from late manuscripts (newer). However, the KJV also came out of some ancient manuscripts, much like the 1 percent modern translations use.

90% of manuscripts agree with the KJV

The KJV has 90% of biblical evidence pointing towards it. If we are going to be fair, the LOWEST number attributed to the King James Bible is 80%. Modern Bibles have only 1% of biblical manuscripts supporting them. So, how could the detractors possibly claim that modern Bibles have better manuscript evidence than the King James Bible? We’ll look at their mindset and see clearly why it is false. 

Dr Floyd Nolan Jones (Paleontologist and geophysicist) says

“Despite all the variations, nearly all the of the words of the New Testament enjoy over 99% attestation, about 2% have less than 95% support and fewer than 1% of the words have less than 80% and most of these differ only slightly.”

Wilbur Pickering who got his Masters in Greek exegesis from Dallas Theological Seminary and PhD in linguistics from the University of Toronto, also agreed on this.
“One may reasonably speak of the 90% of the extent manuscripts belonging to the majority text type. The remaining 10 to 20% do not represent a single competing form. The minority manuscripts disagree as much or more among themselves as they do with the majority.”

The critics attack the KJV, claiming Erasmus started it and that it was a hurried process with only a few manuscripts. They argue that modern Bibles are better because we have more manuscripts today. It sounds good when you put it that way, but those educated in rhetoric can make anything sound right. When one digs in and looks at the new manuscript evidence over the year, they also point to the credibility of the King James Version and NOT the modern Bibles!

The five uncials (New Testament) support KJV

The new manuscripts are testaments to the accuracy of the KJV. Let’s look at what is known as the five uncials. The five uncials are some of the oldest and most famous manuscripts. These are ancient sources, and they support the King James Version by a large majority.

  • 2 to 1 from the four Gospels to Acts
  • 10 to 7 from Romans to Jude

The finding and study of such manuscripts only go to prove further the King James (Authorized Version) purity, not the other way around. 

Old manuscripts still support KJV (Authorized Version)

Some of the ancient manuscripts that support the KJV are presented below:

  • Syriac Peshitta (2nd Century) – 237 for KJV and 74 for NIV which is the representation of modern Bibles.
  • Vitus Latina (2nd to 3rd Century) – also known as Old Latin which has 2,344 traditional text vs 1,252 in Sinaitus and Vaticanus.
  • Vitus Syra (2nd to 4th Century)
  • Magdalen Papyrus (1st to 2nd Century) *contradicts modern bibles
  • Writings of the Church Fathers (1st to 5th Century) *quote verses similar to KJV – The United Bible Society (critics of the KJV) also reports evidence that the church fathers’ manuscripts are true to the KJV text. In their report, 969 traditional text of KJV to 733 of Sinaiticus and Vaticanus.
  • Papyri Manuscripts (most ancient)

Although 1 John 5:7 was not found in the Greek manuscripts, it was found in one of the ancient manuscripts, meaning that most verses from the KJV will come from the majority text while the remaining percentage comes from the ancient texts.

If we’re talking about choosing a Bible with the most manuscript evidence, the King James Bible is the clear winner.

Eclectic Text More Accurate than KJV?

There are so many pieces of evidence to support the King James Version:

What are eclectic texts?

Text that draws from multiple sources is said to be eclectic.

Scholarly thinking says the eclectic text (also called the critical text) is better because it contains shorter verses. That’s why there are shorter verses in the NIV! There are missing verses in many modern Bibles, including the ESV.

Why would they want shorter verses?

Let’s look at an example. Half of Mark 16 is chopped off in the Alexandrian manuscripts. They automatically assume that additional verses were added later. They believe the shorter verses are closer to the original.

When they work in this way, they are translating merely on assumption. Even though they claim such advanced knowledge, they don’t know that those verses weren’t original. But based on their human systems and human knowledge that make them so proud, they feel the right to take away verse out of God’s Word, which is NOT okay. They are relying on human wisdom and not that of God.

The traditional text (KJV) is closer to the later manuscripts, the Alexandrian to the older. Eclectic text is the text where many modern editions of the Bible comes from. It is also known as critical text and Alexandrian manuscripts. This knowledge will be important in our conversation going forward.

2 Corinthians 2:17: “For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.”

Corruption of the Bible was very common, even in the time of the Apostle Paul! It’s common knowledge that there were changes and additional books added to the Bible in ancient times. Why then do the scholars advocate the assumption that the older manuscripts are the most accurate and pure?

Revelation 22:19: “And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.”

The Corruptions in the Alexandrian manuscripts

God warned about people taking words out of His book. This work that the scholars do so carelessly has serious consequences. People who believe they know the Bible so well ignore a plan and clear warning from God Himself right within the Scriptures!

Dean Bergen (Oxford scholar and Dean of Chichester) quotes this:

“It can per force only be divined from their contents that they exhibit fabricated text. No amount of honest copying persevered in for any number of centuries could by possibility resulted in such documents. Separated from one another in an actual date, by fifty perhaps by a hundred years, they must have branched off from a common corrupt ancestor and straightway become exposed continuously to fresh, deprave influences. “

The thing about these Alexandrian manuscripts (Codex Sinaticus and Codex Vaticanus) is that there are external evidence of pen knife markings as well as annotations/writings all over. It was clear that people tampered with these manuscripts.

Dr. Edward F. Hills who worked on New Testament texts criticism at Harvard says,

“Thus we see that there is no convincing reason for regarding either the Western text or the Alexandrian text as a true New Testament text. On the contrary, there are many grounds for believing that both these texts have been seriously corrupted by the scribes. The Western text being usually characterized by editions and the Alexandrian by omissions.”

Origen, a church father and someone who worked on Alexandrian manuscripts, stated,

“The differences among the manuscripts have become great, either through the negligence of some copyists or through the perverse audacity of others. They either neglect to check over what they have transcribed or in the process of transcribing, they lengthen or shorten as they please.” (Text of the New Testament, 151-152).

This quote is further proof that there was a lot of corruption in transcribing manuscripts going on in Alexandria. This corruption is what brought about the eclectic text that most modern Bibles are based on.

Kurt Aland, a leading New Testament critic and an editor in the eclectic text quotes,

“In the early period, there were several recessions of the text at the beginning of the fourth-century scholars at Alexandria and elsewhere. Took as many good manuscripts as were available and applied their philosophical methods to compile a new uniform text.”

Dr. Edward F. Hills again says:

“In this commentary, Origen, the leading Christian critic of antiquity gives us an insight into the arbitrary and highly subjective manner in which New Testament textual criticism was carried on at Alexandria about 230 AD.”

Matthew 19:20-21: “Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.”

Jesus says to this young man, “If you are good/perfect, keep all these commandments” and obviously this young man wasn’t perfect.

However, how Origen edited the Bible became very apparent. He chopped out the second half of verse 19, which was subjective and arbitrary subject to his eclectic viewpoint.

Is that the kind of Bible a Christian wants to build their faith on?

All of this shows that it takes more blind faith to believe in modern manuscripts than it does to believe in the accuracy of the KJV. The scholars automatically reasoned eclectic/Alexandrian text is without corruption, which is not correct.

Manuscripts the KJV Use

This article will show you a little bit of history of how the King James Bible was made and some common objections to the King James Bible issue.

By understanding these facts, you can be more established on the two main foundations (KJV Only and Dispensationalism).

Alexandria vs. Byzantine

The modern translations including those translated in the 20th century, are influenced by Alexandrian text.

Among the scholastic world, there are four main family lines of manuscripts. Still, scholars will generalize to make things so simple that there are only two main lines – Alexandrian and Byzantine.

The manuscripts from Syria are called Antioch, which is where the King James Version originates from. Modern Bible versions are mainly from Alexandria.

It is important to understand that not every verse in current versions is from Alexandria, and not every verse from King James Bible is from Antioch.

What does the Bible say about Byzantine manuscripts (Antioch)?

Acts 11:19-23: “Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only. And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus. And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord. Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch. Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.”

The Bible already gave you a clue if you want the closest area for the word of God. It is a matter of fact that that’s where the first Christians were called.

Acts 11:26: “And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.”

What does the Bible say about Alexandrian manuscripts (Egypt)?

If you look up every verse in the Bible that talks about Alexandria, it’s a negative reference. Alexandria came from Egypt. There is nothing good about Egypt in the Bible.

The NKJV brags that they came from Antioch and Byzantine manuscripts, but if we look carefully at the words, they do not all come from Antioch. Take a look at the previous post.

So a lot of scholars will say that the KJV did not come from Antioch and Byzantine manuscripts. This was later coined as Textus Receptus. The Old Testament of the KJV came from the Masoretic text – the Hebrew. The New Testament of the KJV came from Textus Receptus. So what scholars are going to say is point out verses in the Textus Receptus & Masoretic text that differ from the KJV and say, “See, it does have errors, and it’s not infallible.”

Some Independent Fundamental Baptist churches say that the Textus Receptus is correct and not the KJV, and that’s a red flag because they are always going to choose Textus Receptus over the KJV. A lot of these people are anti-semite and post-tribulation in doctrine. They have gotten their doctrines wrong. But not only, they are rabble-rousers who went rogue.

So there are two oldest manuscripts – old Latin and Syriac Peshitta. These two ancient manuscripts can be proven to be as early as the second century. Do the modern versions boast of Vaticanus and Sinaiticus? The famous argument that scholars use is that Vaticanus and Sinaiticus are the older ones, but that’s a lame one.

Between 85% to 99% of Greek manuscripts support Textus Receptus. Even so, they try to argue their way that Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiticus are older texts. There are also statements from the church fathers that back up the Greek texts.

Papyrus manuscripts

The papyrus manuscripts are considered to be the oldest ever. But do you know where Papyrus comes from? Egypt – Alexandria.

But the argument that it is older doesn’t mean it’s better. If an older Bible is written by a Satanist, does it make it better?

Look at the background between Antioch and Alexandria. Which one is more Christian? Would you pick the manuscripts from a more trustworthy area that the Lord picked, or would you go with an older manuscript?

Which manuscripts are the KJV translated from?

We believe KJV comes from all manuscripts in the line of Antioch and Byzantine. So, where there’s a Greek manuscript that KJV doesn’t have, you’ll find old Latin supporting it. Where the Greek manuscript failed, you’ll also have the Syriac Peshitta.

There are also papyrus manuscripts, but these are famously called the traditional texts. This line has many different names:

– Antioch,

– Byzantine,

– Textus Receptus, (remember it is Greek only).

Why is traditional text better?

Traditional text is better because it comprises of all the Greek manuscripts and everything in line with Textus Receptus or Antioch.

Old Latin came out in the second century after Greek originals in Antioch. Syriac Peshitta is in the second century also.

When the KJV translators translated, they used these two manuscript families but also all the manuscripts that were birthed out of Antioch – Byzantine. They picked the best words out of them and gave you the KJV.

Before the KJV, there were other earlier translations, e.g.,

  • Old English Wickliffe (13th century)
  • Polyglot Bible (14th century)
  • Luther’s German (15th century)
  • Valera Spanish (16th century).

There are 7 to 14 different editions of the Textus Receptus – so the KJV translators took all of these to give you a superior bible.

That’s why the KJV is superior to the Textus Receptus and the Hebrew Masoretic text.

The blood of the martyrs who bled and opposed the Roman Catholic church gave up their lives to translate the Bible are the ingredients of your Bible.

The Bible consistently says, look at the fruits.

KJV versus Ancient Papyrus Manuscripts

What do the ancient manuscripts, called Papyri say about the KJV?

The most ancient manuscripts are called Papyri. They were made from watergrass in Egypt. Because of how they were prepared, they lasted a long time. Just because of their age alone, scholars assume they are the most accurate version of the text.

These papyri manuscript fragments are much older than the manuscripts used for the KJV.

Can we trust Egypt?

But where did the Papyri come from? The Christian church?

No!

Critical scholars in Egypt!

Do you trust them with Alexandrian features with maintaining the accuracy of the Bible?

Even the textual scholars criticize Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus

Origen was the textual scholar at that time,

“The differences between the manuscripts have become great either through the negligence of some copyists or through the perverse audacity of others. They even neglected to check over what they transcribed or in the process of checking, they lengthen or shorten as they please.”

It seemed like there were careless scribes in the ancient manuscripts.

Dean Bergen said,

“Those four are what are discovered on careful scrutiny to differ essentially not only from the 99 out of 100 of the whole body of manuscripts but even from one another.”

Papyri 75 is used for most modern Bibles. It is the oldest and most famous. It is often a source of justification for many advocates of modern Bibles. But even when you look past the flagrant changes and corruption of the scholars behind it in Alexandria, this manuscript still supports the legitimacy of the KJV almost three to one!

The Bible says Preservation of His word is not on grass (papyri)

All in all, we must be wary of the modern Bibles based on the corruptions and agenda of the Alexandrian scholars. God has even warned us of it in His word.

Isaiah 40:8: “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”

God’s Word does not depend on grass! God Himself said told us this. Another note about grass (which withers and God’s word endures forever is made in the following passage.

1 Peter 1:24: “For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”

For those who still insist to argue that the age of the papyrus proves the legitimacy of modern Bibles, here are some hard numbers relating to Papyrus 45, 66, and 75 (some of the most famous fragments) to show the overwhelming support they still show for the King James Bible.

Traditional Text

Modern Versions (A+B, Sinaiticus and Vaticanus)

P45=33 P45(B)=25
P66=38 P66(A)=16
P75=33 P75(A)=11

Hands down, the King James Bible has the best evidence when one combines the papyri collections.

Matthew 26:22: “And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?”

In the video at 14:00, the Pastor Kim explains the Greek word in the above text, which has been translated correctly in the KJV, but not so in the critical text.

It is plain and clear to see. Anyone saying otherwise is simply trying to use rhetoric to skew your perception. But I implore you to dig into the evidence yourself!

You will find the incredible truth that God has already given us His perfect Word and has preserved it and kept it pure throughout the generations.

Comedy and fairy tales corrupting the bible

How does one know if we got the right books in our King James Bible? Because there are many other books, the Catholics and the church considered the Apocrypha part of the Bible.

Some people might say that the King James Bible used to have the Apocrypha, so the Apocrypha should be legit. The easy answer to that is that if you look at the Apocrypha in the original King James Bible, they are literally titled “Apocrypha” on every single page of the Apocrypha. But in the Old Testament and New Testament, they didn’t title it on every page, showing that they considered the Apocrypha not part of the Bible, unlike the Old Testament and the New Testament. They considered it just as a reference book like the Bibles that we have today; we have an appendix page at the end, and it will be labelled “Appendix” or “Map” at the top.

But that’s a totally different argument; the point is, how do we know that these books are not recognized? It’s because the content just plainly contradict the scripture; they’re ridiculous, and they’re heresy.

The Heresies and Inaccuracies in the Apocrypha

Here we have several examples; one of them is Tobit. In Tobit 6:5-7, it is condoning witchcraft. In pastor’s native country, Korea, where his ancestors came from, they endorsed shamanism for centuries and millenias, and you’re going to hear a little bit of that in this book.

Tobit 6:5-8 “Then the angel said to him: Take out the entrails of the fish, and lay up his heart, and his gall, and his liver for thee: for these are necessary for useful medicines.And when he had done so, he roasted the flesh thereof, and they took it with them in the way: the rest they salted as much as might serve them, till they came to Rages the city of the Medes.Then Tobias asked the angel, and said to him: I beseech thee, brother Azarias, tell me what remedies are these things good for, which thou hast bid me keep of the fish?And the angel, answering, said to him: If thou put a little piece of its heart upon coals, the smoke thereof driveth away all kind of devils, either from man or from woman, so that they come no more to them.”

Doesn’t this sound like shamanism and witchcraft? What they would do is take a creature’s insides to drive away spirits. That’s what shamanism and druids do.

Here’s another one; this contradicts scriptures, and you will know why the Catholic church wants to keep this. The verse talks about alms for forgiveness. That’s not true, the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sins in whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins (Ephesians 1).

Tobit 12:9 “For alms delivereth from death, and the same is that which purgeth away sins, and maketh to find mercy and life everlasting.”

Wrong call.

Here’s another one; the Apocrypha says that the Babylonian captivity went on for seven generations. Well, that’s a long time. But if you know your Bible stories, did Israel’s Babylonian captivity lasts for seven generations? No. If you read Jeremiah 29:10, it was only 70 years. It must be that every generation is only 10 years. Do you see how ridiculous this nonsense is?

Baruch 6:2 “And when you are come into Babylon, you shall be there many years, and for a long time, even to seven generations: and after that I will bring you away from thence with peace.”

Here’s another one; what one’s going to find out here is how this man died.

2 Maccabees 9:5-6 “But the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, smote him with an incurable and invisible plague: or as soon as he had spoken these words, a pain of the bowels that was remediless came upon him, and sore torments of the inner parts; And that most justly: for he had tormented other men’s bowels with many and strange torments.”

2 Maccabees 9:9 “So that the worms rose up out of the body of this wicked man, and whiles he lived in sorrow and pain, his flesh fell away, and the filthiness of his smell was noisome to all his army.”

So this guy, his flesh was falling away, and all of a sudden, worms started popping out. Not only that, it says ‘the filthiness of his smell was noisome to all his army’. This is a comedy show.

2 Maccabees 9:18 “But for all this his pains would not cease: for the just judgment of God was come upon him: therefore despairing of his health, he wrote unto the Jews the letter underwritten, containing the form of a supplication, after this manner:”

The verse is saying that while the man is ‘melting’ here, he’s writing a letter to the Jews with worms crawling all over his body. This is hilarious.

Here’s another one – wrong calculation of years and date. This is way off.

Tobit 1:3-5 “I Tobit have walked all the days of my life in the ways of truth and justice, and I did many almsdeeds to my brethren, and my nation, who came with me to Nineve, into the land of the Assyrians. And when I was in mine own country, in the land of Israel being but young, all the tribe of Nephthali my father fell from the house of Jerusalem, which was chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, that all the tribes should sacrifice there, where the temple of the habitation of the most High was consecrated and built for all ages. Now all the tribes which together revolted, and the house of my father Nephthali, sacrificed unto the heifer Baal.

Tobit 14:11 “Wherefore now, my son, consider what alms doeth, and how righteousness doth deliver. When he had said these things, he gave up the ghost in the bed, being an hundred and eight and fifty years old; and he buried him honourably.”

Notice that this man died at 158 years old, and this happened long after Genesis. This is ridiculous. Not only that, he claimed to be alive when Israel revolted and when Assyrians conquered Israel. One has to realize that Israel revolted in 931 BC, and Assyria conquered Israel in 722 BC. These two events were separated by over 200 years. He wasn’t old enough when he died.

Would one really consider this as part of the Bible? No wonder atheists make fun of the Bible as being fairy tale. If you want a Bible that’s fairy tale, the Apocrypha is a fairy tale right here.

Here’s another one; the verse here condones suicide.

2 Maccabees 14:41-46 “The soldiers were about to capture the tower where Razis had gone. They were forcing open the gates to the courtyard, and the order had been given to set the door on fire. Razis realized there was no escape, so he tried to commit suicide with his sword, preferring to die with honor rather than suffer humiliation at the hands of evil men. Under the pressure of the moment, Razis misjudged the thrust of the sword, and it did not kill him. So, while the soldiers were swarming into the room, he rushed to the wall and jumped off like a brave hero into the crowd below. The crowd quickly moved back, and he fell in the space they left. Still alive, and burning with courage, he got up, and with blood gushing from his wounds, he ran through the crowd and finally climbed a steep rock. Now completely drained of blood, he tore out his intestines with both hands and threw them at the crowd, and as he did so, he prayed for the Lord of life and breath to give them back to him. That was how he died.”

Catholicism condemns suicide. They say that it’s a sin that’s not pardoned and yet they put this as part of their Bible.

This is literally a cartoon. He commits suicide, but the sword did not hit him accurately. Then he ran and jumped off the wall while he was bleeding, and like in the cartoons, these people see him flying off the wall, and they all moved back, left him an open space, and he goes on the pavement. But he was still alive, ran through the crowd, tore out his intestines, and threw them at the crowd. This is hilarious.

The Book of Enoch

Pastor received a lot of comments about the book of Enoch, so he added in the book of Enoch here. One has to realize that the book of Enoch is not considered a true part of the Bible either. Just because Enoch was quoted, Jasher was quoted, and not only that, 3000 proverbs and 1000 songs of Solomon, the Bible also mentions the epistle to Laodicea from Paul, but those were not part of the Bible. Why? Because God did not choose them as His preserved words. That’s what one has to understand. Not only that, if the majority of early Christians thought those were the true words of God, why didn’t they pick them? The issue here is: are they the preserved words of God or are they lost?

But Enoch is definitely not part of the Bible, excluding the previous passage. Let’s look at the book of Enoch:

This passage is heresy.

1 Enoch 40:9 “He said to me: ‘The first is Michael, the merciful and patient; the second, who is set over all the diseases and all the wounds of the children of men, is Raphael; the third, who is set over all the powers, is Gabriel; and the fourth, who is set over the repentance that leads to hope for those who inherit eternal life, is named Phanuel.’ These are the four angels of the Lord of Spirits, and the four voices I heard in those days.”

Look at this fourth angel. This is heresy. One does not receive eternal life from an angel. One does not receive forgiveness of sins from an angel. One receives it from the Lord Jesus Christ. This is plain heresy.

One definitely knows it’s one of those Gnostics. These guys are pagans, mystics. During the days when the Bible was written in the first century, there were many false books of the Bible. Do you know what the Gnostics believe (which Paul warned about)? Worship of angels. These doctrines where people uphold angels on a high ladder, a high plane. Not only that, what did Revelation talk about when John bowed before the angel? The angel said, Don’t bow before me.

These so-called books of the Bible, including Enoch, are all heresy. Some of them are comical too. Whoever wrote the book of Tobit and Maccabees must have thought that the guy died like the Wizard of Oz, they must have watched cartoons.

Chapter 13 Mistakes in Modern Bible Versions

DAMNABLE BIBLES that You Want to Avoid! (Salvation)

There are many instances of changes made to verses in the modern Bible translations that change the doctrine of salvation. The gospel message is simple,

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

This is especially disturbing because our entire Christian faith is based upon salvation and inheriting eternal life through Christ Jesus.

Seeing such a fundamental doctrine being manipulated proves the existence of the evil that fuels the modern Bible translations. The enemy is at work trying to change our faith from the inside, and the scholars are falling for it.

1 ) “Son of man save the lost” is gone

Matthew 18:11: “For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.”

Matthew 18:11 is not found in modern Bibles, or it is replaced by a note casting doubt upon its legitimacy. But Matthew 18:11 is a powerful and essential verse pertaining to salvation!

This verse forms the basis of what we believe as Christians. We are of a sinful nature and Christ Jesus came to save us who are lost. Tell me, why would anyone not under the influence of evil wish to remove such a verse from the Bible?

2) LORD is removed at an important point of salvation

Luke 23:42: “And he said unto Jesus, LORD, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.”

Luke 23:42 tells the story of the thief on the cross near Jesus became saved. How does the thief become saved? He acknowledged that Jesus was Lord! He turned over His sin and followed Jesus as God. Modern Bibles remove “Lord!” The whole basis of this man’s salvation was that he recognized Jesus as Lord, but the modern Bible translators felt the need to haphazardly remove it, missing the point of the verse entirely.

3) Son of Man replaced with Son of God

John 9:35-38: “Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is he, LORD, that I might believe on him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. And he said, LORD, I believe. And he worshipped him.”

Modern versions change it to “son of man,” instead of “Son of God.” The phrase “Son of Man” refers to Jesus’ humanity while “Son of God” refers to His divinity. Again, this verse shows that the man believes in Jesus because of His divinity, not His humanity.

4) Baptism does not save

We believe that baptism does not save, but rather is an act of obedience in the life of a saved person. Modern Bible versions will have you believe that baptism itself saves.

Acts 8:36-38: “And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.”

Modern Bibles completely remove verse 37, where Philip asks the Eunuch to make a confession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord before taking the step of becoming baptized. This promotes the falsehood that baptism itself saves! Why would Philip allow someone to be baptized without making the proclamation that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior over their life? He wouldn’t! Removing this verse teaches false doctrine on baptism.

5) Blood of Christ saves, but that is also removed

Forgiveness is attained through the blood of Christ. This is a foundational and essential doctrine that every Christian knows.

Colossians 1:14: “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.”

In modern Bibles, “through His blood” is either put in brackets or removed entirely in modern Bibles. Why would modern scholars take out a phrase that reminds us of the power and intensity of Christ’s sacrifice for us?

It is heresy! Jesus went through the most painful, torturous death possible in order to bring us salvation. We must never remove any part of the Bible that is a testament to that truth. It is unacceptable.

6) We do not grow up in salvation

Salvation is instantaneous, not a process. Even as a newborn babe in Christ, we are already saved and have everlasting life. We don’t have to grow up in salvation, right? Let’s look at 1 Peter 2:2 to see what the Bible has to say:

1 Peter 2:2: “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.”

As people of faith, we grow stronger by taking in the Word of God. This is a beautiful statement about our salvation and growing in faith. But compare it for a moment with the NIV: “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.”

This modern translation mangles the meaning behind this verse. We do not need to “grow up in salvation,” as this translation would have us believe. We already have salvation! It’s not a process, it is instantaneous when we accept Jesus into our hearts. What the Word of God does in our lives is help us to grow in faith and wisdom in the Lord. In other words, we have a personal relationship.

7) You can believe in anyone to get saved

Mark 9:42: “And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.”

This verse makes it clear that you have to believe in Jesus Christ for salvation! It cannot be Muhammed or Buddha. Modern Bibles drop “in me.” But you can’t believe in anyone! It must be Christ. The same thing happens in John 6:47.

8) It is not hard to enter the kingdom of God

Mark 10:24: “And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!”

Modern Bibles take out “trust in riches.” This makes it sound like salvation is hard for everyone, not just those who trust in riches. But that’s not true at all! It’s only hard for those who trust in riches! Otherwise, all we must do is trust in Jesus and proclaim Him as Lord and Savior over our lives.

9) Narrow is the way, not difficult

Another mangling from the modern translation that attempts to push the doctrine of faith being hard is found in the following verse.

Matthew 7:14: “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

Modern Bibles say, “narrow and difficult.” Again I ask, is salvation hard or difficult? Absolutely not!

Deity of Jesus Christ Attacked in Modern Bibles – Does your Bible Steal God from Jesus?

Modern Bible translators weaken the deity of Jesus Christ. The multitude of modern Bible translations available today weaken Christian argument in debate against other religions.

For example, Muslims often ask why we have over two hundred different Christian Bible translations while they have only one. Most Christians scholars can’t answer that one.

The modern Bible advocates will say that we’re trying to find conspiracies within verses that don’t exist. We’re going to explore why this isn’t true.

The following passage has much to say about the power of the name of Jesus:

Philippians 2:10-11: “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

In the most popular modern Bible, the NIV, Jesus is removed thirty-six times! In the ESV, He is removed seventy-three times! That is insane. What possible basis could there be for removing Jesus’ name so often from the Scriptures?

The removal of Lord, Christ, and other titles of deity regarding Jesus are also widespread in modern translations.

The only Bible that preserves the deity of Jesus Christ is the King James Bible.

Matthew 13:51: “Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.”

In this verse, the word Lord is removed.

Matthew 23:8: “But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.”

In this verse, the word Christ is removed.

Mark 1:1: “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.”

In this verse, the phrase Son of God is removed.

There is a wealth of other examples out there. You’d be surprised how numerous they are. But who would want to remove the deity of Jesus from the Bible? Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons don’t believe in the deity of Jesus. But true, Bible-believing Christians do. These removals of Jesus’ deity are the work of the devil.

1 Corinthians 15:47: “The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.”

Adoptionism is a Gnostic teaching. They denied Jesus to be God. They also denied the resurrection. Paul warned of this in his writings.

The Aleph, Vaticanus, and the Papyri manuscripts that modern Bible translators love to use so much are Alexandrian manuscripts. That’s precisely where Gnosticism comes from!

Are these the manuscripts we are going to trust in the translations of God’s Holy Word? Most modern Bibles remove any mention of Christ’s deity from this verse, merely saying “the second man.” But to truly understand who Jesus is, it’s essential to refer to Him as Lord here.

Paul fought so hard to purge Gnostic ideals from the church, and now modern Bible scholars are trying to reintroduce it to the masses. This is clearly the work of Satan.

Is Your Bible from Satan or God? YOU’LL BE SHOCKED | Intermediate Discipleship #1

There are two stances that a Bible believer needs to be solidified so that he can grow more in the right doctrine:
– King James Bible issue
– Dispensationalism

Why does one believe that the King James Version is the perfect pure word of God? The reasons are the following:

There are over 200 modern Bible versions (English translation) out there. It was Satan’s work to instigate more confusion and make it more difficult to find God’s true words. Christians are now then attacked by saying that we have poor translations and that we have so many translations but none is an accurate translation.

Omissions and Contradictions in Modern Bible Translations

Here are the omissions and contradictions that you will find in modern Bible translations in the English language (not King James Version).

1)

1 Corinthians 14: 33: “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”

God says if one changes His words, He takes it very seriously in punishing him or her. That’s why there has to be one perfect Bible.

2)

Revelations 22: 18: “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book”

The following verses are clear examples where the words have been changed.

3)

Matthew 18:11: “For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.”

The ESV, NLT, NIV, NWT, and most modern bibles do not even have this verse. They are either in brackets or in the footnotes.

 

4)

Mark 1:2: “As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. 3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.”

NIV: As written by the prophet Isaiah, “I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way.”
ESV: As written by the prophet Isaiah, “Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way.”
NLT: Just as the prophet Isaiah had written, “Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, and he will prepare your way.”
Both Malachi and Isaiah spoke about this, and we know that God is not a liar to only have inserted one prophet here. Remember, the father of lies in the book of John is Satan.

Luke 23:42: “And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.”

NIV, NLT, ESV: Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
The thief hanged on the cross recognized that Jesus is God. This deity of Jesus Christ is retained in the KJV.

Mark 16:5 “And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you. And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid. Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not. After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country. And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them. Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”

Mark 16 consists of 20 verses. The modern translations have 5 verses, accompanied with either a bracket or a footnote.

John 7-8: “Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.”

NLT/NASV/ESV/NWT: The above verses do not exist in these Bibles.

8)

Acts 1:3: “To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.”

There is infallible proof – there are no weak points in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It’s unfailing and 100% true.

NIV: After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.
ESV: He presented himself to them alive after his suffering on many occasions, appearing to them throughout those forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.
NLT: During the forty days after his suffering and death, he appeared to the apostles from time to time and talked to them about the kingdom of God, proving to them that he was actually alive.

9)

1 Corinthians 15:55: “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?”

NIV: “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”
NKJV: “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”

10)

Luke 16:23: “And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
”

The modern version of NIV refers to the grave as Hades, supporting a Jehovah Witness mindset that hell is a grave.
NIV: “In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.”
The NKJV version also uses the word Hades for grave.

John 1:18: “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”


Why? He did have a beginning – a birth through the virgin Mary. Jesus Christ was born but God did not neither a beginning nor can He be born. But what did the modern versions do?
NASV/NWT: “No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.”

12)

Colossians 1:14: “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins”


The modern versions have removed the phrase “through his blood,” which is a crucial part of the message.

NIV/NLT/ESV: “In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

13)

Philippians 2: 5-8: “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”

NASV/NIV/ESV: “Who, being in very nature[a] God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature[b] of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!”

Acts 8: 36: “And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.”

The modern translations of NLT, NASV, ESV either bracket or remove the phrase, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”

15)

Matthew 7:13: “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

The KJV says that it’s very narrow. Only a minority can enter. But it is not difficult. It’s only the modern versions that try to tell you that it’s difficult.
NKJV: “Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
NLT: “But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.”

16)

Isaiah 14:12: “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!”

Who is the morning star sung about in hymns or read about in Revelations 22:16? It is Jesus Christ. Modern versions have replaced Lucifer’s name with day star, morning star, rising star. It’s almost as if Lucifer is considered as Jesus Christ here.
NIV: “How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!”
ESV: “How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low!”

17)

2 Samuel 21:19: “And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.”

Who killed Goliath? Everyone knows it’s David. But in some modern versions, it contradicts this by saying that it was not David who killed Goliath.

ESV/NASV/NWT: “And there was again war with the Philistines at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim, the Bethlehemite, struck down Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.”

18)

2 Kings 23: 29: “In his days Pharaohnechoh king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates: and king Josiah went against him; and he slew him at Megiddo, when he had seen him.”

2 Chronicles 35:20: “After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Neco king of Egypt came up to fight against Carchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.”

In the KJV version, Josiah went against the king of Egypt both times. But in the modern English translations, NLT/NIV/NKJV: “While Josiah was king, Pharaoh Neco, king of Egypt, went to the Euphrates River to help the king of Assyria. King Josiah and his army marched out to fight him, but King Neco killed him when they met at Megiddo.”

Chapter 16 Mistakes in Modern Bible Versions

Hell and Gehenna – Jehovah’s Witnesses LOVE Modern Bibles

The Bibles of the Jehovah’s Witnesses also contain many unacceptable changes to Biblical doctrine. One stark example of this is their doctrine on hell.

They don’t believe in hell the same way that the Bible teaches, so they have altered its meaning in their Bibles (easily found in modern English translations).

The Greek word for hell in the King James Version is translated into Hades, grave, hellfire, underworld, or Gehenna in their Bibles. That is a wide range of different places they speak of to avoid the doctrine of hell.

Let’s look at this in action.

Hell

Luke 16:23: “And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.”

1 Corinthians 15:55: “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?”

We see in this verse that the lost people are in the same location as the saved saints. Abraham’s bosom is not up in heaven, where it is separate from hell. Hell has different compartments. When they talk about Hades or Sheol for saved people who went down, they are talking about a compartment there for saved people. Jesus did burn in hell for 3 days! There is a place for torment and a place of comfort. This verse shows that distinction clearly.

This is the doctrine of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. They don’t believe in fire. They want to call it Hades (grave) instead of hell. This is also the error found in the NKJV and ESV.

Gehenna

Gehenna is known to be a trash heap or a garbage dump on the outskirts of Jerusalem, where trash was burned. So by changing the wording to Gehenna, they are eliminating the doctrine of hellfire that they so strongly don’t believe in.

Mark 9:43: “And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched.”

Here they use Gehenna for hell. If this is some trash heap on the outskirts of Jerusalem, how does this verse make sense? This is not burning up some trash! This verse talks about hellfire, eternal torment, and everlasting flame!

Let’s look at another passage that replaces “hell” with “Gehenna” in the Bibles of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Matthew 23:15: “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.”

This is another verse where it makes absolutely no sense for Gehenna to be a trash heap outside of Jerusalem. They are just desperately attempting to eliminate the doctrine of hellfire and eternal judgment that they unfaithfully don’t believe in.

This kind of mistake shows why you should never try to “update” the King James Bible no matter how good your intentions are. Doctrines like this that support heresies like the Jehovah’s Witnesses can sprout up as a result of it.

Even with the best of intentions, errors arise and spawn entire heretical versions of the faith because of it. That is why modern translations are so dangerous to the Christian faith.

Chapter 17 Mistakes in Modern Bible Versions

Is the New King James a Good Bible? Kicking the NKJV

The false notion is that the New King James Version is an update of the King James Bible for English speaking people. That is not true. It is a modern Bible that is heresy.

Like other modern Bibles, essential verses have been changed and/or removed due to the influence of evil tainting the translation of these Bibles. This particular translation is even more troubling because of the deception behind the name.

The modern Bible translators would have you believe that this modern translation holds to the same integrity and standards of the original, but this is not the case. They have manipulated the name of God’s perfect Word to deceive people into believing it is merely an updated version of the correct Bible.

Let’s look at some verses that the NKJV messed up to show why the NKJV is merely another heretical modern translation.

Did all Jews go to the promised land?

Hebrews 3:16: “For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.”

The NKJV insists that all the Jews survived and went to the promised land! That’s not what the Bible says. In the original King James Bible, we see that not all Jews made it out of Egypt alive. How can the NKJV be an “updated” version of the KJV when it so strongly contradicts it like this?

Went against or went to the aid

2 Kings 23:29: “In his days Pharaohnechoh king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates: and king Josiah went against him; and he slew him at Megiddo, when he had seen him.”

2 Chronicles 35:20: “After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Charchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.”

The NKJV says that the king of Egypt went to the aid of the king of Assyria in 2 Kings 23, and then against the king of Assyria in 2 Chronicles 35.

The people’s greatness and beauty vs. God’s

Zechariah 9:16-17: “And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land. For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.”

The NKJV version changes this, saying how great is “their” greatness and “their” beauty. Instead of bragging about the goodness of God, they brag about the goodness of humanity! How can such a twisted and deceitful “correction” possibly be an “update” of the King James Bible?

Ruthless vs. strong men retain riches

Proverbs 11:16: “A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.”

NKJV says ruthless men retain riches! They changed the context. Why would they change “strong” to “ruthless?” There is a big difference between those words! Ruthless paints the men spoken about in a very negative light, while strong retains a positive outlook at these men. Godly men are strong. Wicked men are ruthless. These change to the verse ruins the context and message it’s trying to convey.

Jesus’ humility vs. who he helps

Jesus humbled Himself to become one of us. This is a profound and unbelievable truth of the Gospel. In the book of Hebrews, God beautifully expresses this truth.

Hebrews 2:16: “For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.”

The message of this verse is obvious. But it is almost unrecognizable in the NIV! It there reads, “For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants.” This verse was not speaking about who it is that Jesus helps: it spoke about the nature that Jesus took on during His earthly ministry.

New King James Bible Teaches More Blasphemy

The New King James Version is particularly deceptive because it uses the name of God’s perfect Word. It’s a trick of Satan, meant to deceive those looking for the true King James Bible.

It claims to be the same thing as the real King James Bible, simply with updated language. But that’s not true. We will explore why.

The preparations of the heart belong to man or God?

Proverbs 16:1: “The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.”

This verse is twisted in the New King James Version. It reads, “The preparations of the heart BELONG to man.” This is not an accurate representation of the King James Bible like they say it is! It takes the credit that belongs to God and gives it to imperfect man instead.

Chastening is biblical, but watered down in the NKJV

Proverbs 19:18: “Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.”

The New King James Version says, “do not set your heart on his destruction.” This is a watered-down version meant to fit the liberal agenda of the world today.

Divination is promoted in the NKJV?

Proverbs 16:10: “A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment.”

The New King James Version says, “divination is on the lips of the king.” The New King James Bible is promoting witchcraft! How is divination the same thing as a divine sentence? Divination is witchcraft, which the real Word of God would never promote.

A complete change of direction on God’s word

Proverbs 25:23: “The north wind driveth away rain: so doth an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.”

The New King James Bible says that the north wind brings rain. This is a changing of God’s Word in a disturbing way.

Salvation is conditional on your works?

1 Corinthians 1:18: “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”

The New King James Version says being saved. That is heresy! We are not being saved. We are already saved! Our salvation is not conditional: it has already been achieved.

Jesus was raised for our justification?

Romans 4:25: “Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.”

We believe that Jesus died for our sin and was raised so we could become justified. The New King James Versions changes this in a blasphemous way. They say that Jesus was raised because of our justification. Jesus didn’t have to rise again because of our justification! He rose to attain that justification for us!

Words of a talebearer are wounds or dessert?

Proverbs 18:8: “The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.”

The New King James Version says that the words of a talebearer are like a dessert! That’s the complete opposite meaning! If that’s the case, how can this possibly be the same Bible?

Chapter 18 Mistakes in Modern Bible Versions

King James Bible Has Pagan Churches

Acts 19:37: “For ye have brought hither these men, which are neither robbers of churches, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess.”

Detractors of the King James Bible will say that there is an error in this verse in the King James Bible. It should say “temples,” and not churches. This is because historically, the pagans did not have church buildings yet. What they had were temples. So they say there were no churches at that time.

If you look up the word in Greek in Strong’s Concordance, it translates to “sacred place.” If you look at Kittles Lexicon, it shows that “churches” are also “a sacred place.” The Oxford Greek Dictionary defines the Greek word as “temple, churches.” In Greek languages, temple and church could be the same thing! The King James Bible translators did not inaccurately translate the Bible. Temples and churches mean the same thing in Greek: “a sacred place.”

Webster’s Dictionary 1828 defines church as “a temple of God,” or “a house consecrated as a worship of God.” A house consecrated is a sacred place. There are a wealth of other resources which use “church” and “temple” interchangeably (Matthew Henry commentary, etc.). This means that this supposed “error” in the King James Bible is not an error at all.

How do they know historically that the pagans didn’t have buildings at the time? Just because they don’t have documents and evidence does mean it didn’t happen. Also, there was paganism going on in the church at the time!

Revelation 2:12-23: “And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate. Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.”

This passage shows that there was paganism going on in a multitude of churches at that time. That’s what Jesus is calling out in this passage. So, this supposed “error” in the King James Bible once again only goes to show a more profound revelation: this time, of paganism within churches themselves.

Chapter 19 Mistakes in Modern Bible Versions

KJV is Superior to Originals!

The King James Bible is superior to the Textus Receptus, Sinaiticus, Vaticanus, Papyri, Greek manuscripts, Hebrew manuscripts, and all other manuscripts that brought forth modern versions.

It’s superior even to the Greek and Hebrew! Not only that, but it’s superior to the ORIGINALS!

Why do we say that?

#1. The originals are not here anymore

The King James Version is superior to all else because the originals aren’t even here in modern times. They are lost to time.

When biblical scholars refer to the original manuscripts, they refer to copies of the original manuscript.

#2. The originals are not bestsellers

Not only that, but the King James Bible has sold billions while the originals don’t even exist anymore.

#3. KJV was the one that can be accredited for the revivals

The originals didn’t produce the revivals: the spiritual success of America. Queen Victoria was the longest reigning monarchy at that time and she credited the King James Bible for that.

#4. KJV is written in English, a language most people can read

We can’t read the originals, even if they aren’t here. Most of us can’t even read or understand Biblical Greek and/or Hebrew! God knew this and preserved a Bible for us that we can read in English translation.

#5. When God translates something from the original, it’s even better

The Bible shows that when God translates something from an original that it’s even better.

2 Samuel 3:10: “To translate the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beersheba.”

Was David’s Kingdom, which was translated from Saul’s, even better? Absolutely yes!

Our salvation is based on a translation!

Colossians 1:13: “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.”

Enoch was raptured out of the world before God’s judgment. We believe we will also be translated before God’s judgment on the Earth.

Hebrews 11:5: “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”

The translation is superior to the original.

 

Because of the above five reasons, we can see that the KJV is superior to the originals.

Chapter 20 Mistakes in Modern Bible Versions

Easter in the Bible? Easter or Passover

Many detractors of the King James Bible will point to Acts 12 and argue that it should be “Passover” instead of Easter, based on the original Greek. Because of the Greek word “Pascha,” (Pascha is Greek for Passover) they accuse the King James Version of teaching paganism!

Where does the word “Easter” occur in the Bible?

Acts 12:4: “And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.”

How do we know the King James Bible is still correct, even with the knowledge of the word Pascha?

If you look at all the Greek lexicons, you will find ones that will show the word for Easter instead of Passover. These detractors are picking and choosing which word they want to use to further their argument. But that’s not right. If we look at the Oxford Greek Dictionary, we’ll get the word for Easter instead of Passover.

In the book The Two Babylons, the author, Alexander Hislop describes how “Pascha” can also be known as Easter Sunday! The author of that book was diving into ancient sources, so we can trust what he says.

If we type “Pascha” in the online Greek dictionary, it will also give us Easter.

This means that the King James Bible is accurate. To determine how the word is to be used, all you have to do is look at the context.

The context

Acts 12:3: “And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)”

Looking at the context, we see that the days of unleavened bread precede Easter. Abib, the first month on the Jewish calendar, starts somewhere between March and April.

Exodus 12: “And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying, This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof. And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire. And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord’s passover. For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever. Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel. And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you. And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever. In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.”

This is the Passover! Is this what we do at Easter? Absolutely not! This is not what God’s Word is talking about in Acts 12.

Acts 12:3 said the days of unleavened bread were done, then it was “Pascha.” Well, it couldn’t have been Passover, because as we see clearly in Exodus twelve, Passover takes place BEFORE the days of unleavened bread! But Acts 12:3 tells us the days of unleavened bread had already passed. So, the King James Version is correct in translating “Pascha” as Easter.

What is Easter?

According to Webster 1828, easter is a festival of the Christian church observed in commemoration of our Savior’s resurrection (Jesus Christ). It answers to the pascha or passover of the Hebrews, and most nations still give it this name, pascha, pask, paque.

However, Easter occurs in the spring equinox, is also related to pagan celebrations, related to the goddess of spring and symbols of fertility e.g. eggs and rabbits. Today, although church service is being held and it’s taken as a Christian celebration, it has an uncertain origin, with only one thing we are sure about, there is no origin/recommended to celebrate in the Bible.

Chapter 21 Mistakes in Modern Bible Versions

KJV Translators Added Words in the Bible! (Use of Italics)

One of the criticisms of the King James Bible is the use of italics. Those italicized words represent the fact that those words were not in the original. The KJV critics say they added words, getting rid of the true original. But this is not true. When translating something into another language, sometimes adding words is necessary to make a sentence make sense because of the changes between grammar and syntax.

Let’s look at an example to get some context.

Zechariah 11:12-13: “And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. And the Lord said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the Lord.”

In this passage, the word “pieces” is italicized. This shows the amount of silver. Isn’t that important information? It could be 20 bags without it! If the word “pieces” wasn’t added, how would we know what the amount of silver?

A word-for-word translation would be literal jargon. They had to add words to make it make sense. It’s common sense and an essential aspect of translation. A straight word-for-word translation is not possible as it would come out a mess. Part of translation involves piecing things together in the language that the text is being translated into because the words do not match up one for one between languages.

If we look at the Gospel of Matthew, we can see why distinguishing the amount of silver in Zechariah 11:12-13 was so important.

Matthew 27:9: “Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value.”

“Pieces” is not italicized in this verse, but the apostle Matthew used the italicized word because the value it represented was important. This is clear evidence of the value of the italicized words.

Let’s look at another example.

Habakkuk 1:5: “Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days which ye will not believe, though it be told you.”

”You” is italicized in this verse. It’s important because it tells us who the person is. Without this word, we wouldn’t know who the subject of the sentence was.

Acts 13:41: “Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.”

Luke revisits the verse from Habakkuk, using the italics from the referenced verse. Those italicized words are essential and corroborated by their use later on in the Scriptures.

Why KJV Should “Add” to God’s Word Part 2

1 Corinthians 9:9: “For it is written in the law of Moses, thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?”

This verse is referring to Deuteronomy 25:4, which says, “Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn.”

Modern Bible scholars would say that using the word “corn” was an error in the King James Bible in Deuteronomy 25:4 because the word “corn” did not exist in that century. But that’s not true! Paul uses the same word when referring back to that verse! So, I ask you this: are you going to believe Paul, who wrote so much of our New Testament, or modern Bible scholars on this matter?

Matthew 4:4: “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” (not italicized)

Deuteronomy 8:3: “And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.” (italicized)

In this verse, “word” is italicized. How do we know that it is correct? All we have to do is look back at Matthew 4:4. When referring back to this verse, Jesus uses “word” when He repeats the verse.

2 Samuel 21:19: “And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.”

In this verse, the word brother is italicized. So if you take out the word “brother,” it then says that Elhanan killed Goliath! But we know this to be not true. David killed Goliath. We all know that beyond a shadow of a doubt. So these italicized words are essential.

1 John 2:23: “Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.”

Modern Bible scholars say the second half of this verse should not be there because most Greek manuscripts do not support it. But this verse is endorsed by the precious Alexandrian manuscripts they hold so dear.

Psalm 7:11 and Psalm 34:16-17 are both Bible verses that have italics. If the italics are removed, we’ll have a major doctrine problem.

Chapter 22 Mistakes in Modern Bible Versions

KJV vs. Modern Catholic Bibles

Roman Catholics influence many modern Bibles. Modern Bible scholars work with modern Catholic scholars. Today’s Catholics are working on the doctrines in your Bible! We know how different our doctrine is from theirs. Why then would we be so accepting of people practicing a heretical faith working on the text of our Bibles?

Does a Christian want the doctrine of the Catholics showing up in their Bible? Absolutely not! These are the same “Christians” that worship Mary as divine, praying to her, confessing our sins to priest (who they call Father!), and hold so many other doctrines that are not compatible with our faith. When these Catholic scholars are working on our Bibles, it’s an open door to their views of the faith creeping into our own.

Kurt Aland (of the Nestle-Aland Greek New Testament) himself wrote, “By this we mean the text officially published and distributed by the United Bible Societies and also officially by the Catholic Church, a significant new factor in the present scene. In an event, the new present standard text is a reality and as a sole text distributed by the United Bible Societies and by the corresponding offices of the Roman Catholic Church, an inconceivable situation until quite recently.” He admits that this partnership is happening, and also its inconceivable nature! It’s inconceivable between two opposing doctrines are meshing in an unfortunate and harmful way to the true doctrine of the Bible.

1987 annual report of the United Bible Society, page 193: “Of the 573 current UBS projects of Scripture translation, there is active Roman Catholic participation in 161, and there have been 160 interconfessional Bibles published since 1968.” This shows the massive influence of Catholicism on modern Bible translations. It’s not just a small, isolated group. This is an issue that is much bigger than we could ever imagine. The influence of Catholicism on our modern Bibles is rampant.

Let’s see how this Catholic influence has affected modern Bible translations.

Salvation is difficult?

Matthew 7:14: “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

The modern Bibles change “narrow” to difficult. Is salvation difficult? Not at all! All we must do is accept Christ’s free gift. This “difficultness” of salvation is the influence of Catholic doctrine on modern Bibles!

Catholic doctrine of confession

James 5:16: “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

They have changed it to “confess your sins to one another.” We confess what kind of fault we’ve done to each other, but we shouldn’t be confessing our secret sins! In the NKJV it says, “confess your trespasses, one to another.” Who teaches about confessing your sins? Catholics! Never confess your sins to man, only God. They confess their sins to their priests, but this is not the biblical way. Even so, their doctrine on confession is penetrating modern Bibles and perverting the Word of God.

Work for your salvation

The Catholic scholars involved in the work of translating modern Bibles also want you to believe that you have to work for your salvation, even after coming to the faith.

1 Corinthians 1:18: “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”

Christians ARE saved. Our salvation is done. It is not a process. Christians ARE saved, not “being” saved, as the modern Bibles have changed it to.

Baptism is required for salvation? No!

Acts 8:36-38: “And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.“

Acts 8:36-38, which we discussed earlier, supports the Catholic doctrine of baptism for salvation. You have to believe in Christ for salvation, and then you get baptized. Modern Bibles have taken out verse 37! The NKJV and NLT mark verse 37 in brackets and casts doubt as to whether or not it should be in there. This promotes the Catholic doctrine of baptism bringing salvation and not simply accepting the free gift given by Christ.

Chapter 23 Mistakes in Modern Bible Versions

Lots of Bible Proofs for KJV Translation – Perfect Translation of the Copies

The King James Bible is a translation. We’re not claiming that it’s not. We’re claiming that God’s Word is the perfect translation, as we don’t have the originals anymore. We get our translations from copies of the original. Modern Bible scholars say that only the originals are perfect and the copies and translations cannot be perfect. But we believe that inspiration is perfect in the copies, and that preservation has kept them intact. We believe that every verse of the King James Bible has been preserved and is by divine inspiration. We believe that the translation is perfect too.

The King James Bible comes from the Textus Receptus (TR), which are copies. We believe that perfection has been preserved all the way through to translation.

Translation has to be perfect

The New Testament has verses translated from a different language in Old Testament.

Matthew 4:10: “Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”

Here, Jesus is speaking a verse from the Old Testament. Matthew is translating it into Greek, though it was originally written in Hebrew! We take this verse to be divinely inspired Scripture, even though it is a translation. So why can’t the translation of the King James Bible likewise be perfect? Jesus was quoting Deuteronomy 6:13, which says, “Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.”

Luke 4:12: “And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.”

Jesus was quoting Deuteronomy 6:16: “Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.”
So many verses in the New Testament are Greek translations of Old Testament Hebrew.

1 Corinthians 9:9: “For it is written in the law of Moses, thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?”

Romans 9:17: “For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.”

Ezra had to translate from another heathen language into the Hebrew Old Testament.

Ezra 4:7-16: “And in the days of Artaxerxes wrote Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabeel, and the rest of their companions, unto Artaxerxes king of Persia; and the writing of the letter was written in the Syrian tongue, and interpreted in the Syrian tongue. Rehum the chancellor and Shimshai the scribe wrote a letter against Jerusalem to Artaxerxes the king in this sort. Then wrote Rehum the chancellor, and Shimshai the scribe, and the rest of their companions; the Dinaites, the Apharsathchites, the Tarpelites, the Apharsites, the Archevites, the Babylonians, the Susanchites, the Dehavites, and the Elamites, And the rest of the nations whom the great and noble Asnapper brought over, and set in the cities of Samaria, and the rest that are on this side the river, and at such a time. This is the copy of the letter that they sent unto him, even unto Artaxerxes the king; Thy servants the men on this side the river, and at such a time. Be it known unto the king, that the Jews which came up from thee to us are come unto Jerusalem, building the rebellious and the bad city, and have set up the walls thereof, and joined the foundations. Be it known now unto the king, that, if this city be builded, and the walls set up again, then will they not pay toll, tribute, and custom, and so thou shalt endamage the revenue of the kings. Now because we have maintenance from the king’s palace, and it was not meet for us to see the king’s dishonour, therefore have we sent and certified the king; That search may be made in the book of the records of thy fathers: so shalt thou find in the book of the records, and know that this city is a rebellious city, and hurtful unto kings and provinces, and that they have moved sedition within the same of old time: for which cause was this city destroyed. We certify the king that, if this city be builded again, and the walls thereof set up, by this means thou shalt have no portion on this side the river.”

This was originally written in Syrian but translated into Hebrew for the Old Testament. Modern scholars will “chop” off these sections since they do not affect doctrine. So we see that translations being perfect and divinely inspired is not just a New Testament phenomenon.

Another Old Testament passage that we know to be translated from another language into Hebrew is:

Genesis 42:23: “And they knew not that Joseph understood them; for he spake unto them by an interpreter.”

Joseph himself spoke to his brothers through an interpreter. This passage is further proof that God can divinely inspire translations and has done so throughout the Old and New Testaments.

Even God Himself translated from a heathen language into His own language.

Exodus 14:1-4: “And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baalzephon: before it shall ye encamp by the sea. For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in. And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the Lord. And they did so.”

If God Himself translated from Egyptian into His own language, why do some deny that translations are imperfect?

Acts 21:40-Acts 22:1-21: “And when he had given him licence, Paul stood on the stairs, and beckoned with the hand unto the people. And when there was made a great silence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew tongue, saying, Men, brethren, and fathers, hear ye my defence which I make now unto you. (And when they heard that he spake in the Hebrew tongue to them, they kept the more silence: and he saith,) I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.  And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women. As also the high priest doth bear me witness, and all the estate of the elders: from whom also I received letters unto the brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them which were there bound unto Jerusalem, for to be punished. And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me. And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest. And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me. And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do. And when I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of them that were with me, I came into Damascus. And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there, Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive thy sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him. And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth. For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard. And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. And it came to pass, that, when I was come again to Jerusalem, even while I prayed in the temple, I was in a trance; And saw him saying unto me, Make haste, and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem: for they will not receive thy testimony concerning me. And I said, Lord, they know that I imprisoned and beat in every synagogue them that believed on thee: And when the blood of thy martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by, and consenting unto his death, and kept the raiment of them that slew him. And he said unto me, Depart: for I will send thee far hence unto the Gentiles.”

This ENTIRE passage was originally spoken in Hebrew but then translated into Greek for the New Testament, and it is still considered perfect, divinely inspired Scripture.

Chapter 24 Mistakes in Modern Bible Versions

Missing or Corrupted Verses in the Modern Bibles

All the Bible versions except the King James Version of the Bible are Satanic. Pastor Gene Kim emphasizes that the modern Bibles have manipulated the teachings and message of Jesus, especially on topics of eternal salvation. He discourages this perception that it is just a conspiracy theory rather than a Satanic act.

All the modern Bibles are paving the way to the New World Order, and Satan uses it. For manuscript evidence, you can read this article. God promised to preserve His word, and that is found in the KJV.

Here are some verses from the modern version of Bibles that altered the literal meanings of the scriptures, and after having read these altered verses, anyone would think deeply.

1) Divine exchanged with divination

Proverbs 16:10 “A divine sentence is in the lips of the king.”

On the contrary, the New King James Version (NKJV) says that “Divination is on the lips of the king.”
Here, the word `divine` is exchanged with `divination.` divination refers to something cultic.

2) Lucifer takes the place of Jesus

Isaiah 14:12 “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations”.

The New International Version of the Bible (NIV) did something terrible. It says, “How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn.” It is a massive mistake because “Morning star” in the KJV refers to Jesus Christ.

Revelations 22:16 “I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”

KJV says that Jesus is the morning star but NIV says Lucifer is the morning star, which means that NIV is saying that Jesus Christ is the Lucifer. It is rubbish.

The English Standard Version of the Bible (ESV) says “how are you fallen from heaven, O day star, son of dawn.” `Day star` must be Jesus Christ because in 2 Peter 1:19 we read that “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts.” So it is clear that `Day star` is Jesus Christ. Many other modern versions of the Bible have made the same awful mistake and have made Satan, the day star.

Can anyone say that it is just a conspiracy theory and is not a satanic act? Can you believe for even a moment that Satan becomes the morning star or day star?

3) God is a spirit or God is spirit

John 4:24 “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

Here King James Version has associated a distinction with the God that he is ‘a Spirit.` He is not like other spirits nor is an ordinary spirit but he is ‘a spirit.` This `a’ is the distinctive word, but again modern versions of the Bible made the same horrifying mistake.

For instance, New International Version (NIV) says, “God is spirit.” NIV has removed the distinction of being unique from God and says he is just spirit, not ‘a spirit.’ God is not all the spirits in the universe, unlike what the New age people believe in.

Many other bibles, such as New Living Translation (NLT), English Standard Version (ESV), New American Standard Bible (NASB), New King James Version (NKJV), Living Bible, etc., made the same error, removing the divine nature of God.

4) Is the Mark of the Beast on you or in you?

The next verse would make you think about what New World Order would want you to do.

Revelation 13:16 “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads.”

It is because of this verse that people are concerned about the implantation of chips. Fox News has reported that by implanting a chip in your hand or in your forehead, you will be able to buy and sell whatever you want. This implantation of a chip will surely change the credit card system.

Now, look at the modern versions of the Bible. The New International Version (NIV) says, “to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead.”

Behold! Did you see what just happened? NIV altered the wording again. KJV said in their right hand or in their forehead, but NIV noted on his right hand or on his forehead. Someone may conclude after reading this verse from the NIV or other modern versions that some sticker or a tattoo is the mark of the beast. Similarly, the American Standard Version, The Bible in Basic English, ESV, God’s Word Translation, Good News Bible, The Message Bible, New Century Version of the Bible, New King James Version of the Bible, New Living Translation, New Revised Standard Bible all made the same mistake.

An occultist defends the modern Bibles

Manley P. Hall is an occultist, and he says “To make things right we will have to undo much that is cherished error. The problem of revising the Bible shows how difficult it is to do this. For the last hundred years, we have been trying to get out an edition of the Bible that is reasonably correct, but nobody wants it. What is wanted is the good old King James version, every jot and tittle of it, because most people are convinced that God dictated the Bible to King James in English.”
He is clearly insisting that it was the KJV believers who slowed down the works of the modern Bible. Those Christians who force other Christians to have a firm belief in modern versions of the Bible will surely be accountable for their sin.

Manley P. Hall again said that “The King James Version of the Holy Bible, this translation teams with error and is hopelessly unreliable from a scholastic viewpoint, yet popular acceptance has caused this version of the Holy Writ to become to be recognized as infallible so that the religious public will now reject a correct translation. In fact, it has already shown its attitude in the matter by refusing a revised edition for over 300 years. Erroneous theological notions have been circulated, deriving their authority from the King James translation of the Bible.”

He believed that the verses in the KJV taught these doctrines that he didn’t agree with, that is why he put out another bible to correct those “wrong theological notions.”

Other Frightening Changes Found in Modern Bible Verses

1) Study, not just “be diligent” about the BIble

2 Timothy 2:15: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

All modern Bibles change “study” to “be diligent.” This verse tells us how we are to approach Scripture! We must be more than being diligent. We must study the Bible. This is the only verse that tells you how to study the Word as a dispensationalist! This verse tells us we must be “rightly dividing” God’s Word, not “rightly handling,” as modern Bibles will put it.

What it all boils down to is that Christians have to study and rightly divide Scripture. Modern Bibles won’t tell us that.

2) Abstain, not reject all appearance of evil

1 Thessalonians 5:22: “Abstain from all appearance of evil.”

There are certain things we won’t say, watch, or do as believers because we must avoid appearances of evil. We are committed to providing a true testimony of Christ to the world. Modern Bibles translate this as “form” or “kind” of evil. This verse is crucial for our lives as Bible believers! The meaning is changed too drastically to ignore.

Avoiding an appearance of evil is much different than the NIV telling us to “reject every kind of evil.” The KJV speaks to our witness as believers, while the NIV points to something else entirely.

3) Fast and pray to remove demons

Mark 9:29: “And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.”

Our next example, Mark 9:29, doesn’t even exist in modern Bibles! This verse is crucial because it tells us how to rid ourselves of demonic influences. Jesus tells us that it is by fasting and prayer combined that we remove demons.

4)Again, fasting is removed

Matthew 17:21: “Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.”

Matthew 17:21 removes fasting. But we must not forget the importance of fasting! Jesus tells us it’s an essential part of casting out demons! How are we to follow His guidance as our healer and teacher when His words are misconstrued in this way?

5)The Bible warns about science!

1 Timothy 6:20: “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called.”

This is the only verse in the entire Bible that warns about false science. In modern Bibles, “science” is replaced with “knowledge.” We must understand the difference between science and knowledge. They are two entirely different things. The Oxford dictionary defines knowledge as “facts, information, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.” Science, on the other hand, is a discipline in which we attempt to ascertain an understanding of the physical world through observation. These are entirely two different things, but modern Bibles would have you think they are one and the same.

6) Evidence of the Trinity

1 John 5:7: “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

It has been removed in modern Bibles. Without it, we completely lose the right and crucial doctrine of the Trinity!

7) Calvary is in the Bible

Luke 23:33: “And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.”

“Calvary” is replaced with “the skull” in modern Bible translations.

This is just bizarre. The place was known as Calvary. Calling it “the skull” is looking at it solely from a Hebrew context, but we are not reading a Hebrew Bible: we are reading an English one.

As we know from Matthew 7:18, a good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. How do the above translations stack up to the KJV?

Chapter 25 Mistakes in Modern Bible Versions

Original Greek Supports KJV Words – Ye, You, Thou, Thee

People have a hard time with the words thou, thee, and ye. Modern Bibles use “you” to simplify it. This is a problem. Greek has many forms of the word “you.” There is a singular form, a plural form, a subject form, and an accusative form. God has a purpose for having different types of “you.”

Thou=singular subject.
Thee= singular accusative (direct object).
Ye=plural subject.
You=accusative (direct object) plural.

KJV is closer to Greek because Greek has all these forms of “you.”

Exodus 16:26: “Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.”

Ye here means that God is speaking to all of the children of Israel. God says Ye to Moses because it’s not just Moses who disobeyed, but all the children of Israel! If we change that to “you,” it makes Moses the only one who was disobedient! That’s not true—examples like this show how the King James Bible is closer to the original Greek.

John 3:4-5,7: “Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”

In verse 7, Ye is used (everyone). I say unto thee (singular, speaking to Nicodemus in verse 5). Verse 7, “ye” must be born again, not “you.” Everyone must be born again! Not just Nicodemus. When you replace these differing words with a simple “you,” this verse sounds like Jesus is saying that only Nicodemus must be born again, not everyone.

Matthew 26:64: “Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.”

When Jesus says, “Thou hast said,” Jesus is speaking to Caiaphas, the High Priest. When He says “ye”, He is addressing the rest of the Sanhedrin judging Him. If you replace both of these words with “you,” it will make it impossible to distinguish who He is speaking to at any given moment.

Luke 9:40: “And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not. And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.”

Jesus was speaking to His disciples (you which is plural), and then he was speaking back to the father (thy son).

Isaiah 33:2-4: “O Lord, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble. At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered. And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpiller: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.”

Was he speaking to the people, or was he speaking to God? In verse 2, he spoke to God, and in verse 4, he spoke to the people! Making these necessary types of distinctions is not possible with a general “you.” Generalizing things in such a way can seriously inhibit our comprehension of Scripture in the correct way.

Chapter 26 Mistakes in Modern Bible Versions

Proof that KJV Words are Not in the Original Greek!

Some certain phrases and idioms exist in different times and places. There were some in ancient times that we don’t have today and vice-versa.

“To cut the same in his teeth” is found in the KJV (Matthew 27:44), which means “to abrade or abuse one for something”, but that is not an accurate translation from Greek. “God forbid” is found in the KJV. But in Greek, that phrase would be translated to “may it not be so.”

Critics will argue that the KJV does not always follow the original Greek. That’s true! These types of idioms would not have existed in those times. So, does that mean that the King James Bible is mistaken and false for translating these passages in this way?

When we find Greek and Hebrew errors in the KJV, the best argument to combat them is to ask the following question:

Is the King James Bible a Greek Bible or a Hebrew Bible?

No! It’s an English Bible! If it’s an English Bible, shouldn’t it be written in the type of language that English-speaking people understand, including the idioms of that language?

You see English idioms in the KJV because it’s an English Bible. If God’s going to give you the best Bible, He’s going to give you the best Bible in your language. If one dumbs down the language of the King James Bible, they are taking away the beauty and power of the language. If God wants to give Christians the best Bible, which era of English language will He give them? The version of English that scholars say is the best form of the English language: Shakespearean, Elizabethan English.

Chapter 27 Mistakes in Modern Bible Versions

Satan is the Author of Today’s Bibles!

Many people think that different Bible translations are not an issue, but they are. Satan himself is the author of modern Bible translations. We believe that God NEVER lies. Keep that in mind as we look through some Bible verses together.

Hebrews 3:15-17: “While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?” 

Not everyone came out of Egypt safely into the Promised Land. Some perished along the way. But modern Bible translations write that all the Jews were killed and that none of them entered the Promised Land. We know that’s not true! These modern Bible translations are making God out to be a liar. 

Mark 1:2-3: “As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.” 

Modern Bible translation will not say “written in the prophets” but rather “written in Isaiah.” The problem with this is that verse 2 is quoted by Malachi, and verse 3 by Isaiah. It would be a lie to say written in Isaiah since Malachi also prophesied the same.

2 Chronicles 35:20: “After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Charchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.”

2 Kings 23:29: “In his days Pharaohnechoh king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates: and king Josiah went against him; and he slew him at Megiddo, when he had seen him.”

Modern Bibles actually say that he went up to the aid of the king of Assyria, making these two passages contradict one another! It is an error in multiple ways. 

2 Samuel 21:19: “And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.” 

Notice that Elhanan killed the brother of Goliath. The modern Bible translations say that Elhanan didn’t kill Goliath’s brother, but Goliath himself!

1 Chronicles 20:5: “And there was war again with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear staff was like a weaver’s beam.” 

This verse is further evidence of God’s truth. 

John 7:6-10: “Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready. The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. Lo ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast: for my time is not yet full come. When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee. But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.” 

Modern Bibles omit the word “yet.” That makes the verse contradictory in and of itself, making a liar out of Jesus.

Modern Bibles lie constantly

In John 8:44, Jesus makes it abundantly clear who the author of lies truly is:

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” 

Modern Bibles are of the devil because they push the lies of Satan to the masses.

Chapter 28 Mistakes in Modern Bible Versions

Something Evil in ALL BIBLES…Except One!

As Bible-believing Christians, we believe the KJV (King James Version) is the perfect word of God. If we believe that all Bibles are all the same and that there is no single perfect Bible then we will come across contradictions and problems when determining whether or not we are following the correct doctrine. This encompasses the importance of demanding a perfect Bible. That being said, modern Bibles cannot be the perfect word of God since they have many doctrinal errors which will be covered.

Those who believe in KJV only are criticized for being biased. However, it only takes one look at other verses in these modern Bibles to know that all other versions except KJV have doctrinal issues. Even James White knows that there are doctrinal issues with the modern versions but falsely believes these mistakes do not affect doctrine.

These are some of the modern Bibles that have doctrinal issues, and not necessarily with the verses presented here (some preserve these verses but may alter another one and vice versa).

Doctrinal issues presented by modern Bibles

#1 God is removed

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Beginning with 1 Timothy 3, we see that verse 16 begins with ‘God’. Modern Bibles cross out “God” and replaced it with ‘He’. By replacing ‘God’ with ‘He’ the divinity of Jesus is taken away. This is seen in Jehovah’s Witnesses’ bibles.

#2 “yet” is removed

John 7:8 Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast: for my time is not yet full come.

Even a single word that is replaced or omitted changes the meaning of a verse. For instance, look at John 7:8. The word ‘yet’ is omitted from the verse, so the meaning changes as well. Originally, Jesus states that he will not go to the feast presently (in the context of the verse) but later in verse 10 it states that he goes to the feast. There is no contradiction here because he mentioned the word ‘yet’ in verse 8 so it makes sense that he was going to the feast at a later time. Modern versions portray Jesus as a liar when they omit yet. Verse 8 states that Jesus will not go to the feast and later in verse 10 it mentions that he went to the feast, which is a contradiction.

#3 “prophets” is removed, which makes the Bible a liar

Mark 1:2-3 As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

In this verse, God is made a liar when modern translations replace ‘prophets’ with ‘Isaiah’, This is incorrect because it is not just Isaiah speaking but Malachi as well. Malachi is speaking in verse 2 while Isaiah speaks in verse 3.

#4 Who killed Goliath?

2 Samuel 21:19 And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.

God, again, is made a liar by these modern translations when they fail to recall who killed Goliath (David obviously). It would seem that italicized words are not inspired by God but added by KJV translators so the words “the brother of” were omitted, making Elhanan the one who killed Goliath.

#5 The king of Egypt went to the aid of or against Assyria?

2 Kings 23:29 In his days Pharaohnechoh king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates: and king Josiah went against him; and he slew him at Megiddo, when he had seen him.

2 Chronicles 35:20  After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Charchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.

Not all Bibles are the same, especially not the KJV and the NKJV as some may claim. To prove this, first, we need to look at 2 Kings 23 where verse 29 states that king Josiah was against Necho king of Egypt, even stating that king Josiah had killed him. The same story is repeated in 2 Chronicles 35 where king Josiah goes against the Egyptian king. The NKJV however, replaces the word ‘against” and states that Josiah went to aid Necho which is not true.

#6 Joshua and Caleb died in the wilderness?

Hebrews 3:16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.”

What this verse is saying is that some (Israelites) that heard, provoked God so not everyone came out of Egypt by Moses. If you recall, Joshua and Caleb were some of the few (not including those 20 and under at the time) that came out of the wilderness with Moses. Hebrews 3:16 is reiterating the fact that not everyone came out of Egypt, meaning that there were some survivors. Contrary to this, modern translations state that everyone died in the wilderness including Joshua and Caleb.

#7 “Jesus’ blood” is removed

Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

As Christians, the blood of Jesus is very important to us since it is what washes away our sin. Modern translations don’t see the importance in Jesus’ blood and they demonstrate that by dropping ‘through his blood’ in this verse.

#8 No difference between hell and grave?

1 Corinthians 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

Luke 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Some people, like Jehovah’s Witnesses, deny the existence of Hell, instead, they call it Hades, which refers to the grave. Looking at the KJV, we notice a difference between Hell and the grave, specifically in 1 Corinthians and the book of Luke. Modern translations, however, do not make a distinction between Hell and the grave and just replace either word with Hades. This is wrong because there is a clear difference between the grave and Hell.

#9 Is the trinity one God, or not?

1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

This verse supports the Holy Trinity or the Godhead. The modern translations get rid of the doctrine of the Trinity being one God.

#10 Did Jesus cast off His deity?

Philippians 2:5-7 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Again, these modern versions fail in that they make Jesus deny his own divinity. This verse clearly states that Jesus is God as he did not think it was “robbery to be equal to God”. Modern versions, however, state that Jesus cast off his deity.

More examples

All modern bibles have these sort of doctrinal errors which is why it is such a big deal that we follow the correct bible, namely the King James Bible.

If that wasn’t enough, modern bibles omit a big part of Mark 16 as well as some verses from John 7 and 8. Acts 8 provides another big doctrinal error when we examine modern translations, namely water baptism for salvation, which we know is not necessary. As Christians, we know that our salvation is tied with our belief in Jesus Christ and once we believe (and are consequently saved), then we can get baptized. Modern bibles completely get rid of the faith in Jesus-based salvation in Acts 8 and simply state water baptism as the means for salvation. Yet another example of how omitting or changing words in Scripture changes right doctrine.

Acts 8:36-37 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

The Bible forces victims to marry rapists?

Deuteronomy 22:28-29 (NIV) says, “If a man happens to meet a virgin, who is not pledged to be married, and RAPES her and they are discovered, he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the young woman for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.”

The NKJV, the ESV, the NASB and other modern Bibles say “if a man… SEIZES her and lies with her” rather than raping her.

This doesn’t make it better as it allows criminals to kidnap women and have sex.

The KJV says, “If a man LAY HOLD on HER and THEY be FOUND,” the KJV shows consent since BOTH are caught together in the act.

Also, the Bible shows this to be normal since the man is just holding a woman.

Like Proverbs 3:18 says, “she is a tree of life to them that LAY HOLD upon her: and happy is everyone that retaineth her.”

It doesn’t show something abnormal or forced.

Chapter 30 Mistakes in Modern Bible Versions

The KJV Had Thousands of Changes and Mistakes?

To the Bible Believers, the King James Bible encompasses the perfect word of God. It is necessary to demand a perfect word of God because if we do not, we make the mistake of assuming God’s word has errors and will be unable to determine whether or not correct doctrine is taught.

A common criticism against the KJV as the perfect word of God is that it has been changed various times. A person can become scared and nervous when presented with this argument but fear not! Before we get to what those thousands and hundreds of changes are, let’s identify the difference between an edition and a revision. 

A revision occurs when there is a dramatic change in an idea. 

An edition is not the changing of ideas but typographical errors and sometimes of word spellings, as is in the case of the KJV. 

See how the argument falls through once you know the difference between revisions and editions? Critics will try to convince you that editions = revisions, but now you know they are not. 

There are many spelling changes because the words of 1611 English had different spellings as time progressed, hence the different editions. Another reason for these various editions, as stated before, are typographical errors. Even now, we can still see some typographical errors in our KJV, but can you imagine how many more were present in earlier times when printing machines were unavailable? Even with our advanced printing technology we still see some of these printing errors. This is, however, not a reason to throw your Bible away.

Let us now have a look at these so-called “erroneous changes” in the Bible (the more “serious” ones are the typographical ones).

Ruth 3:15 “Also he said, Bring the vail that thou hast upon thee, and hold it. And when she held it, he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her: and she went into the city.”

Before the change, it read ‘he’. The difference of one letter did not change the idea of the verse.

Matthew 26:36 “Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.”

Had Judas for Jesus

Exodus 20:14 “Thou shalt not commit adultery.”

Omitted ‘not’

Revelation 21:1 “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”

Omitted ‘no’

1 Corinthians 6:9 “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,”

Omitted the word ‘not’

Psalms 119:161 “Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.”

‘Printers’

Isaiah 57:12 “I will declare thy righteousness, and thy works; for they shall not profit thee.”

1 Timothy 5:21 “I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.”

1 King 8:19 “Nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house unto my name.”

Galatians 4:29 “But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.”

The phrase ‘to remain’ was inserted instead of a comma (,)

Ezekiel 47:10 “And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.”

‘Fishes’

Matthew 13:43 “Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.”

‘Ear’

Luke 14:26 “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.”

‘Wife’

Other instances include ‘camels’ instead of ‘damsels’, ‘not cause to bring to birth’ instead of ‘not to cause to bring forth’, ‘the fool has said in his heart there is a God’ instead of ‘there is no God’, and ‘yea further to yet he shall not find it’ instead of ‘yea farther’.

Now that we have seen examples of these typographical errors corrected throughout the editions, it is important to bring up another argument critics will try to use. Aside from the 6 or 7 editions since the 1800s, critics will bring up the Cambridge KJV versus the Oxford KJV edition of the 1900s. Critics will try to attack the Oxford version and say that the Cambridge version should be used instead because it had mistakes in it. 

If we take a look at these ‘serious mistakes,’ they are nothing more than typographical errors that do not take away from the idea of the verse. These are some of the typographical mistakes found in the Oxford version that are a cause for debate. When looking through these ‘mistakes’ yourselves, you’ll come to see that the typographical and spelling errors are not as serious as one may have you think.

Joshua 19:2 “And they had in their inheritance Beersheba, and Sheba, and Moladah,”

‘or Sheba’

2 Chronicles 33:19 “His prayer also, and how God was intreated of him, and all his sins, and his trespass, and the places wherein he built high places, and set up groves and graven images, before he was humbled: behold, they are written among the sayings of the seers.”

‘Since’

Job 33:4 “The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.”

Chapter 31 Mistakes in Modern Bible Versions

This KJV Trinity verse is Destroyed by Big Evidence? (1 John 5:7-8)

The greatest verse concerning the Trinity has been CUT OFF by modern Bible translators. 

1 John 5:7-8: “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.” 

For example, this is from the NIV:

1 John 5:7-8 (NIV): “For there are three that testify:8 the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.”

This is sound Christian doctrine about trinity. How could scholars possibly believe there would be any reason to omit it? The influence of Satan only can do this kind of thing.

The scholars claim that this verse should be omitted because of the Johannine comma and most Greek manuscripts do not support it. But there is so much other manuscript evidence that does support this verse.

The early church fathers also support it

They are the early church fathers. They come before the manuscripts of the modern Bible translations. They include Athanasius, Origen, Gregory of Nazianzus, John Chrysostom, Zacharias, Rhetor, Andrew of Crete, John of Damascus, Ignatius of Antioch, Phoebadius, Priscillian, Augustine, Ephrem the Syrian, etc. The modern scholars may claim that the early church fathers did not really quote 1 John 5.

At the Council of Carthage, they quote 1 John 5:7-8 as it is shown in the King James Bible! All the way back in the 3rd century! This is proof that this verse is not to be removed. 

Old manuscripts support it

The argument against this verse is that it isn’t supported by the majority of Greek manuscripts today. However, very ancient manuscripts such as Old Syriac Peshitta (170 AD) and Old Latin (157 AD) support this KJV’s verse.

Greek manuscripts back then are in a more superior shape than today’s

We have no idea what Greek manuscripts they had back then. We can be sure they had far more than we do now, in superior shape as well. It is arrogant and ignorant to take what we have today and treat it like we know better than the people of those times who had so much more at their fingertips. 

John Calvin recognized that this verse was omitted and said that it was probably by design and NOT mistake. He also said this omitted phrase appears in the best and most accurate manuscripts of the time and should probably be included! John Calvin himself said this, yet so many like James White will argue against it even when they idolize John Calvin.

Your Bible says Satan is God! (Morning Star)

Your Bible says Satan is God! What is Going on?

The most popular modern Bibles are the NIV, ESV, NASB, NKJV, and the NLT. They try to hide their errors behind footnotes and other in-text explanations of their mangling of the Scriptures.

God of forces or fortresses?

2 Samuel 22:2: “And he said, The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer.”

Daniel 11:38: “But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces.”

Now, the modern Bible translation change this to God of fortresses.

Who do we believe that the church was built upon? Jesus! He is the rock!

Matthew 16:18, 23: “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.”

We see here that Jesus never says that Peter is the rock. Jesus Himself is the rock.

1 Corinthians 10:4: “And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.”

But modern Bibles say, “Peter, the rock!” But look back at verse 23. What does Jesus call Peter? Satan! Do we really believe that the church was built upon Satan?

God is the God of all ages, not this age only

Ephesians 3:21: “Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”

God is the God of all ages. That’s what we believe in as real Bible believers. But what do the modern Bible translations say? They say that God is the God of this age.

2 Corinthians 4:4: “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

It’s Satan! Modern Bible translations are blasphemous to speak of God in this way and mix Him up with Satan.

Demons that were not God?

Deuteronomy 32:17: “They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.”

Modern Bibles say that they sacrificed to demons that were not God. Why do they have to say it like that? Are they saying there are demons that can be God?

The morning star is Jesus, not Lucifer

Isaiah 14:12: “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!”

In the modern translations, they call Lucifer morningstar! But we know the morning star is Jesus in the following verses, not Lucifer!

Revelation 22:16: “I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”

2 Peter 1:19: “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts.”

Revelation 22:16: “I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”

Jesus Christ is the bright morning star.

gods instead of God

When the Antichrist comes out, he’s going to reject the one and only God. The modern Bibles say “gods.”

Daniel 11:7: “Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.”

Satan is “G”od

The following verse, the modern Bibles capitalizes “He” in the Bible or the footnote. It doesn’t make it any clearer. Is Satan God? This reveals the true identity and intent behind modern versions.

2 Thessalonians 2:7: “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.”

Bible Teachers Who Defend Lucifer to be Jesus!

In Latin, when you translate Lucifer into English, it means morning star. This is how modern Bible translators try to justify their wrong translations.

In the book of Job, angels are called morning stars. Lucifer’s name translated in Latin to “morning star.”

They also criticize the King James Bible as an inferior translation because they focus on Hebrew and Greek but not Latin. Yet they are using Latin in their argument of Lucifer as the morning star! They are hypocritical in their argument against Bible believers.

Lucifer in Hebrew is Heylel. Heylel in Hebrew is “light-bearer.” So, these modern Bible scholars are so hypocritical that they don’t even use their precious Hebrew in their argument here. Instead, they go to the Latin that they always call inferior. Even the Hebrew Old Testaments are able to separate Lucifer from being called morning star (Hebrew interlinear Old Testament, Reina Valera, Tanakh).

Matthew 8:28-29: “And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way. And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?”

This story proves that Jesus would NEVER refer to any demon, especially Lucifer, as the same name as God.

Hebrews 1:5: “For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?”

He would never call Lucifer the “Morning Star” like He calls Himself. The demons call Him Son of God, but Jesus doesn’t respond by calling them the same thing.

James White Accuses Gene Kim for Bad Argumentation!

James White is gaining momentum among Calvinists because of his debates. Calvinists love to debate and they always argue against KJV-onlyists. They are hypocrites because they take any harsh comments against them personally, when they are constantly attacking the true Word of God!

In James White’s recent debates he seems like a nice guy, but he was a sarcastic bully in previous videos. That’s precisely why Gene Kim is justified in using sarcastic language back at him.

Let’s look at preaching in the Bible. There are so many instances where righteous anger is justified. We see it throughout the Prophets who are trying to defend the Word of God and set the people they love back in the right direction. Perhaps the most famous story comes when Jesus overturns the tables in the temple and drives out the sellers with a whip.

Matthew 21:10-17: “And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee. And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them. And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased, And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise? And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.”

Would you dare call Jesus childish for his actions in this story? Absolutely not! Jesus was completely justified in everything He did. Jesus did what He did in the temple because He was defending the Word of God against those who would make a mockery of it. There is a time and place that you have to put your foot down and defend the truth. That’s precisely what Jesus was doing.

In preaching in the Bible, you see sarcasm. You see people being mean and what people today would call “childish.” It was once wisely said that if you want the truth that bad, you won’t care how it’s given to you. Embrace the truth of the King James Bible as the perfect Word of God. God elevated His Word above His own name. It is sacred and perfect.

2 Corinthians 2:17: “For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.” If we hide behind politeness and fake love, we are a fake person. As children of God, we must defend His Word with everything we have, if other people appreciate it or not.

KJV is Hard to Read. THAT’S NOT A GOOD EXCUSE

It is essential to demand a perfect word of God. As Bible believers, we believe it is the King James Bible. If we do not believe in a perfect word of God, we will be unsure as to whether or not a verse means what it says. This confuses people in determining the correct doctrine and where one questions if their Christian faith is correct. 

A common criticism against the KJV is that it is difficult to read. If we recall our first time reading a KJV, we can say that it was difficult. Because it is difficult to understand, some use this as an excuse to turn toward modern versions. However, this is unwise since it gives us an excuse to sin with the claim that the KJV is not understandable or clear. Sin is not justifiable in any context, and modern bibles present the wrong doctrine, leading to sin. We should avoid modern Bibles.

Mark 9:30: “And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it. For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day. But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.”

Taking a look at the passage above, let us assume Jesus spoke plainly to the disciples in their language. Even though they understood Jesus, it was still difficult to understand what he meant when speaking to the disciples. The point is that even if God spoke to anyone in their native language, especially those that are starting out in their faith, that person would still have trouble understanding or rather comprehending some things that God was saying.

And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.  For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.

These verses are pretty plain, detailing how human beings will crucify Jesus and that he will raise himself from the dead.

But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.

However, the disciples did not understand what Jesus meant, despite speaking in their language.

Now, let us assume that God speaks directly to one of us via vision revelation. If we are honest, we still would not understand what we saw. Take Daniel, for instance.

Daniel 12:4-5,7-8: “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river. And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.  And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?”

Even Daniel had a difficult time understanding God’s revelation!

The point here is that the words of God are difficult, period. We overcome this difficulty in understanding by growing spiritually. We grow spiritually by hearing the teaching and preaching of our pastor, using other doctrinally sound resources, and reading the KJV repeatedly so we can get used to the language, thus making it easier to understand. If you take a difficult book and read it over and over, you are going to understand more of it than the first time you read it. This is common knowledge/practice when reading something difficult: you read it until you understand. Then, when you have grown spiritually from how many times you read the KJV, a lot of the language will become common sense.

1 Corinthians 2:12-14: “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world,

Because we live in this world, we are used to the world’s communication/language. When reading God’s word, a Christian should not apply a worldly understanding/communication to God’s word because it will not make sense to them.

but the spirit which is of God;

This contrasts the spirit of the world previously mentioned.

that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

And this is how we gain understanding (of God’s word), by God’s spirit who gives understanding.

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth

In other words, we do not need modern Bible scholars to give us more accessible English to understand the word of God. That is not how God operates.

but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The only way we can truly understand God’s word is through spiritual discernment given to us by the Holy Ghost inside us. This happens with spiritual growth, and when that happens, you’ll understand the KJV in its simplicity.

Ecclesiastes 8:4: “Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?”

We should ask why God gave us the King James Bibles in Elizabethan English to read and not the English of today? The answer is in Ecclesiastes, where it says:

Where the word of a king is, there is power

King James Version. God’s word is found in a king.

Who is our King of Kings?

God Almighty.

His word has authority and power, so it makes sense that His perfect word would be written in an English form that would exude authority and power, unlike today’s modern English. The difference in power and authority is apparent between the KJV and modern Bible versions.

This is why people curse with the word ‘Hell” instead of “Hades” and take Jesus’ name in vain, among other things. They know that it exudes authority, whether consciously or not. Modern Bibles replace Jesus’ name to diminish His authority while unbelievers mock Christians with “thee” and “thou”https://realbiblebelievers.com/original-greek-supports-kjv-words-ye-you-thou-thee/ because they recognize that they are authoritative for the Christian faith.

The point is that God gave us a King James Bible with Elizabethan English for a reason; He wants to provide us with the best authoritative kind of English in existence. English scholars recognize Elizabethan English as authoritative as well, so why can’t believers?

1 Samuel 9:6-11: “And he said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is an honourable man; all that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither; peradventure he can shew us our way that we should go. Then said Saul to his servant, But, behold, if we go, what shall we bring the man? for the bread is spent in our vessels, and there is not a present to bring to the man of God: what have we? And the servant answered Saul again, and said, Behold, I have here at hand the fourth part of a shekel of silver: that will I give to the man of God, to tell us our way.  (Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to enquire of God, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer: for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.) Then said Saul to his servant, Well said; come, let us go. So they went unto the city where the man of God was. And as they went up the hill to the city, they found young maidens going out to draw water, and said unto them, Is the seer here?”

This passage gives us insight into what people of King Saul’s time thought about archaic language or how they reacted to its use.

(Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to enquire of God, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer: for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.)

We establish that the current word is ‘Prophet’ and the archaic word is ‘Seer’.

And as they went up the hill to the city, they found young maidens going out to draw water, and said unto them, Is the seer here?

King Saul himself did not make a big deal out of archaic language because he and his company both used the archaic word ‘Seer’ when enquiring about a Prophet. If the Bible doesn’t make a deal out of archaic words, then we shouldn’t either.

Jupiter-Zeus – KJV Pastor Debunks Greek Hebrew Scholar

Paul, Hermes or Paul, Mercury?

One of the common arguments against the King James Bible is that the word associations were wrong where in Barnabas Jupiter should have been Barnabas Zeus and Paul Mercurius should have been Paul Hermes instead.

Acts 14:12: “And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.”

The argument against this is that Jupiter should be Zeus and that Mercurius should be Hermes. Jupiter and Mercurius are Roman interpretations of these Greek deity and gods.In the passage above, Paul was Mercurius/Hermes in the human form because he spoke well and was the principal speaker.

If you look them up online under something as simple as Wikipedia or Google translate, you will see that Jupiter is Zeus and Mercurius is Hermes. It doesn’t take any knowledge or research beyond what your average person is capable of to figure this out. It is a sad excuse for an argument against the infallibility of King James Bible.

Zion vs Sion

Psalm 65:1-2: “Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed. O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.”

Deuteronomy 4:48: “From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river Arnon, even unto mount Sion, which is Hermon.”

Those against the King James Bible will say that both of these verses contain an error, as Zion is distinguished as a different place as Sion, and where the King James Bible uses Sion it should be Zion. But that is not true. “Zion” in the Bible has always referred to many different places on heaven and on Earth. Sion was also used in the same manner, often interchangeably with Zion. So this is not an error at all, but very consistent with the uses of the words in other Bible passages.

Perfection of the Bible was a process over time

1 John 5:7: “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

Detractors will say there are no manuscripts with this line until the Vulgate in the 1500s. They will base their entire argument against this. But we have already gone through this verse and seen why it is essential to be included in the Word of God.

After Jesus went back to heaven, all scholars believe the Bible faced corruptions. There can be a long length of time for God to complete His perfection process. God demands a perfect Word of God, as we see evidenced in the Scripture. The Bible faced corruption after Jesus’ ascension, and the perfecting process didn’t take place overnight. God’s Word was perfected with the King James Bible.

Those people who evangelized and brought people to faith during that perfection process did indeed win souls for Christ. We are all imperfect people, and God uses us for Kingdom purposes nonetheless. He did the same with the people of those times, before they had the perfect Word of God. God can use many men throughout time to complete the perfection process.

The perfection of Jesus

Luke 13:32: “And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.”

This verse in Greek is written in the past tense. Detractors will try to claim that Jesus didn’t go through a process of perfection, but was perfect all along. But the Bible says that even Jesus, the Word of God, went through a perfection process. Luke 13:32 makes it obvious, in both Greek and English.

When is Jesus perfected?

On the third day!

Jesus was indeed perfect as God from the beginning. The perfection process that is going on here is the completion of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. It is the fulfillment of the work that He came to Earth to accomplish.

Some will say that people with other versions of the Bible end up believing in the same fundamental truths of the faith, so in the end, why does it truly matter? Why are we judging those other Bible translations when we all believe in the same basic truths?

This argument sounds logical, but it’s not. It’s not true. Modern Bible versions are contradictory with King James Bible versions on key issues of Christian doctrine. It’s not all the same. Modern Bible versions attack the correct views of fundamental Christian doctrine. They like to use Greek and Hebrew to pick and choose different definitions of words to mold doctrines into their own beliefs. They want to mold the Bible to fit into their lives instead of molding their lives around the Bible.

The Question that Stumps KJV-Only Believers

Bible believers trust the KJV Bible as the perfect word of God. Demanding a perfect Bible/Word of God is essential to having correct doctrine. After all, how can you trust an imperfect Word to base your doctrine?

KJV-Only critics often ask a specific question to attack the KJV-Only belief because to most people, this is an unanswerable question:

“Where was the perfect Word of God when editions of the KJV, such as the 1611 and 1769, were published?”

These skeptics may follow with the questions “Which KJV edition is perfect?” and “Where was the Word of God back then?” If you answer them with a specific version, they’ll make sure to point out the typographical errors/spelling changes in an attempt to overthrow your faith in the Word of God. They may also say that these editions indicate the KJV does not contain the pure words of God. 

If we concede to the critics by telling them we cannot answer this question, they may feel like they have won this argument. But you have the opportunity to ask them a follow-up question:

“Where can I get the perfect words of God in my hands?”

You will find most KJV-Only critics cannot answer this question or will reply with “there is none available/we cannot find the right words of God.” This leaves a problem: Where can we find the perfect word of God? How can we know the correct meaning of a specific verse? Many preachers correct the Bible using the Greek/Hebrew context, but how do they know their meaning is correct unless they knew it already? 

Many Scholars’ Religions are Based on Biased Belief

Scholars often pick and choose which words they feel are correct, and they’ll usually try to support their beliefs using Greek/Hebrew context. Scholars will look up certain words in lexicons or ancient dictionaries for the Old Testament (Hebrew) and New Testament (Greek). In their minds, they can choose which words are correct for the Bible. But when they find the words in the lexicon, there are often many different definitions for each word. Also, not all of the lexicons agree. Biased scholars pick and choose which definition they want to apply to a certain word in the Bible. 

Who is the Final Authority?

For these biased scholars, the final authority is not God but themselves. People can pick and choose which word they feel is most applicable whether it’s the Nestle Aland text or the Greek/Hebrew lexicons. As a result, fifty independent people would likely have fifty different definitions of the correct Word of God. This is why there are over 200 translations of the Bible. The final authority is themselves. 

No Answer from the Skeptics

You will find the KJV-Only skeptics cannot answer where they can find the perfect Word of God. If they do try to answer, they will have to admit that they are the ones who decide and are biased. How can you debunk wrong doctrine with a verse if you biasedly picked the word’s definition of the verse?

So even if neither you nor the skeptic can answer the question, this does not change the fact that we believe we have the perfect Word of God that will correct us while correcting the book. So if they can’t answer our question and we can’t answer their question. Who do you think is in a better position? 

KJV-Only Believers are in a Better Position than the Skeptics

These skeptics are biased and think they can correct the words of the Bible. Therefore, they cannot have faith that every word God says is right, and they cannot trust their doctrine on it. We KJV-Only believers still have our faith secure and strong because we believe the KJV Bible is perfect. We do not use biased beliefs and instead let the book correct us. 

Every high educated scholar knows there are things in life we cannot answer. Just because there are things we cannot answer, it does not overthrow truth and fact.

WHAT?! Greek Scholars Teach Jehovah’s Witness Error (Eph. 1:2-3)

Ephesians 1:2-3: “Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:”

Why should we bless God? He deserves blessing, honor, and praise. He is the one that gave us the blessing to begin with, who gave us power when we needed it.

Now, the first part of verse 3 is important. It says, “The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 

Titus 2:13: “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;”

Here is an important rule of interpretation, “Hendiadys.” Hendiadys is a figure of speech that is used as a collective form that is referring to the one and same person. Sometimes it can be two titles for the same person. It is putting the great God and the Saviour Jesus Christ together. 

Jehovah witnesses will say Titus 2:13 is about two separate beings. The evidence that Ephesians 1:3 is about the one and same person is: “blessed be the God and Father.” 

If Jehovah witnesses disagree about Titus 2:13, “great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ, “being the same person, show them Eph 1:3. If they say Titus 2:13 is about two separate beings since it says, “and”, then God and the Father in Eph 1:3 should also be two separate beings.

Continuing on verse 3, we see that we are blessed in heavenly places in Christ. This is a huge blessing. Right now, we have a reservation made up in heaven. That means we now have access to these spiritual blessings. 

Ephesians 2:6 “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:”

Notice it is in the past tense; it says we already have a seat in heaven. One may say, “But I am here on earth.” The real “you” is the spiritual nature within. This spiritual nature is already in heaven. So, right now, you are tasting your spiritual blessings in heaven. If you are in Christ, you must know that the Holy Spirit can be everywhere. He is not bound inside your body and can be at many places at the same time. Your spirit is currently connected with the Holy Spirit in heaven.

This is one of the promises of salvation that a saved Christian receives upon being saved.

Why Greek/Hebrew Scholars Made Me KJV Only

Bible believers believe that the King James Bible is the perfect word of God. In the case of Dr. Gene Kim,  it is a book that is against the KJV that made him KJV only, Nestle-Aland’s. This particular text presents its reading in a shocking way with some disturbing quotes, those of which will be presented below.

“The text shared by these two additions was adopted internationally by Bible societies and following an agreement between the Vatican and the United Bible societies it has served as the basis for new translations and for revisions made under their supervision.“

This text admits that modern Bibles and their revisions are Roman Catholic, plain and simple.

Other passages admit that KJV has the majority of manuscript evidence or the majority of witnesses. In spite of this, they go with the modern versions that have the minority of witnesses because they claim are older, which is not true.  In short, the Sinaiticus and Vaticanus have deliberate additions and tampering in the form of varying degrees of coloration of some pages and different styles of handwriting, both of which suggest that some pages/text are newer than others.

Not only that, when discussing the antiquity of texts, the Syriac Peshitta and Old Latin are two 2nd century manuscripts that often come up. The antiquity of these texts is supported by the people studying the events of those living in the medieval era. Edward F. Hill, a scholar with ties to Harvard and other higher education institutions, pointed out a papyrus manuscript called the Bohairic manuscript which competes with other papyrus manuscripts as well as other 2nd century manuscripts for the oldest manuscript. Funny enough, Alexandrian manuscripts, which are those that originate from Alexandria, Egypt where modern versions stem from, actually support KJV readings rather than modern Bibles.

Another quote from Nestle Aland’s text supports the majority of witnesses, a characteristic we attribute to the KJV. They use the symbol TR, which “indicates readings supported by the majority of all manuscripts always including manuscripts of the Koine type”.

In other words, TR is supported by the majority of witnesses, much like the manuscripts that support the KJV and unlike the Alexandrian modern versions. Another thing is that these TR manuscripts include those of the Koine Greek type, which the scholars support. This begs the question of why scholars support modern versions with two manuscripts to back them up as opposed to the KJB which has multiple supporting manuscripts, some of which are written in Koine Greek. Dishonesty of scholars at its best.

“Finally a word of thanks is due to the scholars who have reviewed and criticized our work, we have learned much from them and we earnestly request they and all our readers will continue to contribute toward the improvement of this edition. That the cause of New Testament scholarship may be advanced”.

Interestingly enough, these scholars do not take the above text in their foreword literally since they cannot in fact take criticism when pointing out corruption in their modern Bibles. The immediate defense is that those accused were not deliberately tampering with God’s word but were possibly confused when translating the original texts. If this is the case, does corruption exist to these scholars seeing as anyone can make a “mistake” when translating the bible and if corruption does not exist then why would Paul make a mention of people perverting the word of God in 2 Corinthians 2? Given their lack of a final authority through a perfect word of God it is no wonder they accept any version of the Bible except the KJV.

2 Corinthians 2:17 “For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.”

Paul mentions that there are many who corrupt God’s perfect word, meaning that corrupt Bibles did and still do exist today.

Revelation 22:18-19 “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

John warns about adding or subtracting from the word of God (whether it pertains to the entire bible or just Revelation is irrelevant since it should not be done either way). A perfect example of this is when one compares the Western manuscripts and the Alexandrian manuscripts to Byzantine manuscripts, those of which either added more, subtracted more, or left it as is, respectively. The Byzantine manuscripts are where we get our King James Bible.

Psalm 12:6-7 “The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”

Through this verse we can be sure that God will preserve His word forever, meaning that any past, current, or future generation cannot do anything to prevent it.
